Dinner last night was grilled chicken/beef burgers, salad, grilled corn on the cob, angle hair pasta and watermelon.

I hope all have a great long relaxing weekend. Not sure what we are doing yet.

apple cinnamon pork chops with noodles for the kids. For some reason this one place I buy them from is always a tougher cut. I'm not buying it again from them. I cooked the chops perfectly and even though it was juicy it was still tough. For my husband, since he worked late, I took the pork chops diced them up and added it to long grain rice instead.

Tonight was a throw together night. Pasta with sauce for some and the one had a pizza sandwich. My husband had one also. It was artisan cheese bread sliced and filled with provolone cheese, marinara sauce, pepperoni, sun dried tomatoes and basil. Toasted on the stove with butter. Chocolate cupcakes for dessert.

Hey Ladies. Hope that all is well with my Tablemates icon_smile.gif . Everyone's dinners sound awesome....especially the Pizza sandwich, Mkolmar. THAT sounds AMAZING.

I've been working and baking a lot (and my mom is out of town), so dinners have short and sweet. Dinners for me have been:

Garlic Parmesian Penne Pasta
Burger King
Bagle with Cream Cheese

Y'all have a fabulous night!

Hello everyone. I don't check in as often as I should. Life seems so busy with four children and me homeschooling 2 of them. I don't do many cakes anymore. Just mostly for family. I'm fixing to do one for my 3 year old Kaydence this month. She wants My Little Pony.

Sadly I will not get a chance to work with fondant until my youngest, Meredyth has left home. Not sure if I posted it on here before or not but she is severely allergic to pork and all pork by products. I have yet to find a fondant that doesn't include gelatin in it.

We had Cheesy Italian Shells by Hamburger Helper for supper tonight. Wanted something quick and easy and that 6 people would eat.

Hello to those who don't know me from the past.

Juju...good to hear from you.

The weather is feeling like fall here as well. I am looking forward to soups and stews...not the cold weather. Trying to embrace the season, not fret because snow follows fall.

Dinners have been

Grilled pork chops, salad, potatoes, sweet corn

Grilled steaks, oven baked potato wedges, grilled sweet corn, salads

Grilled chicken, black bean southwest salad, watermelon

Today was our free day so we had pizza.

Lots of sweet corn as it has been a great price here. Same with watermelon. I have yellow squash that I need to cook tomorrow.

Youngest daughter is settling into school. We have made several changes to her schedule, and she seems to be doing well with it. (She has Aspergers) I am trying to catch up on house stuff that hasn't been touched all summer.

I hope all are well.

Hello Tablemates! Good to hear from you, JuJu...it sounds like you have your hands full. Homeschooling is what I plan to do if I ever have children. Not that I think that standard schooling is bad but I have personal reasons why I want to be the one to educate my children (at least during the primary years where the foundation and basics (which all other subjects have their roots) are laid. Education started for me before Kindergarden where my uncle would leave spelling words and small math problems for me to solve. As much as I loathe that man...I know that I have him to thank that I excelled in school, despite what was being done to me, because of the foundation that he laid. The reason why I want to be the one to lay that foundation is because I know it's importance. Primarily...they will be mine and I don't have to much trust that they will receive a fair shake with another educator (long story).

Everyone's dinner sound awesome! Ohara...you have so much variety and the the meals you've made with seasonal foods sound SUPER YUM!!! JuJu....I've had days where Hamburger Helper was surely a helper. Sometimes we just need as day off icon_wink.gif .

Dinner for me have been Pepperoni Pizza (store bought...Little Ceasars), Homemade Beef Stew (I'm so happy the weather is changing. I'm with everyone else....its time to get down for some real cooking...its just too darn hot in the summer to fire up the oven), and some other boring things eaten on the run.

You all have a great night!

tonight was an epic fail, i haven't had one of these in a long time. I tried to make fried pork chops and fried sweet potatoes, and then was going to have applesauce on the side. Well ther apple sauce was the only good thing. I burnt everything else.

But prepping lunch for tomorrow right now. Going to have stuffed shells (i just use the same mixture as my manicotti) And then getting dinner for tomorrow night in the crockpot - going to have beef and noodles, but i use a beef short rib for my meetm so gotta let it cook all day tomorrow.

A week of apts and errands ahead of me so trying to prep meals as much as possible.

Dinner was a salad and Italian sausage stew with Italian bread.

Today is errand day...I now call it money day, as I will spend money every where I go. Dinner will depend on what may catch my fancy at the grocery store. My husband is hoping for stir fry. I'll let you know.

Hope it's a great day in your part of the world!

Tuesday ended up being stir fry. That made DH very happy.

Wednesday the family got left overs, as I went out for a few hours with a friend. I had a salad with grilled chicken, almonds, oranges, craisins, and onions and a fat free vinaigrette .

Last night I made eggplant lasagna, salad, and sweet corn.

I will be baking today. Tomorrow we are going to a blues festival for the day. It is outside and we will pack food and drinks. We are using tomorrow as our free day. I am making Italian bread to make subs on. I am also making carrot cake, but I'm going to do them in cup cake size so they are easier to transport. I am making white chocolate macadamia nut cookies for DH (he will share). Friends are going with us and they will add other stuff to the picnic. The weather is supposed to be beautiful. We will have our daughter with us for part of the day. We'll have to see how she does with the music, it is pretty loud. I will pack her ear plugs.

I hope you all have a great Friday!

so it's almost 3 hrs past when we normally eat dinner and I had to see this thread to realize i still haven't had dinner.... I think something is wrong with me.

BF is Sick. Daughter has a bad cough so we ended up going to the dr this afternoon so we didn't have to wait through the weekend. Son is getting a little cough, but trying to keep him from getting sick too.

So it's been a bit hectic around here. Guess I better go eat before I forget again. I still have a cake to finish up tonight/tomorrow morning too.

I'm going to have beef and noodles (leftovers from last night) It is one of my ultimate fall comfort foods. It so hit the spot yesterday.
