Cream And Bling
This cake was for my best friend's mother who just got re-married. It was a small wedding, but she said she was going for "cream and bling". There are 180 crystals on the cake (not edible). Simple, but elegant.
Fancy Nancy Hat Box
This cake was so much fun to make! It was for a little girl who was turning 4 and having a party based on the children's books "Fancy Nancy". In the books the little girl loves everything to be "fancy" and not plain... hence all the action on the cake. Nancy also loves France, so I used toile on the hat box to tie that in a little. It was very Posh (that's a fancy word for fancy)... haha
This cake was inspired by many cakes I saw here on CC! 9", 8", and 6" cakes covered in mmf. Fun fun!
Pirate Flag Cookies
NFSC, Glace, and RI accents. ARRGH!! HAHA- I just noticed that the red bump in the picture is my 7 month prego belly! Oops, I guess I can't take straight down pics of my work anymore! =0)
Retro Herman Miller Chiar Cake
This cake was interesting! The b-day boy apparently loves Herman Miller Chairs, and the birthday girl loves shopping at dillards..,.
Malibu Rum Bucket
This was for a lady my mom works with who loves Malibu Rum and Pineapple juice. 6" cake shaved down at the bottom a little and covered in mmf. The bottle and can are fondant and the ice is sugar. TFL!
Zebra And Camera Cake
This was for a girl who is a photographer and loves Zebra print. The camer is chocolate, the rest is MMF.
Thank you so much to many CC members for inspiration for this cake. I didn't attempt the sugar bottles this time, so the beer is just fondant. Thank you so much to SweetResults for the directions on how to make the sugar "ice cubes". (Super Easy) If you have any ?'s feel free to PM me! Thanks for Looking!
I swear this is the last of the Strawberry shortcake items!!! haha- These were simple little cupcakes for my daughter's preschool. I am mostly posting them to show that you can dress up cupcakes even if you are jsut sticking pre-cought decorations on them. I used a rose tip with the thin end facing out and made little underloops. Start at the outside, then do a 2nd layer towards the middle and a little loop in the middle.
Strawberry Shortcake Cookies
These were the Thank You cookies for my daughter's 4th b-day party. (I never remember to send thank you cards, so people get a TY cookie as they leave the party.) They are NFSC, with white Glace, RI decorations. and the face was painted on w/ a 0/18" paintbrush and airbrush color. HELPFUL HINT: if you make these, start by making the pink hats on wax paper using a template and let dry. Then when you ice with glace you can peel off the RI from the wax paper and just lay it on the glace. =)
Strawberry Shortcake Chocolate Transfer
This was another cake for my daughter's b-day (yes, there were multiple). This was for the small family get together on her actual b-day. The cake is 8" covered in BC and the SSC is a chocolate transfer. I used a rose tip to make the border. I haven't tried that before and it was so easy and fun. TFL!
Strawberry Shortcake's House
This was for my daughter's 4th birthday party. This was really fun to make! I used 2 6" cakes for the strawberry part and just shaved it down a little, and 2 8" square's for the grass part. It is covered in mmf, airbrushed, and the accents are fondant too. Thanks for looking!
Polka Dot Baby Shower
Simple baby shower cake. Very fun to make! I Love using Duff the Duff style roses. Thanks for looking.
Arizona Diamondbacks Glove And Ball
This was for my husband's grandma's 78th b-day! She is a HUGE D-Backs fan. I wanted to try something other than ball cap cakes, so I took a chance on the glove. It was SUPER easy and so fun to make! There are several great glove cakes here on CC that I got inspiration from. I ran out of time on the ball, so it is a little lame, but Grandma still liked it! =0)
Peek A Pooh Shower Cake
This was inspired by the "Peek a Pooh" nursery line. I found several great cakes here on CC for idea, so thanks!!!! 9" and 6" tiers, mmf, and fondant pooh faces, and the black outlines and details were done with a food writer.. This was really fun to make. Thanks for looking!
Teacup Baby Shower
This was for a girl who really liked the tea cup cake I did for my mom. So I just put a little baby in the cup and went with their theme of "Pretty in Pink". Thanks for Looking!
These were for a Computer Nerd who was turning 21. They are NFSC w/ Glace and RI. I had a good idea and piped out the blue computers on wax paper, let those dry, then as I was putting the green glace on I just peeled the computers off and stuck 'em on. It was VERY easy. Then I wrote w/ a black food marker for the keys and 21.
Dinoco Lightning Mcqueen
This was for my son's 5th birthday party. I can't believe I didn't get a better picture! The top cake is WASC and the bottom was Chocolate. I made all the accents in fondant except the drawing of the Dinoco label- I used RI to freehand that on white fondant. Thanks for looking!
MMF covered cake with daisies. I didn't wait for my mmf to rest long enough and it was full of air bubbles!!! AHHH! Oh well. I learned my lesson.
This was a simple cake for my mom to give to her best friend. It is a 4" and 6" covered in buttercream w/ buttercream roses and a fondant banner. I was being lazy and just airbrushed the BC, so it kind of got a marbled look.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
This cake was made to resemble the Eric Carle book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". The body is made from a cut up bundt pan, and it is painted with airbrush coloring. It was really fun to paint on the mmf. Thanks for looking!
Barnyard Baby Shower
I think this is my new favorite cake I have made! It was so much fun to make! The girl I made this for basically just said the mom-2-b was doing a barnyard themed room, and could I make a cow and a horse to put on a cake. So, I sort of took some creative liberty and this is what I came up with. The only bad part was I didn't get to look at any here on CC fpr any tips and ideas because it was down! The animals are Wilton w/ tylose powder added and everything else if MMF. Thanks for looking!
This was for a boy who was having a mad science party. The mom said she wanted a neone green cakes with splats, and something science-y. So this is what I came up with. I got the idea for the top from several CC'ers science cakes. Fun stuff!
This cake was inspired by several members here on CC. I am sorry I can't find the name of the person who I got the idea for Spidey from- I will keep looking a post it when I find it! The Spidey and buildings are Wilton fondant, the web and clouds are RI, the cake is covered in MMF. TFL!
