m0use - you're so good! I've been out of town all week in Atlanta visiting family (checking out Nicholas Lodge's Gallery shop tomorrow! YEAH!). We're actually also moving this week but my hubby is facilitating the move without me (the boys are with me so it's kind of helpful to have us gone but it's very frustrating at the same time because there's so much I need to be doing at home!) I planned this trip back when we were supposed to move in April. It will be interesting for the boys to come home to a new house.
I haven't been good about working out since I've been here but I'm so anxious to get back home and into my routine again!

We have been so busy since April that I haven't been to the gym even once. Now my DH has been jogging every morning... I can't get motivated! I've been stuck in my going back to bed after I do my bus route mode. I'm trying to break myself of that. I stayed up yesterday & today Yeah! I say I'm going to start working out once school is out & I have more time to concentrate on me. So ya'll bare with me. I will get back into taking care of me soon. I have been tanning. That's a start. I think I stayed in the tanning bed too long today, my legs are stinging

Well last night I was up and down on the stairs almost all evening cleaning, organizing and doing laundry in our downstairs living room/laundry room. I then did 50 combo hinge crunches before bed.

It was the longest two weeks ever...I had no way of working out and the food in the convention centers is awful (not only taste, but in quality) I forgot how hard it is to eat well when on the road. I havent been out since November. Both hotels had a workout area, but both charges 10 bucks a day....cant afford that. I got up and worked out this morning, boy did it feel great! I am back to my normal eating habits also. It is so hard to eat a little bit of healthy every two hours when you are standing in front of people explaining our products. When ever I tried to take a bite of at least a granola bar, someone would come up and I would have to put it down. Anyone have any ideas, also how to eat a healthy lunch in those places when all they have is burgers, dogs and pizza. I have no way of bringing anything either, no fridge..... My numbers have also been all over the place for the past two weeks. I can see that eating well affects the blood sugar. I have not noticed this too much since I started to test because I was alwasy watching what I ate, these past two weeks since I have not had much choice on what I ate, I saw the difference. I have one month to figure out something before my next trip.

Tina, I had to laugh when you talked about your tummy not seeing the sun for years, as mine has not seen it either. Make sure you get back to your excercise routine, dont slack too long. It is so easy to slip and then WAY HARD to get back to it!!!!!!!! Take it from me, I have done that so many times in my life......
m0use, I am so happy for you your blood work is normal, that is such great news. Keep us informed on the new diet and how it works for you. That dancing is such a great work out, I love when I get a chance to dance! Hope you are feeling better now from those shots, I learned long ago not to do those!!!

I went to his shop today. It wasn't as big or extensive as I expected but if you're in the area, it's definitely worth the trip. He had a lot of cutters, veiners, etc . . . in addition to the regular stuff (gel colors, tips, chocolate molds, etc . . . ). It's in Norcross which is very close to Atlanta. Check out www.nicholaslodge.com and you can get more info. It's off of the I-85 on Jimmy Carter Blvd. It's only open Tues - Sat. from 10-4, I think.

OK so I was so scared to get on the scale after the last two weeks being on the road. My clothes feel tighter and I was not looking forward to seeing what that number was. Well it was 209.4, not even a full pound heavier!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so happy, thought I had gained the full 8 pounds that I had lost. I am very happy and looking forward to getting back into the swing while I am at home for this month, before my next trip to Atlantic City.

Got up and worked out, just did the treadmill, not sure why it is so hard for me to put in the DVD and do it. It is still just a 30 minute workout, no longer than the 30 minutes that I do on thd treadmill. I think I have become addicted to the Nick@nite sitcoms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I soooo did not eat well this weekend. My morning number today was 142, hasn't been that high in months. Better keep better control on my self!

Well my summer vacation has started!! Yeah!! WE did so much over the weekend that I didn't get my butt to the gym today
Ok... I'm gonna try tomorrow! All day Sat we worked in the yard trimming trees & pulling weeds (we have an acre & about 20 trees so it's big job) so I guess that is a workout right? ![]()
Last night we bbq at our friends. I only ate a tiny bit because I was saving up for some icecream! We had an icecream social afterwards! LOL~

Today is back to reality & no more icecream for me for awhile! I want to get down to 145 before July 25th (the day I leave for the ICES convention). I haven't weighed in about 2 wks soooo I don't know if I've gained.. I hope not! My clothes are still fitting loose so hopefully that means I've stayed the same. I haven't been eating crazy I just haven't been working out again.
I'm planning on swimming alot this summer. I even bought my 1st swimsuit in 10 yrs!!!! I actually feel good in it!!
Now that's something that doesn't happen very often.
It was the 1st one I tried on too. Now if this tanning bed sunburn would go away I could actually go swimming! I can't believe I let myself burn this bad! I'm starting to peel now but I still have a lot of very sore, soft spots where I burnt really bad. I'll never stay in a tanning bed for more then 10 min again. 20 min is tooo long! What was I thinking??? ![]()

I know it is because of what I ate yesterday, we had pizza for dinner, a scoop of ice cream with chocolate toping and a bit of choco cake with choco icing, all before bed......... I know what I did!

Hello all, has been a really long time since I have checked this thread. I have probably been avoiding it to tell you the truth. I have not been doing well at all! Have not had any self control or motivation. Nothing seems to help get me off this scary ride the scale is taking me on. Been on WW for over a year and lost 25 lbs. but I've put 5 lbs back on. That is terrifying but not enough to stop wanting to shove a spoon full of butter cream into my face!!! Oh and lets not forget the cake scraps!!!! Ha ha, wish it was funny. Truth is I've been depressed and discouraged for a long time and not sure why. The main thing in my life that is not as I'd like it is my weight. And that is something that I have full control over, or at least I would like to. Does anyone have any advice? I'm getting desperate and scared that all the weight will come back and that would be horrible. Does anyone else get stuck in this kind of "mood"?

Me too? I have avoided for ages attempting to join in this thread--not because of all you wonderful people--but I was just not ready to commit myself. At this point, I don't believe I'm still 100% committed, but maybe if I have CC buddies in addition to my friends here at home "yelling" at me, maybe I can do this!
I joined WW today for the umpteenth time (we have an At-Work group here so it works great with my schedule) and my how much has changed since I dropped out (again for the umpteeth time) last summer.

So instead of feeling depressed go out & walk a little longer then yesterday, go swimming. Talk to us! We'll listen & know exactly how you feel~
Just because we have lost weight does not make those old eating habits go away. We have been eating wrong for a lifetime. It's going to take awhile to train ourselves how to think & act around food. I think if your only eating 1 T of BCI verses the whole bowl that you have accomplished something!! So take a look at the simple things that you have done! You have lost 25 & gained 5 so what! Look at the real pic.. you have lost 20 lbs!!! Turn that into a positive thing. You've come this far you can continue! I promise!!

I had an exciting day!! I just have to share this with ya'll!! I was in the middle of carving a cake into a army tank when we got a fire call!! We got paged out to a trailer fire. OH my gosh!!!! I drove an engine to the scene!!! YEPPEE!!!!! I even bunkered out in my gear & helped fight the fire!! This was the 1st time I've ever bunkered out!! Oh wow what a rush!! I hit 75 MPH in the engine!!! I loved every minute of it!!! ![]()

This is the first time I was able to make it all the way to a fire in any firetruck without one of the firefighters saying they didn't need the truck I was bringing!! So I was so excited!!!!! I must have lost 5 lbs in the bunker gear!! I was sweating like a pig when I took the gear off! My goodness what a day! I came home stinky & dirty & gosh I felt like a FIREWOMAN!!

so about me, i guess. i have always been small, since i was a kid (we're talkin' skinny minnie). i never had to worry about what i ate and had a wicked metabolism, then i got pregnant with my twin boys and gained 65 pounds! ![]()
i didn't lose much after i had my boys, then realized i don't like the way my body looked (besides the millions of stretchmarks, which i know i can't help). so when someone offered me a free weight watchers kit, i decided it was time to do something about my weight.
weight watchers has been working well for me so far. I do it all myself, though, i can't afford to go to meetings. i started off at 138 in april and am now down 14 pounds to 124, and would like to lose at least another 9 (and get down to 115).
i am 5'2" and have a tiny frame, so 110-115 is the ideal weight for me.
i am also hoping to teach my boys good eating habits so they will be set later in life.

Hi Jessica! I'm doing Weight Watchers to! I started last February. Not doing it as strictly as I should be anymore though. I do it myself to. I started out going to the meetings but since I had to take my three year old DD with me I decided to forgo the meetings and do it on my own. I lost about 25 lbs. but have about 20 more to go. Especially since I have been stuck in a rut and been slowly gaining. YIKES. I am 5 ft. 6 in. so am supposed to be about 145 lbs. but would be satisfied and happy with 150!!! I'm a 31 year old stay at home Mom of two. But enough about me! Congrats on your weight loss!! You are doing amazing!! That is allot of weight to lose in such a short time! You must be one determined Woman!!! You go girl!! Oh and welcome to this thread!! I can't imagine anyone "kicking you off" when you wanted to join them. What the heck is wrong with people? You won't find that here. Everyone is great and so helpful!

my biggest fear is being able to keep it off. am i supposed to be recording every meal and snack for the rest of my life? i imagine that after a while, i will be more familiar with portions and such, but what if i lose it then just gain it back again? ![]()
Jessica, I have found that I have to write things down every day. In the mornings I sit down and write down what I call my "meal plan". Then when I have eaten something on the list I just cross it off. That way I have a plan for the day and I know how many points I have left. I am a real list maker though. I have to have a list for everything! HA! It helps me to have a plan. I think I will not have to write every thing down for the rest of my life though. But who knows. For now I have to, I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it. It is really scary to think that it can all be gained back!! That is my biggest fear to!!! My biggest nightmare actually!!! So we just have to stick to it. I'm talking to myself here to because I need a swift kick in my own rear end!! Take it one day at a time and make small short term goals. Don't look too far into the future or you might lose sight of what you need to do today. If that makes sense. Good luck!! How did you do today? Did you stay with in your points? I stayed with in 20 points today. I would normally get 22 but after I stepped on the scale this morning I decided I didn't deserve those two points! I am so hungry right now so am going to bed! i guess it would help to explain the plan i am on. i get 20 points per day and 35 'flex' points to use throughout the week (wednesday to tuesday) to use any way i want. i used my 20 points and then 2 flex points today. i am really hungry right now too. i like to go to bed at 10, so i only have 10 mintues left to be hungry.
oh, i also found out yesterday that i have an ulcer (i had one years ago because of taking too much advil) and had to get blood work to see if i am anemic, and then have to go to a specialist to see if i need a scope. (i don't even know what that is!
) so watching what i eat is especially critical now.
So if I join, I have to post my REAL weight?!? Oy! Even the DMV doesn't know the real answer to that question. LOL!
Ok, ok... Here's the deal. I was in a car accident a couple of years ago, and was stuck on the couch for 3 months because my back hurt so bad. I never had to throw on a pair of jeans, and was always in my PJ's or sweats. Elastic waistbands are EVIL! Before I knew it, I had gained 17 lb. (in 3 months!) Then, I went to culinary school, (where elastic waisted pants were part of the uniform) and gained another 17.
Last April (10th), I had a starting weight of 217. At 5'6, 160-165 looks good on me (I have big boobs and a nice figure at that weight), at 150, I look anorexic. As of last October, I was down to 172 - and quite pleased with myself. But then came the holidays! And the cookies. And the candy. And the egg nog.
Right now, I'm up to 187, and want to get down to 165 before my birthday (July 19). I can do it! Especially with the support and encouragement of those in similar circumstances.
I've purchased another 9 day Isagenix plan, and intend to start that today. After that, it's back to coffee in the morning, a Lean Cuising for lunch, and a small meal at dinner time. If I can't make my goal by mid-July, I'm going to punch myself in the head. ![]()

Sandra: so glad to hear from you. Your painting is amazing. The only painting that I did was the ceramic pieces with the paints and directions. I painted my whole christmas town. Thanks for well wishes for the surgery, its only a few short hours away now and I cant wait to have the normal use of my hand back in a few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! I can finally start to weight lift and tone some.
Tina, thanks to you also for the well wishes. I will post tomorrow and let you all know how it went. WOW on the fire call. I have the upmost respect for fire fighters (police also). You run into a burning building to save people, just amazing. How fun to drive the truck too. We sell the warning lights for police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and such!
I look into the fire trucks when I am at the fire conventions, I will have to picture you in one of them the next time!
Anna, I have been on this thread since the beginning and have lost only 8 pounds. Yes I am embarrased, should have met my goal by now. But things happen and I am still trying and still here. Dont feel that just because you are not doing well that you cant our shouldnt post here. I get my best boosts here from everyone. I truely believe if it wasnt for this thread instead of loosing the 8 pounds this year I would have gained. At least I am maintaing! Like Tina said twist it around and say you have lost 20 pounds and be proud, dont make it all bad because you gaine 5 back. Get back to it and if you slip, then just pick your self back up and keep going! I also get very scared thinking that I will never loose what I want, and I have to since I am borderline diabetic. Thats normal, push thru it.
Jes welcome and of course you can join, I also cant see how anyone would kick someone out if they want to improve their lives! Great job on the loss, keep it up! The trick to keeping it off is to do it the right way, which is to say make a lifestyle change. I have lost 50 - 60 pounds 3 times in my life (the wrong way) and gained it all and then some back each time. I did the drastic diet thing, the metabolife thing (which was great, worked fast, but then.......) and did the dont eat anything thing. None of these was a lifestyle change, but a quick fix to the problem. It is harder to make that change for the rest of your life, so just remember you are changing your life style for ever, not just for now!!!!!
Missy, welcome and I challange you to commit yourself 100%, and stay on WW. Make small easily attainable goals, to stay committed. If you just pick the one large, loose 50 pounds, goal then you will slip here and there then just give up. Start small, loose 5 pounds in the next month, then 5 the next, easier goasl, easier met, better feelings!

I was on WW on line but stopped. I think I will join again, I liked watching my points, it helped to see how much I was eating and where I was going wrong. Plus when I was on it my testing numbers were stable (diabetic testing for those of you who are new).
