This was a bridal shower cake for a co-worker. We had a surprise shower at my office. It was made using the old 3-tier round pan set that came in a box as a kit and used 2 cake mixes and is all buttercream. The set was my first cake pan purchase after I completed my Course 1 since it came complete with pillars and plates. It is displayed on the original candle cake stand.
This cake is 6", 9", 12" with push in pillars. It is all buttercream, including roses.
This was for a bridal shower and the wedding was on Valentine's day. So I wanted to follow the theme. It was made with the Wilton 2 level heart pan and the idea was for the top to look like a ring bearer's pillow. It is iced with buttercream. I got the idea from a photo I had seen years ago that was amazing. I was quite proud of this cake.
This was a cake ordered by a co-worker. It was all buttercream with those chocolate chips that are covered with sprinkles. The pan was the Wilton 2 level heart that makes it appear as 2 sizes. They wanted a fun cake and I had a lot of fun making it.
This was a practice cake that I made for the office. It used the wilton heart with 2 levels. It was iced and decorated with buttercream and the shape was a little more difficult to smooth out than just the standard flat heart pan.
This was a cake I made for my office for V-Day as a thank you. The reason was, at Christmas everyone had pitched in and bought me that pan and a bunch of decorating "stuff" as a gift when I had completed my Wilton 2 course. It is iced and decorated with buttercream including the roses. The pic is not very clear because it was a cheap camera, sorry. I hope you like it anyway.
This was a very special mini project. It was ordered by a co-worker for her father and step mother who had split and were going to try to get back together. Their first official date was valentines day. I thougt a bridge between 2 hearts would be very symbolic. The hearts are mini hearts iced with buttercream, the bridge is pretzel, the water under the bridge is tinted piping gel. They LOVED it. By the way, they did end up back together. :-)

This was made for a co-worker. I got the design outline from a childs coloring book and enlarged it. I had a great time making this cake and is one of my personal favorites. I hope you like it.
I made this for a holiday party at my ofc. The candy canes and small red bows are piped. There are some store bought candies and there are 2 snow men lollypops that I made to go on each side. It is sitting on a 12" petal-2layers, all iced in buttercream. The top bow is the kind that you pull the strings and it draws up. It is displayed on the original candle lite cake stand. This is all buttercream, and was smoothed out using papertowel with a diamond embossed pattern. It was not a birthday. The candle was lit for effect
Everything is butter cream except for the accents around the top. They are royal icing.

This was for my best friend's daughter in Miami. it is all buttercream except for the sign, umbrella and birds. The sand is brown sugar. I actually had someone ask me "why is there a cake in a basket?" she did not believe me it was icing. lol.
This was my second practice doll cake using buttercream and fondant. the trim above the bottom is made from royal icing segments "glued" on. I think I need more practice.

This was made for the catalog dept at my company. The boss wanted to show her appreciation. It is all buttercream and the brown is made with Hershey's cocoa. It tasts just like a candy bar. mmmmmmm. I was in a hurry as you can tell by the little spaces in the weave.
This is all buttercream and a 6" heart and was a practice cake for Mother's day. (Moms shoud get flowers on Mother's day) I was on a roll practicing different uses for the basket weave. I hope you enjoy.
This was for a manager at my company who was moving back to his home state. He and his wife realized South Florida was not for everyone. It is all butter cream and the states were traced from encyclopedias (This was before I had the web @ home).
