I'm putting a few of my 'giant' cookies into this one post. They are all baked in a 9" heart pan using cake mix dough, then decorated w/b'cream; some have candy molded forms; some flowers; some fondant decos.
This hexagon cake is iced in b'cream. Boots/helmet are colorflow. On top of the cake is a 3-d tree made from an ice cream cone. Sugar cubes w/b'cream strings make packages.
An 8x4 round iced in b'cream. The poinsettia is created from fruit leather. Holly leaves are fondant. Swags are piped from tip 233 in b'cream
Chocolate dipped crackers and molded candies make up this plate that was used as a gift for neighbors.
2 dinosures talk next to a volcano :) The lg dino is baked in a bowling pin pan w/egg cupcake head and rice treats tail & legs; the other is a round and the volcano is baked in the WonderMold/doll skirt pan. All iced with buttercream.
Two small oval cakes are placed side-by-side on a 1/2 sheet board covered with freezer paper. This is an all b'cream cake, including the flowers that are air-dried b'cream. The butterfly is wafer paper. this idea can be used for many occasions including b'day, anniversary, or showers.
This creation consists of a 12x8 sheet and one 6" round. There is slight carving on the top to create the 'train' top; the round is cut in 1/2 and each 1/2 placed at the bottom of the sheet cake for the wheels. It is completely iced and decorated in b'cream.

There are two 12" rounds on the bottom topped with a 10", 8" and 6"; all iced and decorated with buttercream. Royal icing dasies; air-dried b'cream roses and some tulle are used.
This small wedding cake consists of a 10x4 sq topped with an 8x4"er. Iced in b'cream with silk flowers.
The rounds are 10, 8,, 6 displayed on a SUS stand. Since this was a display cake it is all buttercream with silk leaves. The roses are molded from rolled b'cream.
There really isn't any catagory this fits in so I thought someone retiring might be planning to do some serious birdwatching :) After seeing someone on here make one of these I *JUST HAD* to make one. This is a dummy that I entered into my county fair and just now found out I won best of show :) I must say there were only 2 other enteries besides the 3 I entered:( Still it's a thrill to get best of show. It consists of a 4x1&6x1 on the bottom then four 4x2 layers; topped off w/a 6x1, 4x1 and 3x1. The top & bottom are covered in fondant. The center part is iced w/b'cream then rolled in a mixture of poppyseeds; sesame seeds; finely chopped dried cranberries; toasted cake crumbs & sunflower seed kernels. Birds are fondant; perches are pretzel sticks.
Inspired by the beautiful work of our Aldonska I made this dummy to enter in my county fair. The styrofoam is iced w/b'cream. All decorations are fondant. There was no way I could duplicate her perfect mosaic so I used an assortment of shapes just placed randomally. They are brushed w/Wilton's gold dust.
This doesn't fit in any of the catagories so I just picked this catagory as it could be used for Mother's day as well as many other occasions :) This was made to be an entry in my county fair. I did it about 6-8 weeks ahead and stored it in my basement. Some 4 days b efore due date I checked it and there were cracks on the top and a small one on the side so I didn't enter it anyway. It's all non-crusting b'cream - not easy to do Lambeth work with.
This is a dummy cake made for our county fair; it consists of an 8x4" and two 6x3 square tiers. It's iced in b'cream with fondant decorations. The bottom tier is covered in the billow technique.
This 8x4" chocolate round with cherry filling is iced in light blue b'cream. Most of the decorations are cookies iced in fondant - the others all fondant. Never having seen the movie I used the many other Toy Story cakes post on this site and others to help me. This cake was delivered an hour away - no charge.
This was a dummy cake made for my county fair. The tiers are 6,9,12,and 14; iced in buttercream. All decos are fondant. Based on a design I found on the internet. It looks brown, but really it started out as a deep, dark (Barny) purple. When I saw how brown it looked I went w/pink as the accent color. I ended up putting a topper on it - just a lg oval w/smaller circles around the base to hide the stick used to hold it up. All shapes cut with tips and cutters. I got a blue ribbon for it. Our fair limits the size you can enter and everyone else made mini cakes. This was the only 'full size' cake entered.
Just a little bit of Lambeth piping on fondant for my local county fair. To my utter amazement it won not only a blue ribbon, but Best of Show *and* Sweepstakes. Royal icing piped on fondant using tips 1,2,3,4,5. Flowers are fondant, as well as the leaves.
Sugar cookie dough bunny heads, & a strip 2 or 3" wide is wrapped around a cake pan for baking. Heads iced in royal, then details are added with felt-tipped, non-toxic, pens (made way before the food writers used now). Glue bunny heads to strip with royal icing, place on covered cake board & fill w/Easter grass & robin egg candy.
Wilton had these featured in a book. Traced pattern on stiff clear plastic, cut it out & used it to cut sugar cookie dough. After baking the pieces are put together with royal icing. In this case the egg is a hollow plastic one I filled w/candy for my grandson. The base is a sugar cookie oval iced w/royal icing.
