Where'd everyone go? Tonight we had a bonfire and roasted hotdogs. There was also meatloaf, chuckwagon potatoes, chips, dip, and pumpkin pie.

Butterflyjuju....that sounds like fun!!! Sorry I've been MIA. Dinners for me have been nothing to fancy this week. One day I had fish filet, fish sticks, and pasta alfredo. Another day I had Burger King because I was running late for work and needed to eat something quick.

Hope that all is well with my Tablemates. Have a great day!

Hi all,

Supper tonight was turkey & stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy and ceasar salad. Thank goodness for frozen leftovers, lol

Last few dinners have been; spaghetti, beef sausages cooked in tomatoes and onions, and slowcooker sweet and sour roast pork.

Lousey internet connection keeps timing out, making it hard to stay online, so haven't been able to keep up to date on what everyone is doing. Hope all's well with you.

Hi everyone. Been busy with work and kids. I made homemade lasagna. It was pretty good but the homemade noodles were a little too thick, next time I'll put the pasta roller on a smaller setting.
It's late and I need to be at work early so I'll sign off for now. Hope that you all have a great weekend.

Tonight was date night. I had Texas cheese fries, Santa Fe Spinach dip with salsa and chips, Cesaer salad with ranch dressing instead of Cesaer, sirloin steak, loaded baked potato, and broccoli cheese casserole.

I had a beef tenderloin yesterday that I cut in half. One half for yesterday, one half for today.
Yesterday it was the beef tenderloin, acorn squash, mashed potatoes, pineapple soaked in raspberry coconut rum and rolls.
Tonight is beef tenderloin stuffed with feta-bacon-spinach, applesauce, roasted potatoes, peaches and artisan cheese bread.
The kids tonight had bacon, cereal, eggs, roasted potatoes and applesauce, since they didn't want the beef tenderloin.

Working my butt off. I'm so tired it's crazy, but bills are getting paid so that's always a good thing.

so i'm slacking coming to the dinner table.... here and at home. The last week has been a little crazy trying to get caught up on not doing housework for almost a week. Had to spray our kitchen for grain bugs a couple of weeks ago and it took me awhile to get it all back together as i decided it was a good time for a deep clean, re-arranging (and this means adjusting the shelves to fit more in), and going through everything to get rid of things i don't really need.
Re-arranging has really needed to be done for a couple of years (since we moved in) b/c i had a couple of people help me organize my kitchen to start with, it was to big and a little to overwhelming on where to put everything. So after actually using it for a couple years it was time to put things so i'm a little more efficient.

Last night was pizza, pretty quick and easy.

Hi Ladies,

Ditto, Leily, on slacking coming to the table....here and at home. I've been crazy busy with work and baking. I am cringing while I wait for the gas/electric bill. Oh well.....it all goes to good causes so I don't mind.

Dinners for me have been primarily on the run but last night I did saute some chicken breast and made a chicken quesadilla. Tonight will be Costco's Pizza.

I hope that all is well with everyone and I also hope that everyone is not too crazy busy trying to prepare for Thanksgiving.

Have a great day!

Costco pizza. mmmmm. Wish I had some right now.
Dinner tonight is soup and sandwiches. My little one is sick with a fever and a bad headache. I have to go to work so I hope my husband is prepared to deal with it.

Hello table family! Sorry I have been gone for a while. Nothing bad here, just busy with regular life stuff. I hope all are well.

I am getting ready for Thanksgiving. There won't be as many of us this year. I am a little sad about that, but still cooking all the same stuff. Not sure if I'm going out shopping on Friday, I usually do but with my sister and her family not coming for the holiday, I'm not sure if I will brave it on my own! Still thinking on that.

Here is what I'm cooking at this point

Turkey
stuffing
Mashed potatoes with gravy
scalloped potatoes
noodles
corn casserole
green bean casserole
deviled eggs
angle biscuits
banana pudding
pecan pie
pumpkin pie
lamingtons

I hope you all have a blessed holiday!

(I did get my outside Christmas decorations up while the weather was so warm here last weekend. This weekend it will be very cold. Won't light them until Friday icon_wink.gif)

Nothing new to post as i've been in a "rut" for dinner ideas the last few weeks. I am looking for some new ones, but haven't gotten the spunk i need to actually try any that i find. Only 3 thanksgiving meals over this next weekend, so looks like i'll be cooking more than normal, but looking forward to a slower holiday weekend, expecially with 2 kids this year.

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving, and safe travels if you're going anywhere (near or far)

Hey Ladies! Hope that everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving! Sorry I've been MIA...I've been working and baking like a banchee but loving every minute of it. I've also been in a dinner rut over the past month. I've primarily been eating quick foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. Ohara...your Thanksgiving dinner sounds yummy icon_smile.gif . It was only 2 of us this Thanksgiving so we only had a few things. We had:

Cornish Game Hens
Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Collard Greens
Sage -Sausage Stuffing
Candied Yams
Lemon Cake with Lemon IMBC

Enjoy the rest of your Holiday and don't break the bank tomorrow for Black Friday icon_wink.gif

so i'm actually kinda excited to post something new in here tonight!! Last night about 5 we decided that we wanted turkey today so we braved the crazy shopping crowds and went to the store to get a turkey. It started out with just the two of us and our kids (althought they don't eat much yet icon_smile.gif )

Today we started inviting some more people. We ended up with 10!! I ended up doing all the cooking and it was kind of fun, i did my first turkey in the oven, first pie from scratch, first cranberry sauce (i love it with fresh cranberries, and even got request to make it for christmas!) and it was my baby boys first thanksgiving, what a fun day!

Dinner tonight was
Turkey
Mashed potatoes
Corn
Cornaroni
Macaroni
Cranberry sauce from Fresh Cranberries
Homemade rolls (my great grandma's recipe)
Homemade Banana cream pie (not only my first pie, but i didn't make scrambled eggs for the filling, i was so excited!! my BF just laughed at me)
Pumpkin Pie

And the best part was, we had great company!!

leily your Thanksgiving sounded great!

It is miserable cold here. Last night was homemade vegetable soup. Something to warm us up. Winter came early this year, and I'm not happy about that! The cold temps are one thing, but the wind is killing me. I'm not sure what is for dinner yet tonight.

I hope all are well, and check in soon.

Hey Ladies,

Oh my...our table is getting bare again icon_wink.gif . Only kidding...I know that its a busy time of year. I hope that all is well with my tablemates. Leily, its always fun when a small dinner turns into a dinner for a crowd thumbs_up.gif . Ohara...I'm with ya on lovin' soups in cold weather. Nothing takes the bite out of the winter cold like hot soup or cocoa. I'm not a fan of biting wind either...it stings my nose icon_sad.gif .

The dinners have been nothing special but the highlights have been:

Bruchetta chicken pasta
sauteed veal liver, cheddar cheese grits, and mixed corn

Y'all have great day!

Lita good to hear from you!

Yesterday my daughter had a dentist appointment, so I picked her up a little early from school. After the dentist I took her to do most of her Christmas shopping. My husband met us for dinner.
My husband and I shared a Chinese chop salad and Japanese pan noodles. It was so yummy!

We have snow this morning and a 2 hour school start delay. Slow morning here, DD bus won't come until 8:30am instead of 6:30am.

I hope all are well and check in soon.

Ok, so I hit a sale on chicken. And I like to cook ahead, bag up family-sized packets, and heat&eat later.

So, today, I stir-fried 9 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I IFQ'd (individually quick frozen) 9 more that I sliced up for chicken fingers. Then I baked 2 dozen huge chicken thighs, removed the skin and bone. Last, I put an oven-stuffer in the crock pot, to cook slowly overnight. Tomorrow, I make Pennsylvania Dutch Bott Boi (pot pie with dumplings instead of crust).

God Bless the person who invented the Food Saver.

It's no guess what we'll be eating the next few days.

Sorry it's been so long since checking in but it looks like the table has all been busy. I'll make sure to dust up a little since I'm here.

Tonight was chicken-spinach-feta brats, with honey-ginger glazed carrots, spaghetti and buttered toasted artisan sesame bread.

Last night was Italian breaded chicken breast with parm/asiago cheee risotto, seasoned green beans and fresh pineapple.

I actually pulled myself out of bed this morning early and made the whole family bacon, banana yogurt smoothies and french toast. It was a miracle. I hate getting out of bed earlier than absolutely necessary when it's winter.

Hey Ladies,

WOW.....its has been a while since we all met at the table! I'll have to help Mkolmar with the dusting. Hope that all of my tablemates had a wonderful Holiday Season. I love it but I am happy its over. Mkolmar...your din dins sound great, as always icon_smile.gif .

Now that the Holiday season is over and I am not working really late hours I'll have some time to get in the kitchen. The only thing is some of my stuff is in storage because I am gearing up to relocate soon. My mother and I have been at each other's throats because of lack of space. I've always said that there can't be two queens to one castle. I can't wait.....I'll finally have a kitchen of my very own again icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif . I'll just have to make do for now, though.

Dinner for me tonight was a roast beef and mozzarella panini with tomato relish.

Have a great night.
