Shabby Chic Tiara
This is my other cake entry in the 2008 Arizona Sugar Art show. I won 3rd place with this one!! Woohoo! It was a real honor to place because there were about 20 other fantastic cakes in my division. The tiara is made of RI, and the rest of the cake is fondant and silver dragees. TFL!

Sweet Baby
This was one of my entries in the 2008 Arizona Sugar Art Show! It was so much fun! The body is 2 6" dummies and the top is a 6" round dummy. The arms are Rice Krispy treats and it is all covered in fondant. I even won 2nd place in the intermediate division! This was my first contest so it was really exciting! Thanks for looking!

Soccer Ball B-Day
I got inspiration for this from several cakes here on CC. It was my first time using the whole ball set (I have used the top half before). I did notice that it was a bad idea to use a fresh fruit filling (choc. covered strawberries) because it caused a buldge that was really annoying. Other than that this was a fun easy one! TFL!

Mike's 50Th
This was for my dad's best friend who just turned 50! The 3 tiers are 12, 9, and 6". Covered in MMF w/ gumpaste accents. The top is supposed to be a green bay packers guy (b-day boy is a huge fan) and a big screen TV (He sells electronics). I used my airbrush to get that black color- hooray for airbrush machines!!! TFL!

3D Turkey Cookies
Gobble Gobble! Here is my version of a 3d cookie. As far as I know this is an original design. I have been thinking about them for a few weeks and decide to give them a try today. They are a 1 1/2'' base cookie, and then 1 1/2", 1", and 1/2" cookies that I cut off a little of the bottom before baking so that when stacked they would be flat on the bottom. Decorated with open leaf tip and glued (w/ RI) each layer together. I let it dry a few minutes and then stood them on the base cookie. TFL!

Pink Cornelli Rose
This is my 2nd wedding cake! It was so much fun to make and best of all I didn't run into any problems. It is mmf (half reg mm's and half strawberry to get that color) w/ royal icing cornelli and I got to use my new bead maker for the pearl border. I am SO relieved! I was a little bummed that the bride decided at the last minute to have that cake topper because I think it would have been even more beautiful wit a bouquet of roses, but then I have to remind myself that it is her cake not mine. =)
