It's nearly 3am and I'm working on a cake for my 3rd child Kaydi. She turns 3 Monday and her party is tomorrow. I just need to put the base icing on it. It's ice cream filling so I have to make sure it's frozen really well. I just hope that it doesn't melt before we make it to the party. I'll take pictures before we go to the party.

DH and I had Braum's. The kids had McDonald's.

Hey Ladies,

Good to see that the table is getting full as we approach Fall. I know that this is a busy time of year. I know it is for me. Work is picking up as we approach the Holiday season. I love the Holiday Season. Its fun, fast paced, and exciting. In a weird way...it reminds me of my nursing days, except they weren't exciting or fun...just really fast paced but intellectually stimulating.

Hope that your family is feeling better Leily. I agree with Kakabekabunny...remember to take care of yourself or you'll end up sick as well. Everyone's dinner sound yummy!

Butterfly, hope that your cake come out great! I can't wait to see the pics icon_smile.gif

Tonight's dinner was fried catfish, candied yams, collard greens, and hush puppies.

Y'all have a great night.

Dinner was Lasagna.

Glad to report that everyone in the house just ended up having allergies. It didn't even cross our minds b/c i'm the one with allergies and I haven't had them yet this year. My BF on the other hand has NEVER had any allergies. Don't know what happened this year, but he got them. I'm thinking that's what is up with our daughter too. (and maybe even our son b/c he had a runny nose and was fussy this week too)

So benedryl for my BF and lots of cuddling for the kids along with an air purifier in their rooms. Has helped a lot the couple of days.

I'm the only one here that eats lettuce too. If I want salad I make it for myself.

We had chicken nuggets and smilie fries. It's my 3rd child's 3rd birthday and that is what she wanted.

I'm eating spinach dip right now though. Yummy!

Hey Ladies. Hope that all is well with my tablemates. I am a salad girl, too, kansaslaura! Grilled chickens sounds yummy....and healthy, too....not like my fried catfish icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif . Last night's dinner was left over catfish, greens...etc. Tonight I had dinner at my job from one of our cooking classes. It was a class to celebrate Julia Child. The chef made beouf bourguignon, an egglant and cheese tart, and an orange souffle. I heard of the famous beouf bourguignon but had never tasted it. Its quite tasty.

Y'all have a great night.

I had no notices on this thread for a little bit. Sorry table mates.
I've been busy with family trauma and this past weekend was a family members funeral.

Last night was stuffed shell pasta with spinach, ricotta and cheese and garlic bread.

I have to get back to work, lots to catch up on. Have a great day everyone!

mkolmar here's to a great rest of the year for you and yours!

I also am a salad girl. Thankfully so are most of mine. Our youngest doesn't like it, but all the rest do. We have salad almost every night. On days when we aren't home or eat out, I miss the salad I make.

Dinner last night was grilled pork loin, angle hair pasta, peas and carrots, and salad.

I think that tonight is going to be stuffed peppers. We shall see how today goes. We have basically no water. We have a water main break in our area. One of the school districts have canceled school for the day. I am expecting ours to release early. So my plans for today are up in the air. No laundry. No showers yet... so who knows what today brings.

I hope you all have a great day!

mkolmar - sorry for your loss, i hope the rest of the year is better for you. Our last Hell year was 2007 and it started on the jan 2nd of that year. I'm hoping to not have one like that again for oh another 100 years icon_smile.gif

Tonight was Totino's pizza. I'm home with the kids since my BF had to travel out of town again. I was going to go to the store to get stuff for a salad.... but well... yeah, that was to much work to pack the kids up to go just for that. We went shopping yesterday to Sam's and Toys R Us so that was enough venturing around with them for the week, that wore me out.

Hey Ladies,

I hope that your year gets better, mkolmar. I know exactly how you feel. The whole 2000-2010 decade was pure D Hell for me. My life wasn't a walk in the park before that, either, but I am a testament that things do get better. Keep the faith and always remember something, even during loss and trials....happiness is circumstantial but joy is internal. Don't let anything or anyone steal your joy.

Dinner for me was lemon artichoke penne pasta.

Y'all have a great night.

Hi Everyone!

Hope that all is well. Everyone's dinners sound great. Mkolmar...bacon wrapped filet mignon....OMG, it sounds delish. BACON is my weakness. I am eventually going to stop eating pork again so I know that its gonna be rough to not eat the traditional bacon vs the turkey bacon. I once stopped eating pork back in college...some 18 years ago. Bacon and pepperoni was what I missed the most.

Kakabebunny...I'm one of those weird people who LOVES liver.

Dinner for me was a cheese quesadilla with salsa.

Y'all have a great night!

Tonight we're having chili, corn cake, and i haven't decided what for dessert. My BF loves his mom's chili so she dropped it off this morning and i get to smell it all day long icon_sad.gif Then having grandparents over also, should be a fun family night.

Everyone's meals sound so gourmet...lol. DH is at work when I fix supper. So with 4 children ages 8 and under, I fix easy meals that they like.

Last night was chicken nuggets and cheese fries.

Tonight is chicken patty sandwiches and broccoli.

I think I'm going to have some chicken n noodle soup. We've all been battling pharyngitis (sore throat) and it's my turn. I think it will help soothe my throat.

Hello everyone! Hope that all is well. As always, everyone's meals sound delish.

Dinners for me have been pinto beans cooked with country ham, rice, and baked turkey wings on Wednesday Thursday.

Yesterday was a veggie delight sub from Subway.

Tonight was another quesadilla.... chicken this time, with sour cream and salsa.

Have a great night!

My dad came to visit for the weekend. Last night we had beef stroganoff, noodles, green peas, cottage cheese, angle biscuits, and an apple torte for dessert and several glasses of wine. I am still full this morning and it will be time for breakfast before I know it! I will make a large breakfast before my dad gets on the road to go home later this morning.

Since today won't be a free day, I sent leftovers last night home with my daughter and her boyfriend. He was a very happy guy!

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Last night was Stuffed Chicken parmesean, still one of my favorites!

Today for lunch i'm going to do pork chops (hopefully i can get my BF to grill them) and mashed sweets potatoes. I'm still trying to find a way we like sweet potatoes, i tried to fry them a few weeks ago and that was a MAJOR fail, i ended up burnning half of them and we just didn't like the flavor of the rest.

For dinner tonight i'm going to do Orange Glazed chicken, crispy potatoes, green beans, croissants, and sugar cookies for dessert.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday, it's kinda chilly her. Got down to 36 last night and our high is 60 today, i like it cool, but i'm almost tempted to turn the furnace on just so it gets back up to 66/67 in the house.

Have a happy one.

Hey ladies! I'm happy that we all get to chat now that the season has changed icon_smile.gif . You all have really been throwing down in the kitchen...your dinners sound amazing. I especially like the stuffed chicken parm idea. Beef stroganoff is one of my favs, as well. And peach cobbler.....LAWD have mercy thumbs_up.gif .

I worked this evening so I had Stouffer's Lasagna while there and then had a small steak and chicken fajita when I got home.

Hope that you had a nice visit with your father, Ohara. I really wish I could forgive my father but I can't . You are lucky that you have good relationship with your father. I am sure he's always been there for you...like a father is supposed to be.

You all have a great night!
