Girl Scout Bridging 2017
This was for the celebration of girls moving from one level to the next. Bottom 14"vanilla, top 12" chocolate. Buttercream w/fondant and gum paste decorations. Bridge is rice krispy treat covered in gumpaste. This was a last minute-second bridge. The first was lovely, but I dropped it on the floor and had to make this one on the fly, so it's not as fancy. Water is piping gel. Over all I am really happy with how it turned out, in spite of the bridge.
Easter Cake Pop Roses - 1St Time!!
Yes, these are my first ever chocolate cake pops disguised as roses using home made modeling chocolate. I also made the gum paste butterflies and dusted them with various dusts. I took my time making the roses since they're my first. But now that I know the drill, next time they'll take a fraction of the time. I'd like to know what you think? (I'm a big girl, I can take it.) TFL.
Nico's Cake For Icing Smiles
This was my first Icing Smiles cake. 2 layer choc cake, Hershey's choc buttercream, Satin Ice and edible images. No plastic parts. I can't sculpt to save my life, but was able to follow video tutorials for the pups, which were fondant stiffened with Gum-Tex. No special cutters, had to use printed out images as stencils for large shield and bone. Letters were cutters, except for the B. I'd like to know what you think.
This cake was my Friday night project and was made for an annual celebration of all birthdays and represents March. Three layers if vanilla cake with Hershey's white chocolate pudding instead of vanilla pudding. Buttercream w/fondant shamrocks, Cake Lace dusted w/super white luster dust. The shamrocks were made using 5-petal flower plunger cutters by cutting the 5th petal to become the stems.

Snow Globe Cake Pops 2016
This was my first attempt at snow globe cake pops. The bases are re-molded medium sized Reeces cups dusted with gold luster dust. The cake pops are vanilla with pre made decorations and lightly sprinkled with sparkle sugar. These were for my Girl Scout troop after we went caroling at a local assisted living facility.
Christmas Cookies 2016
My no-fail sugar cookies that failed, (visit the forums). They tasted scrumptious so I decorated with only with royal icing and gave them out anyway. Not fancy-shmancy, but everyone loved them. The ones I gave to my co-workers each had their names on them (not in this pic).
Christmas Ornament Cupcakes 2016
Vanilla cupcakes and half balls held together and covered with cream cheese buttercream, covered with tinted Satin ice and white Satin Ice cutouts. The ornaments were dusted with luster dust and Wilton dusts, the cutouts were dusted with ultra white luster dust, caps painted with luster dust. The tissue paper covers the cupcake wrapper and adds to the illusion. No disco dust or glitter used.
For summer potluck community event. 2 layer vanilla/buttercream w/nilla wafer sand, gumpaste decorations. All edible but the lollypop stix and plastic flamingos. I was not able to make flamingos.

Cathy's St. Pat's Birthday Cake
My close friend's birthday is also St. Patrick's Day, and I surprised her at her work with this cake today. Vanilla hex 2 tier cake w/ white choc raspberry buttercream. Roses are 50/50 gum paste and fondant using the EASIEST ROSE CUTTER EVER from FMM. It's not as smooth as I usually get. I overbeat resulting in air bubbles. OH, and I just found out the cake was never cut because it was too pretty. She brought it home and there it sits on her kitchen counter. I should have made it out of styrofoam.
For coworker's close friend. Shell cake covered with marshmallow fondant, square cake with raspberry buttercream (made with white choc raspberry coffee creamer and Polaner's All Fruit seedless raspberry). Gum paste mermaid, fondant and marshmallow fondant turtles and starfish, crushed Girl Scout cookies. Cake was vanilla tinted purple, BD girl's fav color. I can't sculpt to save my life, so let me know what you think.
Valentine's Cupcakes For Paramount Coffee
These cupcakes were for my co-workers at a coffee company. The hearts, flowers and mini coffee cups are gum paste, lace is Sugar Dress (awesome), buttercream, french vanilla cupcakes. I would have made fuller roses instead of buds, but I just am not fast enough yet. Each was served with a mini fork and faux china plate, just to be a bit classy. Opinions are welcome.
This was for my mom. It is chocolate cake with Nutella buttercream icing (found here). As advised by the wonderful pros here, I used coffee stirrers to protect the cake from the flower wires and they worked perfectly.
