Ok I usually call it deer too but I posted it as deer in a different forum and no one knew what I was talking about...lol. Still not sure if we're going to have okra. My Dh doesn't have time to hunt either but my brother is the one who got the deer. I batter mine in flour and seasonings and fry on top of the stove in oil. That's it. I make the gravy from the drippings after the meat is finished.

Dodibug,
My mom is anal about us having green veggies. My kids love veggies so it doesn't matter to me if they get them every meal. When they do get veggies they don't want to eat their meat so we have their dad throwing a fit for them not eating meat. And my mom throwing a fit if we don't have veggies. So I just fix whatever I want and tell them to deal with it...lol. I don't care either way just as long as they eat what is on their plate. And they are required to try new things once. My ds has a long list of no way I won't eat that again. My dd has a very very short list of things she doesn't like.

rice
spinach
glass of red (I know, not with fish)

and at home fudgesicle

ouch.gifouch.gif Oh, my--gobs, Y'all! I. am. so. freakin'. tired. And I still have a ton more to do on this wedding cake. But--not so much as I DID have to do!

I've worked all 4 past days, 1st shift and THEN I've come home to decorate/bake/mix. I've done a lot of tiny wedding cakes--this is my first really "huge" one. Big production they're having tomorrow!

Have you ever been so tired you just wanted to cry? Yeah. Well--I'm already there. ouch.gif Everything hurts--especially my feet.

What's been for dinner? Last night I did the crockpot bbq ribs and had cheese bread with it. Thank the Lord for crockpots!

Tonight I guess I'm going to fry up a quick hamburger. I could care less about eating, but y'all know how it goes.

I love weddings. I swear I do--but this one and this week has literally kicked my a$$!

Love y'all much--keep me in your thoughts tonight and tomorrow.

GOOD LUCK KNOX icon_biggrin.gif You will do great we know you will thumbs_up.gif

Kids including my usual extras(Babbysitting icon_cry.gif ) Had the left over chili from earlier this week that I froze. DH had a left over baked potato and grilled cheese. And I have no idea what I will have. Probably cake scraps. I will be decorating a B-day cake for my niece kind of last minute. She's a tween girl and likes dolphins and girly girl stuff so I can't figure out what I want to do icon_confused.gif

Fri. nite: No one wanted to eat. The kiddo's asked to go to bed and all they wanted was water. I was right there with them, we had a day of Dental visits and running errands so we were exhausted.

Sat nite: Tuna salad sandwiches
Chips & Coke

Knox how are those 'barking dogs' doing? Hopefully everything worked out okay.

Hey, Y'all!

Back to reality today, after sleeping about 8 hours!

Thanks for all the support, guys. I really learned a few things on this one. icon_cool.gif Last night I ordered Papa John's for myself and my youngest. It'd been at least 24 hours since I'd eaten, so I was ready for that!

Pics in the gallery. I should probably do a piece on "near disaster," but I dunno.

Tonight:

Hamburger gravy on toast
Green beans
Tea w/lemons & limes

Kay: Wouldn't that be nice?

*clears throat into phone*

"Yes, I'm calling to place a claim on my auto insurance policy. Yes. No. No--it was property damage, not physical damage. Yes. The property? Oh, well--that. Yes, it was a wedding cake. Right. Right. Well, my husband is a complete dumba$$, and since he's an officer, he thinks that all yellow lights mean you should start cussin' and screamin' and slam on the breaks. Right, but see? I spent like $300 of my personal money on this cake, and I just thought since I pay y'all like a king's ransom, then..."

icon_rolleyes.gif

Swamp Witch: That party sounds like you should send me a tupperwear plate full in the mail, girl! Get on it right now, so I won't have to shop on Wednesday! *waits patiently tapping toes by mailbox*

Tonight:

Salisbury steak
Twice baked potatoes
Broccoli
Tea
