Hi guys!

I've officially entered my insanely busy stretch. We're moving next month (mid-May, all dependent on when the contractors finish up and we get our occupancy permit). Our stables are up and running (check out www.Castlewoodstables.com to see what's been sucking up all of our free time lately!). My hubby has been working a ton of hours at his "real" job, still traveling a ton, and we're now at the point where marketing and getting the word out for our "side" business is vital. So, no free time for us. But, six months from now, we'll be settled, our business will (God willing!) be booming, and we'll look back at this time as just a blip.

Booty camp is officially over. I still wish I could have done the five days a week for the whole month, but you do what you can, I guess. I have lost right under five pounds. And, I have discovered that I really can push myself a lot harder than I ever have. I don't think I ever really effectively worked out before this. So now I just need to keep pushing myself to keep the intensity up!

Tina, have a great time in New Orleans! Everyone else who isn't lucky enough to be whisking away for a wild weekend getaway, enjoy your weekends!

Your barn looks amazing, your faciltiy looks very clean and professional looking- I'm sure your business will do fine.
Well, yesterday I ate a lunch that was not that great, I ate a fish sandwich that was deep friend icelandic cod and I also had sweet potato fries. I made sure to exercise before bed, so when I woke up this morning I was 147.4 lbs, which considering what I ate like yesterday is not too bad of a weight gain from 146.8 lbs.
Here's what I did yesterday:
Standing Tummy Tucks  100  reps
Side Leg Lifts L/R  50  reps
Crunches  50  reps
Tummy Squeezes  50  reps
Combo Hinge Crunch  50  reps
Bicycle Crunches  50  reps
Leg Lift/Extension  50  reps

I upped my number of reps last night since it was pretty easy to get to 40 reps so I added another set of 10 to make it harder.

Good morning everyone!

Wow Carol your place looks great. I just love horses and sure wish I could own one!

Good luck with everything. I am sure once you are settled and things are going along well you will look back and smile on the trial and tribulations you are having now and have had.

I have to say that I didn't get up and work out this morning like I said I would. I have been soooo bad about this and need to get back into the swing. If I'm not careful I will be on both high blood pressure and diabetic meds very soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my one day a month that I ate very badly, very badly!!!!

I have not gained any this week so that is good.

My goals for next week will be, work out every day and do my tape at least 2 of those days. Have a salad every day for lunch at work.

I will take a picture of myself for the before, and take one every week after. This should do something if I actually see a pic (I forget I have the turkey stuff under my chin until I see pics!!! LOL) and notice that I have NOT changed at all in a few weeks.

m0use - you're so good at doing your exercises! I need to start posting what I'm doing to make myself more accountable.

Thanks for the well wishes with the barn . . . it's very nerve wracking given how big of a project this is and how the pressure is really on now to start filling the barn. I was very surprised that St. Louis is one of the biggest horse places in the country. We have more horses per capita than the entire state of Wyoming, according to one of the horse magazines. It's surprising because while that includes the city and the county, I just don't think of St. Louis as a horse place and if you're not "into" horses you wouldn't know there were so many here.

We have a lot riding on this business . . . a gigantic business loan, in addition to all we have at stake personally. So I'm really in nervous mode. And I tend to be an emotional eater (and a very PMS kind of person so I'm always emotional!) so I have to really make sure I don't just totally lose it with all we have going on.

Good morning everyone.
I did workout this morning but not at the intensity that I should be, or have been doing. I am starting to slip and need to whip myself back into it!

Had a very good weekend eating wise so pleased with that.

Have a great day everyone.

Keep at it Karate, you need to keep your health up or you will be on meds for your diabetes and I know you don't want that. (How's that for getting you going again. icon_wink.gif )
Cheryl- I have found that keeping a spreadsheet to log everything I do really helps me stay on my exercise. Also, posting on our website makes me want to exercise again. I hope that by me posting what I do I can motivate others and myself to keep exercising.
I was very happy this morning when i got dressed. I fit comfortably into my dress pants and the blouse I put on that used to be slightly tight on me was no longer tight.
So I was a little lazy this weekend on my eating habits, but not bad enough where I couldn't loose most of what I gained by this morning. I think my weight was water weight because I was eating high sodium food.
Saturday's Exercise Log:
Standing Tummy Tucks  100  reps
Club Dancing  2  hrs

Sunday's Exercise Log:
Standing Tummy Tucks  100  reps
Side Leg Lifts L/R  50  reps

Well, I got to Bally's last night and forgot that the tae kwon do classes were canceled because of a tournament. icon_cry.gif
Went to Olive Garden and ate only their salad and 2 breadsticks and 2 bite size portions of alfredo and lasgna off of my husband's plate. After we got home and my son finished his homework, my son and I went for a walk/jog with the in-laws dog. We went around our the main roads in our subdivision which is about a quarter mile. We speed walked, then jogged, then speed walked again.
Here is my exercise log entry for yesterday:
Standing Tummy Tucks  100  reps
Speed Walk/Jogging  12  min
Forward Lunges L/R  20  reps
Crunches  100  reps

I got up and worked out on the tread mill this morning. I put the incline up a bit farther and walked on that for 20 of the 30 minutes.

Ate a small amount of dinner last night since it had pasta and that is not the best for me to eat. I was happy with my control, I sooooo wanted more!

Welcome back! I can't wait to hear about the weekend. I'm so desperate for a getaway weekend right now but there's no time so I have to live vicariously through others!

I went to the gym this morning - did a 45 minute Lift class (working with dumbbells and light barbells) and then did 15 minutes of cardio on an elliptical. My gym has a Kids Club so I can drop the kids off and get work outs in and today was the FIRST day in a long time that I didn't get called out to change my little guys' poopy diaper! My workouts ALWAYS get interrupted when I'm there and I was so excited to do one all the way through!

Good morning everyone

Welcome back Tina, please do tell about your weekend.

Carol great job on the work out. Did you push yourself like you did in the booty camp?

I got up and worked out again, put the treadmill up on the incline and kept it there. I feel really good today. Yesterday after work I cleaned the bathroom and picked weeds in the front yard, that counts as working out right?!?!? I hope so because my legs feel like I did a 1000 squats!LOL

That's awesome! I can't tell you how many times I do inclines, etc . . . on the treadmill or elliptical only to quickly lower it part way through my workout. I rarely can keep it up the whole time.

I registered on that Spark People website a while back and I get informative emails, etc . . . daily. The one I got today seems to be very good - I'll try posting a link but I don't know if you have to register to view it. It's free to join and it's a great resource for getting into shape.

The link has four different 30 minute total body workouts that you can do with very little equipment (light weights, one of those big inflatable workout balls). Here's the link - let me know if you can't view it:

Last night I didn't get to Bally's like I wanted to, husband was having some "issues" so I stayed home instead. But I made him jog around the subdivision with me to make up for it. icon_twisted.gif
So here is my exercise log entry for yesterday:
Standing Tummy Tucks  100  reps

Rotating Single Leg Sqaut- L  10  reps
Rotating Single Leg Sqaut- R  10  reps
Side Double Leg Lift- L  10  reps
Side Double Leg Lift- R  10  reps
Crunches  50  reps

We ate out for dinner last night at a local restaurant that we hadn't been to before. I should have just gotten a salad, but instead I got Orange Roughy that had been cooked in butter. Good new though, I didn't finish it and I didn't even touch my baked potato. I took the rest of the fish and my potato home for leftovers.

Worked out this morning - did an hour long class at the gym that incorporates light weights and cardio. We alternate cardio / step moves with repetitions of exercises with hand weights or light barbells. I really like the format and the class.

Went to Billy Joel last night . . . wow! That was an awesome concert! We had great seats, too. He's on a revolving platform with his piano so he turns around to be sure to face all directions at some point during the concert. He's still as awesome as he's ever been! I love a guy that can play the piano. While I'm not attracted to Billy Joel, there's just something so sexy about being that accomplished on the piano. His music is awesome to work out to, also!

Have you been feeling better? I notice that you have not mentioned not feeling well lately.

Carol good job on the work outs too! I like some of Billy Joels stuff, I am more of a country girl!

I got up and worked out, not as intense as I had been. We went to Jack In The Box for dinner and I CAN NOT eat that stuff anylonger! I woke up with an icky feeling in my stomach this morning, so didn't want to push it.

Tina, where are you???? I know you are back from New Orleans, how are things going. How have your head aches been?

Good morning everyone.

Didn't get up and work out, had quite a work out yesterday.

DBFs sister went into labor and I baby sat their 1 1/2 year old for most of the day. Good grief I am toooo old to run after kids all day. Then when her Nina came to pick her up I helped DBF finish painting her room. It was lucky that we were there yesterday morning, his sister went into labor and her husband was at the office. I drove her to the hospital and he met us there. Anyway I am so sore from the tip of my head to the tips of my toes, from running around and picking her up all day, did I mention she weighs 30 or so pounds.... Then bending and sitting on the floor to help finish painting. Got to bed around 1 AM, got the call she gave birth just about the same time, got all the details around 1:30.

So off to do some errands, then to the hospital to see the new nephew!

You all have a great day
Michelle

HEY LADIES!!!!! Sorry I've been AWOL! We have been soooo busy since our mini-vacation. I hope things are gonna slow down because I'm tired of eating on the run! I tend to eat high calorie foods when I'm on the run. DH quit his job at the FD (he loved it but it was wearing him out) so he's mine in the morning now!! He worked the FD from 7-noon & then went to his full time job at the Air Force base from 1:30 to 10:30pm. We never got to see each other. SOOOO now that he's MINE we are starting back to the gym tomorrow!!!! I'm soooo excited!! My poor old body will be so sore I'm sure! But I love working out & my body will thank me by next week! icon_smile.gif Hope everyone else is doing good!!

Oh.... I almost forgot... go check out my New Orleans slide show.... Michelle you already saw it

Good morning All

Tina
Great news on getting your hubby back. You will enjoy working out together. I will be in NOLA in October for a show. I enjoy walking Burbon street before it all gets crazy. We usually stay at the Hilton by the river and the convention center.

I got up and worked out, I need to make sure I keep it up. I feel sooo much better when I do. I just get sooooo lazy sometimes.

suppose I better run get some work done!

Tina you will appreciate having him as your work-out buddy, and it will help keep you guys close.
Well, last night was my son's first tae kwon do class, he really enjoyed it. What was really nice was while he was in class I could work out right next to him because our Bally's had some of the machine's that I use right next to the TMA area. It was nice because I could hear what they were saying, and I must say I was very pleased with what they were teaching the kids.
I signed my son up in the 2 year membership w/ unlimited classes, and since I am a Bally's member already it will only cost me $39/mth.
Here is my exercise log entry for yesterday:
Elliptical Machine  20  min
Stationary Bike  10  min
Crunches  50  reps

Tina,

That's awesome! I'm thrilled that you get to see your hubby more and that you two are so encouraging of each other. How was your work out?

I did another class this morning - another of those step type classes that uses barbells and hand weights. I really like it a lot. I used to always go and do pilates and yoga which I still love to do but now that I've tried these classes, I feel like I'm getting a super workout in. I figure I can do these classes on Tues. and Thurs. and then do cardio on M,W,F and then add pilates / yoga wherever it might fit. I really like Thursday's class because it's an hour of the cardio and weights, and then there's a half hour "dancer's workout" class following it that does dance stretches, kicks, plies, etc . . . so it's a great combo.

And, I have to say, that there's nothing that motivates me to workout like a hubby who works and travels a TON and two toddlers that are with me 24/7. I'm finding that dropping them off in the kids club is awesome because they love to play there and I get up to two hours (like I could work out that long!) of peace and sanity!!!

Sounds like ya'll are getting after it! Good for you! I didn't get to work out today like planned icon_sad.gif The windshield wiper motor on my bus burnt up so I had to take the bus to the shop. We're supposed to start getting storms tonight through Thurs. so I had to get the darn thing fixed. Plus I tripped over a stick in the driveway & it cut my foot! Nothing major but my foot hurts! Hopefully tomorrow we'll make it to the gym! icon_smile.gif
