After icing the bottom layer in buttercream, cut a corner out of the next layer to be the 3rd layer. The tree is an ice cream cone covered w/tip 68 leaves & tiny dots from tip 2 Bottom right: 9" heart lightly airbrushed w/yellow; The candles are pipe b/cream ; tip 233 piped pine boughs; tip 104 pine cones. Church Anniversary Celebration
Celebrating Liberty church's birthday. 10x4"; 2/8"; 6" tiers with an open book displayed on stands from the SUS Decorations (bow, flowers, etc) are fondant. There are tiny plastic doves on 2 of the tiers - a nod to the church logo - which also appears on the book. Made around 2006; sadly I just learned this church closed it's doors recently.
Pumpkin Cupcake Cake
All the cupcakes are iced w/white buttercream (as one) then the pumpkin is outlined w/black b'cream and airbrushed orange. Approx, 36 cupcakes total :)
Spread Over 2 Banquet Tables
10 tiers with stairs all buttercream; 2 6" hearts; 3 8" rounds; 2/10", 16" 12' & 6" set over the fountain.
4 Full Sheet Business
Asked to create 4 full sheets for a business meeting each one is 24x18; all buttercream with the company provided logos printed on wafer paper then placed on a fondant plaque.

8x4 round; buttercream textured w/a paper towel; figure piped booties, rattle, safety pins all in b'cream. Top border is reversed shells.
Girl's Birthday Sheet With Roses
I used a glass baking/casserole dish (7"x9") which give a rounded top. Iced in buttercream which is textured with a paper towel; roses are from air dried b'cream; Placing the cake on a large board allows room for the elaborate bottom border.
Sunflowers On Tiers
Royal icing sunflowers and lilies with fondant and wafer paper leaves on buttercream tiers.
8x2" round, torted & filled. A fondant instrument painted gold; piped notes. Botom border consists of stars topped w/dots; top border shells.
Pen State Football
This tri-level starts out as 2 layers of 12" square with buttercream as filling. Cut a square corner off and use it as the tri level. The football images are printed on wafer paper then attached to fondant cutouts. All borders etc are buttercream.
Tasked with making a birthday cake for a guy who’s nickname is Bug the sheet cake is baked in a 9”x12” glass casserole dish giving it rounded corners and top edge . Iced with buttercream; bugs molded from fondant in a tiny mold This is one of 2 I did for him in early 2000.

Black & White Cornelli
Just a 10x4” round with a 6x3” top tier; buttercream w/black piping gel cornelli & tall pillars Topper is floral wire w/ ‘flower buds’ (dots). Made around the late 1980s
B For Baby
For a small baby shower Two 8” x4” layers —each with a bit cut away to make them fit together then a side is cut to make it flat/straight before icing & decorating in buttercream . A 20” square board is covered with foil wrapping paper then flooded with royal (Fondant could be used) before positioning the cake layers This was made around 1990ish

Made for my grandson’s birthday It an 8”x4” round; all buttercream The teepee is an ice cream cone iced in b’cream

Considered old-fashion in this day&age this type of setup was very vogue some 20-30 yrs ago There are three 14” rounds, three 8” rounds, two 9” hearts, one 6” heart & a “mini tier” consisting of single layers 9,7,5” All buttercream including the roses
Birthday Or Anniversary
A multi occasion design— how about Mother’s Day? Birthday, anniversary, maybe even a wedding. Large oval 4” tall, small oval 2” tall topped w/6”x3” sq box. An assortment of flowers—royal,gumpaste, & air dried buttercream—Many on toothpicks. Also used tiny grape clusters The close up shows that the buttercream latticework is not really well done:(
Small Wedding Cake Made Bigger
When someone wants a wedding cake to serve not much more than a dozen make it look bigger. A12”x4” hexagon ring cake w/6”x4” round . A heavy cardboard tube is wrapped w/paper & glued to the base board to hold the top tier. All buttercream
Simple Bar Design
Either use the long loaf pan or bake a 12”x16” sheet, cut in 1/2 & stack on top of each other All buttercream except for royal icing grape clusters nestled in the leaf border; add some other flowers & the message for this quick & easy design
Basket Of Flowers
Back around the mid to late 1990s a major magazine (good housekeeping??) featured an article about a woman who was self taught making basket cakes I had to try my hand at it:) The top is completely covered with flowers royal, fondant, & air dried buttercream, tiny fondant hearts on toothpicks & loop bow. 8”x4” hexagon covered with buttercream basketweave. Many different tips can be used — like 45-48 (?); any star tip 16-25 ect. Here I used 18 So many different occasions could be celebrated w/a basket of flowers like this
