Wht is Isagenix? I have never heard of it. Good saying: 2 steps forward, one step back is still progress!!! I like that

Isagenix is a very expensive weight loss program. *sigh* I signed up to be a distributor just so I can get it at cost (if anyone else wants some at cost, let me know... it works, but it costs a fortune and tastes like crap. LOL!)

You can get info about it here: http://www.isagenix.com/us/en/home.dhtml

(No, I'm not trying to make a sale! I wouldn't make a dime - but I'd be happy to help someone who was interested. LOL!) The first time I used it, I lost 11 lb. in the 9 days. I like to use it to jump start my dieting efforts - it's really motivating to drop 5 lbs. in just a few days. But it's too expensive to use often. I use the 9 day plan, the 30 day plan is just too outrageously priced for me.

Thanks ladies for the welcome!

I first started WW in January of 2002 and weighed 1 pound pound less than I do as of yesterday's initial weigh-in for the start of the seesion. In August of 2002, I loss 36.5 pounds and reached my goal of 135 and reached Lifetime member status. thumbs_up.gifAS SOON AS I achieved that goal, I found out I was pregnant with my daughter and put every single pound back on plus some. I joinded back again in the summer of 2003 and was on and off again for the next few years. In the summer of 2004 things were actually going well and I was only 8 pounds away from making goal and blew it all by stopping at Abott's Frozen Custard at least 3 days a week (here in Rochester, Abott's is a big summertime deal! icon_wink.gif ) and I would get 32 oz. milkshakes. Funny, I only gained 15 pounds over the summer.... icon_redface.gificon_lol.gif It should have been way more. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Anyway, over 2005 and 2006 I was on and off program again. I had joined in November of 2005 and officially dropped out again at the end of the summer last year--just before I went to Disney. I rarely went to meetings--mostly because there are a few people that just cannot stand and they always take over meetings--it was for my own good that I did not good because I may have gotten myself fired if I said out loud some of the things I was thinking! icon_wink.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif And then of course never wanted to go because I cheated like crazy and rarely lost anything. I don't think in that whole time frame I lost more than 5 pounds. icon_eek.gif

So, I go in yesterday for the first weigh-in. The leader is still the same woman that has been leader for almost two years. I figured she would have forgettn me since I was rarely there (should have known better--I usually leave an impression--not always good! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif ). So it is my turn to jump on the scale and she sees me, doesn't even say hi, but says, "MISSY! IF I HAVE TO, I WILL SIT ON YOU EACH WEEK TO MAKE YOU STAY FOR THE MEETINGS!!!" Of course she is saying it with a smile but I knew, I'm in trouble now!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

So, I have about 40 pounds to lose--I put 20 on since we got back from Disney last August. That is mostly due to the fact that I have become a wino! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Who knew that wine was sooooooooo fattening if you drink it all the time! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif So I have already dropped that habit; thank goodness--I'll be saving money now too! icon_wink.gif I now have to study the core plan a bit more to see if it is something that I want to do. I like that for me, on Core, I would actually have a wider variety of things to eat than I would doing flex--there are many points that I would not want to sacrafice just to get something in (e.g.; I love bananas, but not at 2 points for one; I love chocolate milk--but not for the points). So I always found my diet very resticted while counting points--even when I first started back in 2002. We will see, I have to look more at it.

The other problem is that I just became a Tastefully Simple Consultant. LOVE their food. The spices are not a big deal, it is the recipes I get off of their site that are the problem. I'm going to have to start playing around with my and my husband's favorite recipes and see if I can make them more WW friendly--because there I just some that we absolutely love, but they are just so fattening.

Well, now that I have just wrote my novel... icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif I'm doing good so far today. Work for me is usually not a problem--it is at home....

Good Afternoon my Friends,
After what happened last night on CC I have decided not to make any more posts on CC. Even in this thread that has been so important to me. Bad attitudes of some members have taken the joy of CC totally away from me. I loved this place, I've met a lot of amazing & wonderful people. That saying about "one bad apple will spoil the whole bunch" is true. CC is spoiled with alot of mean people. I am not proud of arguing "live" on CC last night. I wish it didn't happen. I was only defending myself & my reputation. I just wanted ya'll to know that I will still except PM's & emails but I'm not making any posts. Maybe after things have simmered down, I don't know. I'm tired of fighting & tired of some folks in this cake decorating world being so cut throat & hateful. I am not that kind of person & I won't be brought down to that again. Thanks for all the weight loss support ya'll have given me. I will continue to read the posts but I won't post. I will PM. Love you guys!!! ~TC~

Don't let it get to you too much. When you let someone else's actions dictate yours - they win. Maybe after a few days (or hours even!) you'll find the joy in it again. I really think the mods need to post some basic "rules" and maybe then a lot of these arguments won't even start (we can just refer the instigator to the "rules").

TC I will miss your posts!

It is amazing how people you don't even know can effect you so much. Sad to see that people choose to have a negative effect. I just want to let you know how you have effected me in a positive way with your encouragement and by sharing your inspirational journey over the last year and a bit!

I guess what I am saying is thanks and take care of yourself and don't let whatever happened lastnight play on your mind for too long. I did that once and almost left CC but instead I confronted the person who was writing nasty things about me and sorted it out via PM's. I was upset for a long time and still do not write much but I sure do read alot!!!!

I am on Flickr as Sandra_socake where I have a couple of my painting photos (I only just started painting so there are only two so far but I am sure there will be more to come!

Take care TC!

What a great thread!!!!
I'm new here because of TC! She inspires us all in one way or the other! thumbs_up.gif

I haven't read through the entire thread, but I too am trying desperately to lose 10-15 pounds - FAST! Like 5 before next Saturday icon_lol.gif
In 2003, I quit work and for the first time was able to eat when I wanted, what I wanted and it caught me in the butt - literally! icon_cry.gificon_lol.gif
Well I went from 154 in Dec '03 to 116-118 in about 5 months. But now since about this time last year, I've gained back a few (10-15) pounds and it's got to go!
What are your secrets? No cakes?! icon_smile.gif

oh, yay!!! i am so glad you are not leaving! good girl!!

and congrats on the bus route! how exciting!!! what kind of route do you have? little ones? teens?

i was gonna pm you today to ask you to please stay! you are an inspiration to so many of us, it would have been a tremendous loss to have you go.

i was so bad today. i went to a bar with a friend of mine to see my dh's band play and i had taco bell and three drinks. that's gonna cost me a ton in points! BUT, i did do a 30 minute workout (10 minutes of kickboxing and a 20 minute walking workout) and sweated my behind off!

i don't even want to think about how much those bad bad things cost me in points.

i hope to get myself back on track tomorrow. lots of working out for jes!

my one big question is, how do you girls keep from snacking when you are making cakes, cookies, chocolates, etc? i tried the brushing my teeth thing and i still end up with my finger in the frosting. i can't chew gum because i have a jaw problem. how do you do it?

Don't brush your teeth... whiten them. If you buy one of those systems where you put two trays in your mouth (top & bottom) - you can't eat for 30 minutes (while it's in your mouth, that is). icon_smile.gif

Oh Tina, that is Awesome news!!!! thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif I bet you are completely excited!

As for the challenge--ABSOLUTELY!! So, um, yeah, can we start Monday? I have a party to go to tonight. Normally that would not be so bad, but the name of the place that we are going to is "The Chocolate Bar." Yes, it is chocolate fondue all night long!!! icon_eek.gificon_eek.gif And toss in some wine and I'm completely sucker-punched!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif This is what we decided to so for my friends baby shower--for her second child. Why be normal--let's all just go out and pig out with chocolate!!! YUM!!! So, I'm all for Monday... icon_wink.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Thank you! This route is K-5! I only like driving for K-5 or HS kids. Middle Schoolers are the worst! We call them hormones in tennis shoes! thumbsdown.gif One is bad enough but when you get 60 on a bus oh boy do you have trouble! icon_wink.gif

Having a good time & a night on the town isn't a bad in my book. You should enjoy yourself from time to time. Just because we are trying to lose weight doesn't mean we can't have a good time every now & then~
thumbs_up.gif Don't beat yourself up! Don't let one night get your off track. Just pick up the next day~

I have figured out that tasting the BCI, batter, cakes, cookies, chocolate etc, etc, etc... is just a bad habit icon_eek.gif. When I start baking & decorating I have to keep telling myself DO NOT PUT ANY IN MY MOUTH!!! DO NOT PUT ANY IN MY MOUTH!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif It works!!! Plus I always hear Susanmm4 saying DON'T DO IT TINA!! I CAN SEE YOooooooU!! LOL!! icon_lol.gif You can stop this bad habit just find what works for you.

Wow that would be really hard to have DH gone that much! I feel for ya! Has to be difficult for him to. My DH is usually gone for a week then comes back over the weekend and then occasionally leaves again for another few days or another week. He works for a Farm equipment company. He's in marketing so works allot with the customers and goes to every farm show in the country. I was just teasing him tonight that he is going to forget what I look like. His reply was "Well, I have a cell phone so I won't forget what you sound like!". Ha, not funny! icon_cry.gif Right now he is gone again but should be home any minute! I so miss him when he is gone. He is amazing, love that man! Amazing in so many ways.

Brandisbaked, not quite sure I know what you meant? I'm no prude but didn't get it. icon_redface.gif Care to elaborate? Or is this getting to risque? SP Not sure what we can get away with on here. So if I am getting out of line, let me know! icon_wink.gif
