That's great Kay, I'm so glad that your DH was nuts over meeting him.
Post the pics as soon as you can, the wedding cake sounds beautiful, even if the topper isn't what you wanted it to be. Good job on surviving, we all knew you would!

Today was my pulminary function test. It was suppose to be a complete set of tests but the Doc's office forgot to put complete on the script so the hospital would only do the regular breathing test, like what I had done at the Doc's office. Waiting to hear back from the Doc's office now to see when I have to go and get the rest of the testing done. That breathing test about drove me nuts. I failed it misrably, I just know it. I should get the results within a week. The nurse who was giving the test told me "Not that I can say much, but your test wasn't good and I HIGHLY recommend you get the complete test done and demand your doctor to do it and then follow up with the cat scan and whatever else has to get done"
I'm not worried though until I get a diagnosis.

Tonight is fresh fruits and veggies with sandwhiches

Twin that had to be a big pain to go get the test and the don't do the whole thing. I am going to call tomorrow for an appointment. It has been really hot and humid here and I have been having trouble breathing again.

Ya it has been a fun filled summer. Stressful at times but a BLAST. And school starts next month YYYEEEAAAHHHHH.

okay, tonights meal ended up being scrambled eggs, fruit and whole wheat english muffins for the kids. DH and I had egg and cheese whole wheat english muffins with fruit. I also made blueberry-strawberry-banana yogurt smoothies for everyone.

Kay-glad to see you are FINALLY going to get that test done!
Ohara-it was frustrating, but there was no sense in getting upset since nothing could be done about it at that moment. I felt awful after the test and was coughing bad and was light headed. But I had chocolate and magically felt better icon_lol.gif just kidding. I'll keep ya'll posted when things change.

We went out with friends last night....so no cooking for me icon_wink.gif
Y'all know how that breaks me up...

I did however make a cake. I have another wedding cake to do ( this makes 3 small ones in the next couple of weeks) and the bride wants red velvet. So I made one as practice. I don't have much experience with red velvet. I personally don't think that it has a distinctive flavor. ???? A friend told me she doesn't like red velvet, so I ask her what don't you like about it? She doesn't know, just doesn't like it.???? Any of you red velvet fans? if so can you describe for me the flavor, or what you like ( or dislike) about it. Thanks.

No idea about dinner tonight, as it's still early. Have a good day.

Welcome to the table AuntieElle!

I didn't have any idea this morning about what dinner was going to be.....duh...we had plans to meet another family at Chuck E Cheese. icon_redface.gif
So we had pizza. Chuck E Cheese is not our favorite place( that's putting it mildly) But I didn't have to cook it. I am meeting with the bride tomorrow to work on menu and budget (I already know it is small...aren't they all).
Hope all are well.

Welcome to the table AuntieElle.

Ohara- Red velevet is suppose to have a slight chocolate flavor. It's just basically a cake with a whole LOT of red dye in it for that color. To be honest, I've never really tasted chocolate in the cake just a different flavor because of all of the dye. There is suppose to be a good recipe on here posted by Newlyweds. I have not tried it yet, but I've heard it is really good.

Today was a picnic in the park with my kids. I then went and bought a new 5qt artisian KA from Sears with the Lowes add since they price match 110%---It cost me $135. I'm so excited! It's my favorite color---Cobalt.
Dinner was salad with sunflower seeds and feta crumbled on it, steak, baked potatoes with chives and butter, applesauce, italian bread, and sauted green-red + yellow pepper with onion. Then the kids and I went to the YMCA to go swimming. --I'm tired ya'll

party.gif Welcome party.gif AuntieElle

I called today about an appointment and they were to call me back and NO CALL. So I will call again tomorrow. So last night was hot dogs and fries or left over lasagna I made the night before.

And tonight I put up some corn for freezing. Here is an awesome tip I got from Rachel Ray. If you want to cut corn off the cob use a bundt pan. You sit the cob in the middle and cut it off and the pan catches the corn dunce.gif I never would have thought of it. BBBUUUTTT I couldn't find my bundt pan but did find a rose pan I bought from Wal-Mart on clearance before I got into cakes. On the same line as a bundt pan. And it works AWESOME.And if you don't get all the silk off the corn it helps catch it. I was suprised how great it worked. So I had to pass it on.

Ohara I did a red velvet for my SIL I used a box mix and really didn't think it was that great infact I hated covering the red color with icing. It bleed through so bad I decided to make the icing RED. Maybe it was because it was box I don't know. But after eating one that was homemade I am with mkolmar it has a touch of chocolate flavor but a different taste probably from all the coloring like she said.

wgoat5 You of all people you have went through so much doctoring also. So we are thinking of you also Don't forget that ((BIG HUGS TO YOU))) And crap I win MOM of the year every day with my meals icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Dang if hot dogs and fries don't get it for me I am DOOMBED icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

My Dh says when he works all day he doesn't want hotdogs or sandwiches....but I have a "visitor" right nowand he doesn't really want to mess with me! icon_biggrin.gif

Anyways, like I said I hope you all feel better and I am praying for my CC table friends icon_smile.gif

Doctors don't call back like they should! Sooo...if you have had tests run, Keep calling THEM....I once was told at the gyn that if a pap test comes back bad we wouldn't get anything in the mail they would call us (they send a POST CARD saying tests are OK). I didnt get a call and the post card never came but thought that it got lost in the mail. Went back with a problem 6 YES 6 months later and my test had come back bad...luckily not cancer but had some cells that weren't right. icon_sad.gif So they aren't always right!!! Get 2nd and 3rd opinions please.

Kay I am doing really good right now, I am able to eat small meals and my sugar doesn't drop. Another drastic diet change saved me from surgery. I eat small meals anyways because of my bypass surgery, but now they are even smaller...1 meal a day and I do boost through the day.

last night was skewers of shrimp with a terriaki stir fry

Ok I called the doctor again today. The one I usually see isn't in today. So I ask for the other one I like. Her nurse calls me back and asks what is wrong. So I tell her that I am having difficulty breathing. And that I went through this before. And that my other doctor told me if it continues I will probably need a breathing test done. They were pretty busy. But she said I should really be seen today. So she gets me right in with the on call doctor. I didn't like him at all. He asked me a few ?? And listened to my chest. I had told him what my doctor had said about the breathing test. And he asked me if I smoked I said no but DH does. And then he asks if I have had other problems in the past with breathing UUUHHH DUH I just told you that. I also told him I usually get bronchitis alot. That is why the other doc wanted me to do the breathing tests. And I have been coughing gunk up abit and my throat was alittle sore. So he gives me an advair inhaler sample. And perscription for an antibiotic. Plus a perscription for the albuteral inhaler. He said it would kick in fast if I really needed it. So I go to Wal-Mart to get the meds. And the pharmisist talks to me about the albuteral. She is telling me he gave me a pretty large dose and I could only put in half the liquid to see if that helps. I AM LIKE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. He wrote the perscription for the nebulizer machine. Not what we had discussed. She also said his percription was written kind of weird and didn't make sense. And by that time the docotors office was closed so she gave me the puffer like he was suppose to do. So needless to say I will get through the weekend and call my doctor on Monday. And tonight I remebered I saw him about 15 years ago when I smashed my finger at work and I had to go to him. He was a DUMBA$$ then also.

But on a good note since the last time I was at the doctors I have lost 8 lbs and I wasn't even trying. But I really need to LOL

So anyway I made meatloaf, baked potaoes and fresh corn cut off the cob for supper. I was going to do up some more corn tonight but I am just so worn out. I will do it tomorrow.

You know Kay I have come to the conclusion that 95% of the dr's are only in their profession for the money. And that same percentage just gives ya meds to get ya out of the office!! Please watch how you take your meds and be sure to call your reg dr on Monday!!!

Example

My aunt who was never sick and talked to my mom reg on the phone every morning before she went to work at 6 am had no symptoms one morning...she got up talked to my DM on the phone, got off and had a headache (which she never had ...truly in her life she never had headaches) her daughter called her not long after mom got off the phone with her and she told her dd that she was going to call in to work (which she NEVER did), dd decides she better go check on her mom....finds her laying on the couch convulsing..she calls 911....911 comes takes her to the emergency room (our bandaide station, cause it's not worth even that) then calls for stat flight....She doesn't regain consciencness until they do BRAIN surgery on her 2 weeks later..diagnosis...Brain cancer...terminal. So they put her on the chemo pill...she can't walk real good or anything...she goes to live with her dd....1 week after they get home (they had a baby moniter in her room) they her calling for help...she had fallin.....they get her to the hospital (now mind you this has all happened in a matter of three weeks) she dies 2 days later...ya wanna know what the cause was? The dr. had prescribed her chemo pill AND ACCIDENTALLY TRIPLED her chemo dosage!!!!!!! She only weighed about 100 pds soaking wet and they prescribed her enough chemo for a 400 pd MAN!!! THAT's why she died...not the cancer...because of their flub up needless to say Doctors do screw up....so please call your doctor!!!

Dinner tonight was biscuits w/ gravy and fried green tomatos (it's a southern thing gals icon_biggrin.gif )

((((((((hugs)))))))))) have a great day!!

Kay, go back to your doctor on Monday and tell them what happend. I would also never go see that crappy doc again, just your good one.

Tonight DH and I went to the Mud Hens game because one of his clients had a big outing and invited us. I had a hot dog and some pasta salad with water and a cookie.---It was catered from the cooks at the ballfield. I always wonder how much it costs them to have it catered there? It's just hot dogs, brats and some burgers with chips and pasta salad with those ready made chocolate chip cookies. But I'm sure it's not cheap at all!

Well it was better than us for supper. DD just had left over meatloaf and grapes her FAVS. DD and I are really the only ones that like meatloaf so we even eat it for breakfast. DD had it for breakfast, lunch and supper I know I am a bad mommy. But she was craving it just like me LOL.

DH is still sleeping I am getting worried he has slept around 11 hrs. It is his (night or morning how ever you look at it off) and I know he is tired and he stayed up later than ususal. I was hoping for some time together with him. But I am sure he needs to sleep. BBUUUTTT sometimes if I don't get him up he complains I let him sleep to long. MEN LOL

Anyway I have been cleaning and putting up some more corn. I don't know what I am going to make to eat yet.

Hey twin do you have any left overs I will take some off your hands LOL I love PIZZA

PS DD has a sore throat also. Maybe where my sore throat came from. She is coughing up junk so she will go with me to the doc on Monday.

We all have slightly sore throught but I can't complain.
--Tell me what you good doc says about your breathing--hope you get some answers--make sure to tell him about the quack doc that you saw last time.

Last night was Lori's birthday dinner (my brothers girlfriend) at my mom and dads. We had bbq pork ribs, beef hotdogs, cheesy potatoes, homemade coleslaw, baked beans, grilled pineapple and watermellon. For dessert there was chocolate and vanilla with carmel ice cream, grilled peaches, chocolate dipped strawberries and vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting. Guess what I was in charge of--yep, dessert.

I didn't get into the doctor today she was booked up. So I am going to call tomorrow again and see if I can get in. The advair is helping to breath alittle bit better but I still want to go she her and tell her about the other doc and to see about that test. It is dang humid here and I feel like I am swimming under water and can't come up for air. I know that sounds weird but that is how I feel especially if I have to be outside for a long time.

Last night was breakfast for supper. French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns.

Tonight was kids favorite meal my chili mac that they totally love. DH ate alittle bit of it but before he went to work he had 4 chicken brocolli hot pockets.

Twin did they ever do the full test on you yet?? Keep us posted.

Everybody else must be busy or on a diet LOL. The table is pretty empty. I hope everyone is having a great summer.

Last night was steaks on the grill, grilled potatoes and onions, and salad with bacon and blue cheese crumbles.

I took DD to swim at a friends house yesterday. My friend had to work, so it was just me and my daughter. We did have fun and I wore her out. I worked out in the pool while she played. We will probably go again today, as it is going to be 90 today.

Kay.....I'm not having breathing problems, but I do know what you mean about it's like breathing underwater. I think of you and mkolmar when it's this humid. Keep us posted.

Mkolmar.... is VBS inside or out? Do y'all usually have alot of kids? It will be a hot week. How are you doing with the humidity? Dessert sounded great by the way thumbs_up.gif

Ohara-vbs is inside mainly, but they do go outside for games. I'm working down in the snack area, so I don't have to be outside all the time. I had to go outside more yesterday though so I could get head counts of each class grade and look at the register to know who had what kind of allergy and what class they were in so I could have a seperate snack available.
Tonight I have to work so I'm missing VBS, DH is dropping off the kids and picking them up, so they can still go.

Tonight will probably be 'mater soup with grilled cheese.

Sorry I dissapeared from the table. I haven't had a chance to catch up on all of your post but I am pretty sure we have found a house! yeah! so we will be negotiating the next week or two (hopefully not that long)

Our guest did leave and since then my BF went into tournaments for both of his softball leagues so it was 3-4 games a week then I had a couple of cakes to do to that kept me busy (I will have to get around to posting pics soon)

But today starts the big fair around here starts so we will be goint to concerts everyday this week (well i won't be friday b/c it is poison) so it will be fair food all week (hhmmm so not healthy but oh so good!)

Here is the line up for the concerts I am so excited!
Tues - Lonestar
Wed - Josh Turner
Thurs - Gretchen Wilson
Fri - Poison (BF will be going with friend)
Sat - Big and Rich
Sun - Chris Cagle

So I will be checking in on the post but probably won't post much so I have more time to read and can stay caught up with what everyone is talking about.

Oh last night I finally cooked dinner at home (been over a month) had homemade fettucine alfredo with grilled chicken and breadsticks (was going to be brocolli to but the freezer door didn't get shut all the way this week)

Talk to you guys soon!
