Way Off Topic... Three Random Things About You
Lounge By edencakes Updated 1 Mar 2014 , 1:25am by karina_lisa2010
ok, so I'm realitivly new to here but might as well plunge in head first. Here goes:
1) I am ticklish all over my body, discovered much to the delight of several boyfriends. They loved to torture me with it.
2) I'm moving to France in August to be an au pair for a year or two. I can't bring my cake decorating stuff though because of luggage restrictions. Im ready to cry just thinking of it.
3) I am secretly addicted to cheesy romance novels. I can go through 1 a day if i have time.
O.K. here I go...
1) I have too many hobbies: sewing, cake baking/decorating, learning to knit and home remodeling.
2) I have kept on a total of 48 pounds of baby weight (40 from my first and eight from my second)
3) I am a firm believer in karma and the golden rule
4) Even though I was married and 23, I hid my second pregnancy from my father for almost 5 months because he is a very negative person and never has anything good to say.
this is awesome!!!!
well about me... btw im only 19....................
1. had a kidney transplant around a year ago, and have spent 3 birthdays in the hospital! (my brother gave me his kidney)

)

Let's see...
1. I have known my husband since I was 5 years old but we didn't start dating until I was 30, we have been married now for almost 7 years. The funniest part about this is that I never would have pictured myself as his wife. When people ask how we met he jokes and tells them it was arranged.
2. Both my husband and I are first generation American - both sets of parents came to the United States in the early 60s.
3. I traded in my power suits and executive salary to be a stay at home mom and I gotta say I love being a mom and wife more than anything in this world.
I'm 37 and work full time as a Legal Accountant and as a Mum to my daughter aged 11, moonlight as a baker and cake decorator.
I married at 21 and divorced at 30 became totally bitter and twisted and yet found the most fabulous man three years ago and although convinced I would never marry again, did last year. So I do believe its only in the last three years I've realised what its like to be loved and love equally.
Oh and I'll give you the scoop of the century that nobody else apart from my husband knows, we're trying for a baby and I want one so much I keep saving all your baby shower cakes. Please god someday I'll get to use them.
May I join in?

Wow, what a great thread, so glad you revived it!
1. Sittin' here in a wheelchair (temporarily, recovering from foot surgery and really racking up the posts here) and baking cookies for my Father's Day cookie challenge.
2. Love my kitty Gus, he is my bf next to my husband and never leaves my side.
3. Active at church but haven't been able to go this last month as I can't get a ride, husband works Sunday's and don't have someone that can get me down the front steps in a wheelchair but they all come to visit and bring food and flowers. Love those guys.
4. One more thing...I work as an executive assistant to a high powered partner in an accounting firm whom I babysit and who makes 10 times more money than I do and can't do his job without me. HA! I will be out on disability until September and from what I hear the temp doing my job is driving him crazy. We'll see what the Christmas bonus is this year!
I just now started reading this thread, haven't finished the whole thing yet, but intend to. I have really enjoyed learning so much about everyone! Here goes:
1) I am a SAHM of 2 boys, ages 11 and 8. Been married for almost 12 years. And I turned the BIG 3-0 this year! Still can't believe that!
2) It has always been my passion (the only way to describe it) to learn sign language! I haven't done it yet, but really want to. I can sign the alphabet and the the song "God Is So Good', that's it.
3) I am a very empathic person. When someone is hurting, I feel their pain. You can not cry in front of me without me crying with you!!! (sometimes I don't know if this is a blessing or a curse)
NeeNee30, hope you fulfill your passion to learn sign language. They offer courses alot these days. My sister in law learned it watching video tapes while walking on her treadmill. I have a deaf sister that lost her hearing at the age of 2. She is 60 now so I have learned some sign language. We sorta have our own personal signs we have used since I was old enough to talk to her. My sister just retired from teaching school for 30 years. She taught at the State School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC.
Being empathic is a blessing and a curse for sure. I am told all the time that I am a weeper. Just let someone start crying and I'm crying with them. If my daughter or son cries about something, I realy lose it.

This has been such an interesting thread to read!
Three things about me...
1) I can say the alphabet backwards in less than 5 seconds.
2) I cannot blow a bubble with bubble gum.
3) A turkey smashed into the windshield of my car recently--CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!
I went to Switzerland last summer and went canyoning which began with jumping off a 60 foot waterfall. (By far the most amazing experience of my life!!!)
I played really competitive soccer my whole life and I didn't play in college so I would have time to pursue cake decorating.
I can't wait to get married and have a family. I'm only 21 so I'm not in a hurry to do it...I'm just excited about it happening eventually.
1. I met my husband when he was a junior and I was a senior in high school, we got married four days after I turned 21 and will be celebrating our 11th anniversary at the end of the month. We have three wonderful children (1 boy and two girls) 7, 5 and a 17 month old that apparently requires just a few hours sleep!
We would surely have more if we had more money and a bigger home.
2. I am blessed to have an employer that has allowed me to work from home 9 months after having my first child. It suits me well since I am painfully shy.
3. Before I found this site I hated frosting - then I made one of the buttercream recipes here and now I've lost any chance of recovering a waistline again! Although I just found out my cholesterol is awfully high so I may have no choice. Sadly the first thing I thought of when my doctor told me was, "Nooooo! What about cake . . . I can't give up cake!
1. I have a 64 bus in my driveway that doesn't run but I wont sell because I'm too attached.
2. I teach Sunday school at my church and LOVE IT! Love Jesus too!
3. I am a total GARAGE SALE JUNKIE! I can't hardly stand to pay full price for anything! The other day we were at Wallmart and my daughter wanted something and I told her sorry that the item cost too much..and she said" Can't we talk 'em down?" LOL I was so proud.
Okay, i'll shoot. ![]()
Um
1. I'm a homeschooler. My mother started teaching me when I was 8. I love every minute of it. ![]()
2. I love playing the piano. I taught myself how to play by playing by ear. I do not know how to read notes so every song I know I learned by ear.
3. I LOVE weather. I love learning everything there is about weather. From Hurricanes to blizzards. My family calls me they're weathergirl.
Jami
ok here I am:
1. Wanted to become an art teacher when I became pregnant of my first son. Since the nearest school is 4 hours away, decided to drop that idea.
2. I'm a cat lover who wants a Maine Coon cat in the near future, but right now I have a Maltese dog
at least it's the same size of a kitten ![]()
3. I'm intolerant to intolerance. I hate racism, sexism, and everything that makes someone else feel bad.... I like everyone until that person proves me wrong....
Hey Poochie Your # 2 & 3 are so me I really got weired out! I love maine coon cats!! I LOVE cats. I have 60-75 cat pic frames all with pics of my cat. I do not have a dog.
Your #3 is so me that really weirded
me out!!
I had a dream 2 years ago about a big cat, really big cat didn't know that it exixted. And the next morning I saw the exact same cat, same color, same size and all, and fell in love with that beautiful race.
And I live in a town that half of the population is Native people. Some 'whites' are racists, and say really bad things. The thing I say to these people is ' move somewhere else'. My great grand-mother was a native so it hurts me real bad.
Today, the Native Cree center called me to do their cake for Indian day next week!!! Woohoo!!! A cake for 150 people, with the local newspaper there, and the people from communities all around here....
dang you go girl
I mapquested where you live today. Cause I have no idea about Canada. You are out in the sticks! Does it get really cold there?
-40? I would die! How do you do anything? How do you keep your car able to run?
