MMM.

Kay's been cookin' fried taters & chicken (waiting by mailbox patiently for mine!) that sounds really great!

icon_rolleyes.gif Tonight I made Hamburger Helper (chili cheese) for the youngest and myself and the chihuahua.

The Old Man's doing a security job 'til midnight, so he won't eat here. I've got to be back to work Tues, so I was baking/freezing all day.

WHY do I do this again? icon_sad.gif

DD and hubby had tator tots and sandwiches.
My son and I had my homemade chili he has begging for. Our weather has been cool and rainy so I gave in and made it. Chili bothers DH stomach and DD only eats the chili to have a bunch of crackers with a tiny bit of chili. She did eat alittle for a snack before bed.

My son doesn't like anybody else's chili but mine icon_biggrin.gif Gotta love him.

Well finally made it back from vacation. Made it back a day early really, but had some softball games to go to so tonight is the first i've been able to get on CC.

So here is the last 11 days in review.... (and in close order b/c I can't remember for sure!)

Still in civilization..........
-Friday-Best thin crust pizza I have ever had (they make a real crust not the premade stuff a lot of places use) *ate half of a large after 13 hrs on the road traveling all day* Had it at a local place where I was on vacation
-Saturday-Ok I did a lot of racking of my brain to remember this night... but it was French Dip Sandwhich with a side salad w/ ranch dressing.

Headed out to the wilderness so here was our menu for the week. The guy cooking on our trip was a great cook. Evidently he doesn't cook at home, but he will when we're out canoeing and camping and it was great!
-Sunday-Steaks, Augratin potatoes, Corn Bread
-Monday-Pork chops, Hashbrowns
-Tuesday-Spagetti, brownies
-Wednesday-Chicken with chicken rice
-Thursday-Scrambled eggs with sausage
-Friday-Beefy rice, AppleDelight

Came out of Quetico park a day early so we treated our selves right..(And I was still kinda hungry after this meal)
-Saturday-
-Appetizer-Mozzarella Sticks, Potatoe skins w/all the fixins
-Soup-Cheddar cheese potatoe with wild rice
-Bread-Homemade wheat bread with honey butter (and the bread was still warm)
-Entree-8 oz grilled Sirloin with large baked potatoe w/ butter and Sourcream
-Desert-Chocolate lava cake with homemade whip cream.

Made it home a day early so before softball games....
-Sunday-Had a friend pick up chineese and deliver

Took today off to get settled in back home, was suppose to have class and it was cancled (yeah!) so I had time to cook.
-Monday- Spagetti with Croissants.... and I am thinking some of that Blue Bunny Chocolate fudge brownie chocolate icecream for dessert.

SO not to catch up on all the other post I missed out on I know I won't have time to read through 54 pages icon_sad.gif So If there is anything I missed and I should know about make sure to let me know!

Good to be back,
Leily

Left over choices MY Chili sons choice, Taco Salad DD choice, Dh doesn't care much for either so I fried him some hamburgers and tator tots. So now I'm all alone trying to find out what to have and pizza sounds real good right now. But don't have the fixins. NOT EVEN A FROZEN ONE icon_cry.gif

Ok I am inventing tonight. Wanted pizza no sauce but left over taco fixins. So found a recipe for bisquick(jiffy) mix for dough for a chicken pizza using sour cream in dough. So there you go for the dough. Mixed the taco meat and refried beans together. Spread on dough topped with cheddar cheese. I am waiting for outcome right now thumbs_up.gif I will let you now how it tastes when done

ugh I feel for ya- I had migraines and big time nausea attached for several days- had nothing to report foodwise anyway as I wasnt eating much of anything for a few days lol. All better now though lol

Today hmm what didnt I eat? LOL the store where I make sushi at has other counters around the deli, like the chinese kitchen and the salads and deli and hot case with roast chicken and lasagna and what not. So once i na while the girls leave something in the very back for all of us to kinda munch on. Today someone made a pan of nachos. So I had some of those and then I took home some leftover gyoza and 'sampled' some brownies with strawberry mousse on top at work too icon_biggrin.gif my my and I'm still hungry lol damnit

We ended up having honey ham and cheese pizza the other night. Found some honey ham we stored in the freezer for this very reason. I know it sounds gross but really it is delicious. My family eats it better than any other kind I fix.

Tonight was ham and turkey and cheese sandwiches. No one was really feeling up to cooking. I have lupus and it attacks my joints just like arthritis so I spent all day aching as it is cool weather right now.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better as the family wants venison, gravy, fried potatoes, and whatever veggies. Think I'll go down the road and pick up some okra the neighbors are selling and fry it too.

Oh you had me with the venison, gravy and fried potetoes, but I don't like okra so that would have to go. Around here we just call it deer. My hubby sold his riffle a few years ago cause we needed the money and he didn't have time to hunt. But we love deer steaks so much you are makin my mouth water icon_cry.gif again icon_cry.gif You bring back some wonderful memories with my (step) DAD icon_biggrin.gif and hunting got alot of stories icon_lol.gif anyway got to beg borrow and steal to get some deer icon_cry.gif
How do you prepare your venison (DEER)??? please make me icon_cry.gif some more. My teenage son has a bow and is going to try this year to get us some icon_biggrin.gif

aaahhhh, where have I been??? oh yeah-the in-laws icon_eek.gif I am worn out from chasing the little one around the baby house of death! No locks on the cabinets, a bird from hell that makes a mess around his cage and now my ds can get out of the pack n play and open the door when he's ready to get up in the am sooooo I don't sleep keeping an ear out for him! Took us till yesterday to get back on routine!!

What have I eaten....hhhhmmm...had ravioli one night (my in a pinch need a quickie meal), had chicken in some kind of asian marinade I bought with jasmine rice and veggies

Tonight:

dh wants hamburgers, oven fries and I'll make some kind of veggie (I'm kind of anal about making sure the ds gets his veggies-I know once I have another kid or two they can chew nails and I won't care as long as they are quiet!! At least that's what all my friends say!! icon_lol.gif

Getting ready to bake a baby shower cake for my cousin and a football helmet cake (I'm gettin' paid for this one-woohoo!!) and a birthday cake for a good friend for this weekend.

Glad you liked the soup morningglories!

knox-cakes made you crazy yet?

Glad you're back leily!! We kept your seat at the table warm for you!
