mkolmar...if I figure right, you are only about 2-2 1/2 hours north of me. If today's humidity had your hair in fits....hang in there for the next couple of days. icon_eek.gif I have had mine up for the last few days...even then you can see the little ones popping out in curls. Not cute.
Glad to know you have an appointment, is it with the doctor or do you have another test scheduled?

Ohara--my hair looks like it's trying to eat my head right now. It's not really curly anymore as just a huge ball of fizz with some curls mixed in. I'm growing out the layers of my hair so pulling it back makes a lot of lil' frizzy curls sproinging out everywhere. Glad to know I'm not the only one at the table fighting this issue! icon_wink.gif

Good luck with the house leily

LOL I bet you would be a lot more fun than the guys to have around =)
Thanks for the luck! I am getting excited now instead of really stressed.

Well ended up only having water to drink at the fair was pretty warm. But we stopped at the grocery store on the way home and picked up dinner for tomorrow night (spagetti!) and some alcohol icon_redface.gif

So I have croissant sandwhiches cooking right now (with Honey roasted turkey) and have a Ya-Ya drink (equal parts hypnotiq and fruit punch) sitting next to me. I don't like drinking to much b/c I can't stand the taste of alcohol, but my oh my does it go down smooth!

DD wanted fish and mac n cheese. But went to a friends while the fish was cooking. So Dh just had fish. And when DD got home she wasn't feeling to well so she also just had some fish and went to bed.

I took her to the doc today and she just as a virus that has to work is way out and it will take a weak. So he said she is about half way there.

Update on me. I finally got to talk to my docs nurse. The soonest they can get me in is Aug. 10 th by appointment. But she is the on call doc on Fri. so if I am feeling really bad I can be seen then. But it has to be real bad. She is a very popular doc. Very in demand. So I am going to wait and see how I feel on Fri. The nurse said if I still feel the same and not any better to call and see if they can fit me in. But if I feel any bettter to wait. But humidity is worse today. We got 7' of rain in about an hour today. Streets were flooded and we are getting sprinkles right now and more storms out there. So humidity is in the 90% range. So I has to run the air of and on just to help me breathe better.

He twin hows your kiddos feeling??

thumperbunny gotta love those HAPPY MEALS LOL

Last night was steak sandwiches. Leftovers. I was busy all day. Our church opened a free health clinic last night, we are also running a soup kitchen, and food pantry while the clinic is open. For the grand opening we also had a Red Cross blood drive. It was a very exciting day. Several people brought their kids for sports or school physicals as well as people who just needed to see a doctor. Busy for the first day.
Today I am talking DD swimming. It's going to be a hot and humid day. The tv just said 94 today. It may be too hot for swimming lol. Then we have soccer practice and a birthday party. Don't know if we will make the party.
I have no idea what we will have for dinner. Maybe take out?
Have a good day ladies....
Melissa....praying your doctors appointment goes well. Let us know.
Kay...hang in there. I hope you figure out something soon. I'm sure the heat and humidity are really hard on you.
Thumperbunny....my ddi is 10 almost 11 and she still loves getting a Happy Meal.

Just got back from the obgyn and he is confused about what's going on but is sending me for lots of bloodwork and an ultrasound. He said my abdomen is swollen huge and it could be a number of things causing it. My ultasound is next week on Thursday. Nice to finally see a doctor that cares--too bad the stomach swelling and the whole lung thing isn't connected. He actually cares enough to want to try to find an answer.

Hi again everyone!
The other night, when my husband was on his way back, his plane got delayed a couple of hours because of a package that didn't have the proper paper work. What a pain. I had already left the house when he called to tell me, and it was like 8:30, so I had to find a Target to burn some time, and then a Chick Fil A to fill everyone's tummies. BUT, despite my children sleeping until 6:30 for their naps, they STILL fell asleep on the way home from the airport. Yea!!!
We had Croque Monsieurs for dinner tonight-sooooo yummy.

We went to subway after soccer practice. New coaches this year so I had to explain to them that my daughter has Aspergers and what that means.( For those who don't know it is a form of Autism.) I liked the coaches and they really tried to make it a good environment for her.
Really hot here. We spent the day in the pool at my friends house. Same plan for tomorrow. I do have to do some errands in the morning. I need to get a few things for a cake I have to make for Saturday.

Mkolmar....I thought you were seeing the lung guy. icon_eek.gif Here's hoping they find out something next week. Girl you are falling apart. Sending prayers your way. When do you see someone about the full breathing test?
Thumperbunny...the Hello kitty toy we got the other day was stupid. My DH loves Rally's banana milk shakes.
summernoelle...glad to hear they atleast slept part of the way. What is Croque Monsieurs?
Monica....if your lurking let us know how you are feeling. We miss you.

Ok today was the first day of our fair. So I took DD out to the free BBQ. Which she didn't eat. It was BBQ pork sandwich and chips. She ate the chips LOL. Then we walked around to see what they had for rides. Cruised through the 4-H building. And then watched a TIGER show. She loved the show. And picked up a Brocolli cheese baked potato from a vendor for DH. He said it was pretty good.

So I am making fajitas for him when he gets off work.

Tomorrow I was going to try to get into the doc. But tomorrow is the cheap time for kids to go to the fair from 1 to 5. So guess where we are going LOL It will only be $9 for a wrist band to ride all rides instead of $18. I only have to pay for 1 but $18 is to much in my opinion. So I will get me a funnel cake for afternoon snack. I can't wait. I SSSOOO LOVE THEM. And maybe grab another tator for DH.

It is still HOT and HUMID so it will be another wonderful day at the FAIR. LOL I just hope the rain doesn't hit when we are there like it suppose to.

Ohara and Thumperbunny I have a girl and she has been getting the hotwheels toys they were better than the hello kitty ones. But that was a few weeks ago so I don't know what they have right now. We don't have the Rally's you are talking about.

summernoelle I am glad they still feel asleep for you. A nice peaceful drive home. YEAH

OMG, they are so good. I actually think they are Croque Madames. It is a grilled sandwich with ham, provolone (its suppossed to be Greuyere, but its too $$$), a fried egg and a sauce that you make into a roux, but with a touch of mustard. So so good. I got my recipe from 30 minute meals on foodnetwork.com.

Didn't cook tonight, just made sandwiches....as I'm working on a wedding cake. It's a small one and fairly basic.

mkolmar.....a lot of good stuff on the internet on aspergers. I have read lots. It helps me to understand some unusual behaviors. We had to laugh at soccer the other night. The coach had the kids dribble the ball around the field on the boundry lines. All the kids were back and our daughter had gone about 20 feet. I had to quietly explain to the coach that she is a literal person, and you said ON the line. He looked over at her and she was keeping the ball ON the line, which by the way takes longer than just using the line as a guide icon_wink.gif
summernoelle....thanks for letting me know where to find the recipe.
mommicakes .....WELCOME!!! Pick out your chair and stay awhile.
Kay.... I hope you enjoyed that funnel cake enough for mkolmar, yourself and ME!!! I love funnel cakes. Next week I get to go to the fair...I know I'll have 3 one for each of us.... thumbs_up.gif Now theres a plan.

Ok today was a crazy day. I was wanting to go to the doctor, but DD wanted to go to the fair. Only she spiked a temp. over night. So I called the doctor and the nurse said she should really be seen today. So I kinda killed 2 birds with one stone. She say Brooke and she has an ear infection plus the virus the other doctor said. So I told her about me going to the other doctor last week and that I wasn't feeling any better. I also told her that he dismissed me when I told him about the acid reflux maybe being the cause. She rolled her eyes and said some of these older doctors don't read up on the new stuff. So she gave me some more samples for acid reflux and told me to try them with the inhaler and get back to her in a few weeks witht the results.

So after we got done at the doctors we went on out to the fair for a few hours. By that time I was so hungry. I got a butter pecan ice cream cone while I waited for DD on a ride. And then DD and SIL, and nieces (They showed up there) were hungry as well as DD so we got food at the potatoe shack. I got a baked potato with chili and cheese. And got stuffed about half way through.

Then the girls wanted to stay and watch the tiger show. My nieces hadn't seen it yet. So my DH and DS came out to it also. DS wanted a funnel cake so I did get a few bites of his.

So I will make a special trip tomorrow just to get me one. LOL But now I guess I need to eat 3 LOL one for each of you. Ok one with powder sugar for my twin, one with cinnamon and sugar for me, Ohara what do you want on yours?? Some fruit maybe so we got a variety to share LOL

Sorry I wrote a book.

Dh ate some popcorn before work. So I better make him something got for when he gets off work. But I don't have a clue as to what...

Well we didn't eat well again tonight. DS and DH had some deli sandwiches that I had coupons for from Kraft. And then I made chicken sandwiches and mac n cheeses for DD and a niece when we got home from the carnival. I am going to make chicken ramen noodle stuff for DH for when he gets off of work and my late night supper. (I am baking cake tonight) I am so tired that I just want to go to bed but I need to make 2 more batches of frosting.

So I will chat with you all later. Cause if I sit and type I get more tired.

WOW this is a first in a long time. I posted about 24 hrs after the other and no one else posted. WEIRD.

Well I didn't make the ramen noodle stuff I was going to make. I couldn't find my baby carrots I just bought. (Dumb blonde moment) I didn't look in the sack with the strawberries. A guy sacked them and I thought it was only the strawberries. I placed the sack in the fridge without looking. I searched high and low for the carrots. So made some BBQ chicken sandwich for DH.

So tonight I needed to decorate a cake. DD wanted deli fried chicken legs and mac salad. So now I am making hamburger helper Cheesy hashbrowns for Dh when he gets home.

I don't know why I feel totally exhausted I haven't really done anything. Maybe weekend let down LOL Dang now it is the MONDAY BLUES.

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Hey I know I was tired from the weekend. But we have had some storms at night and then HOT AND VERY HUMID DAYS. Which is very draining on the body. GGGGRRRRRRR

Ok tonight I made patty melts for DD and myself. And for DH a Hambuger topped with sauted mushrooms and store bought mac salad.

I am making My chicken rice burritoes for Dh when he gets home.

I am breathing alittle better at times. I just need to remember to use the inhaler. I am aweful about doing that.

I took DD back to the doc again. they can be so stupid. I have been to the doctor 3 times in the past 5 days GGGGGRRRRRR And only one time to my actual doctor. Her meds were causing severe stomach pains and she kept a temp of 102. So I needed another med to substitute for the one my good doc prescribed. Hopefully she will be better soon. She has been so whiney. Thank God school starts next week YYYEEEAAAHHHHH HAPPY DANCE

Tonight was ham steak, parmasian-cheese mashed red skinned taters, rolls, sauted veggies and chocolate chip cookies.

I'm still feeling pretty good with less chest issues, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Now for something scary: My 7 year old daughter is allergic to Paba in sunblock so I only use the Mary Kay brand, I forgot it the other day when we went out so I bought Hawiian Tropics -Paba free brand. Well the next day my daughter started acting REALLY grouchy, so I thought she might be having an allergic reaction, since it always comes out in her emotions first. Raya is covered with bumps that look like meazels and cheeks are swollen up. To my suprise my soon to be 4 year old daughters cheeks are really swollen and red with bumps, she's having an allergic reaction also.
Later on both starts screaming their stomachs hurt and have fevers, vomiting everywhere like on a movie (even a sip of water would come back up)and they are breathing weird. I take them to the pediatritian (one I have never seen before in that practice) and tell her whats happening, she says it's just a virus that needs to run it's course.
MY DH doesn't believe that answer and I stay up with my kids ALL night, since they were soooooo ill. (my 2 boys are 100% fine)
Talk to my friend who is almost done with nursing school today and tell her whats going on with the girls she yells at me to call the allergy specialitst Talk to the specialist and they tell me that my daughters had a serious anaphalactic reaction and that it's only a miracle that they both didn't die last night. That because of all of those issues going on that their little bodies where trying to shut down on them, and if it would have continued their hearts might have stopped. I'm an emotional basket case right now! I feel like it's all my fault because I bought the sun block that wasn't safe when I thought it would be. I've been crying off an on since this afternoon. I can't imagine that I was that close to loosing my 2 girls.
They are doing much better right now but still not eating and afraid to drink, they are sleeping a lot and laying around. It's only by the grace of God that they are still here. sorry this was long--I'm gonna go and cry some more now.
