This was for a guy's bday. He is a big Weezer fan and has a hat that he wears all the time, hence the hat. His wife just wanted it on a plain whie cake for the bottom. Thanks for looking.
Victoria's Secret Gift Cake
My sister-in-law's co-worker is getting married soon and this was for the bridal shower. It is supposed to look like a victoria's secret box with a bra and panties. Originally the top of the box was going to sit off to the side a little, but it was too fragile and was starting to crack, so this is how it came out. I sprayed super pearl luster dust on the whole thing to make it sparkle. Thanks for looking! (10" square pan, choc cake w/ chocolate chip cheesecake filling and chocolate buttercream dream)
This was inspired by adven68's hey diddle diddle cake. Mine is not nearl as good, but when a friend said she wanted a nursery rhyme theme, I found these characters and thought they were so adorable I had to try it!
This was supposed to look like a guy's car... I hated this cake so much I put it away and wouldn't look at it until the girl picked it up! The only partI liked was tyhe banner, but I know I am my worst critic.
This is the topper for my FIL's cake. Since he and my SIL have the same b-day, we had one party, but they each wanted their own cake... so she got the coach purse and he got this. They are just a few of the things that he is interested in-poker chips, livestrong bracelet, and raquet ball. He is not a fan of fondant, so his was just a simple chocolate cake.
This was for my sister-in-law's b-day. She has a purse similar to this. I only has 2 hours to decorate this, so I didn't get to as much detail as I would have liked. She still liked it though.
Cowgirl Baby Shower
This was for my best friend's baby shower. She is having a girl and is doing the room in red cowgirl stuff. This cake was really fun and easy
This was for a girl who's boyfriend loves old pin-ups and tattoos. She sent me a few pictues for the girl, and they pretty much were all dressed like housewives, with their garters showing. I I ran out of time for the tattoos on the side of the cake, so they are just laminated pictures. I think she liked it anyways.
Shabby Chic Tea Cup
This is my most favorite cake I have done yet!!! It was for my mother's b-day. She is really is really into all things "shabby chic" and loves collecting tea cups! So this is what I came up with for her. The tea cup is made from fondant that I bascially formed over a cup and a saucer, let dry, then added the handle and filled with flowers. This was also my first try making the "duff" roses, and they are my new favorite roses!!! They are sooooo easy and cute! Hope you like it!
#2 Nascar Cake
This was fun to make. They wanted a coconut cake with coconut frosting, so I sort of had to make up a recipe for that. I think it turned out good though. All the decorations are fondant, except the Miller Lite symbol- what can I say, I got a little lazy and just laminated a picture and stuck it on some fondant. Oh well =)
This is the autoBot symbol from transformers. This cookie took FOREVER!!!! I had to make a template, lay it on the frosted cookie, wipe cocoa over the template, then pipe that design on it. I hope I don't have to do these again I used Toba's Glace for the whole thing.
This is a different version of the other dragon castle cake I made. It was fun to make! The figures are fondant.
The cake is a little boring, but I was so busy this week this was all I had time for. Thanks for looking!
Happy Birthday to my dad! He had his 49th b-day this weekend and this is what I came up with for the cake! If you knew my dad you would laugh because this is literally what he does every day! We live in AZ, so he is in the pool (cigar and beef in hand, with his blue-tooth and Vikings hat on!) from about March till Novemeber! He always stands in the same spot too, so I tried to recreate the waterfall where he hangs out. Top was RKT, water piping gel! BIG THANKS TO AINE2- character inspired by her work!
These went with the arabian castle cake. I made 30 of these, half pink, half purple. The little girl chose to have "Annaka Loves you" written on them. They were thanks-you's for the party I think. I . It was really cool because the little girl knew exactly what she wanted on them. I love it when they take an interest, makes things all the more special to me.
Arabian Castle Cake
Here is my attempt at an arabian castle cake. I really should have taken the photo on something other than a white background, because it looks really washed out... Anyways, the tiers are ^' and 8". The turrets are made out of RKT's. All covered in MMF. I used a whote lot of dragees on this one. The mother of the little girl was really excited, so I hope it went over well at the party!
Purse And Tea Pot Cookies
These were for a ladies dessert to kick off the new year's bible study at my mom's church. This as my first time attaching a smaller cookie to a larger one. I just "glued" them on with RI. They were so much fun to make!
Ths is was for my friend's Son's birthday. The cake is 2 9x13 cakes cut in half. The decoratins are MMF. And the dragon was made with Wiltons fondant. It was a lot o fun to make this one!
Orange Wedding Cake
This is a better picture of my first wedding cake. I was huge! 18,14,10 and 6"! The layers were Mocha fudge, Lemon w/ raspberry filling, Choc. covered strawberry cake, and WASC with fresh mango filling. I used Satin Ice for this. It is so easy to use, but I think I like mmf better because the satin ice cracked in a few places! ahh! The bride was really unconventional and wanted bright orange with Orchids. Overall it went okay- I sure learned a lot though. Thanks for looking!
