Autumn Apples
This is a Confetti Cakes design requested by a customer, so did my best to replicate it. When I showed up, they didn't have the tables or linens ready so had to just take snapshots and cut it out with photo editing software. The lighting on the apples isn't good. My version isn't as perfectly squared off as the one on Confetti Cakes but I was pretty happy with it overall. The apples are fondant. Cakes are alternately yellow with chocolate buttercream and pumpkin/cream cheese filling/whipped bc.

Ford Shelby Mustang Gt500
Customer gave me a photo to copy...I think it actually looks a little better in person than in the photo. I usually hate car cakes, its hard for me to get the shape right and the details good but I am happy with how this one came out. I cut it from a double layer 9x13 and covered in fondant. Black parts are painted. I used a round wooden board as a base with a few thin boards screwed on top to lift the cake just enough so the tires fit. Thanks for looking!

Hey, Diddle Diddle
Cake requested by customer to match nursery theme... I used a picture she sent me as a model for the characters which explains the colors and etc... (There are probably cuter ones online but this is the style of characters they wanted). I drew the characters on with food marker on the bottom... cut the top figures out of fondant and used painting/food marker to decorate. The stars on top are painted silver and then decorated in disco dust.

Over The Hill
Just a silly cake I made for someone....not as attractive as I had pictured in my mind but got the message across...a nice pleasant hill on one side but once you get "over the hill" you hit a mudslide where there's no turning back. haha. Requested by the lady's family. Its a double layer 10" topped by a wonder mold and cut a bit to blend together.

Spinosaurus
This mom likes me to make a 3D scene on a sheet cake rather than a complete 3D cake. This year her son wanted a spinosaurus...a "realistic" one. I airbrushed the volcano in the back (also a request) but the colors seemed to run some. Oh well. The boy recognized his dinosaur with a big smile and that is what mattered! Mom was happy too.

Hibiscus
This hibiscus was for a guy who wanted it as 3D as possible. Since its such a delicate flower I told him I'd try to make a 3D one on top of a round cake since he needed like 20 servings. I wasn't sure how to do the sides so just draped some leaves around the sides and finished off the base with a few small leaves. The flower I made seperate petals and let dry, and then filled in the center with fondant and painted. The center is a dowel.

Animal Pets
This was for a man's birthday who owns an online pet supply store. Initially she wanted a warehouse but I thought this design would be more attractive and she agreed. Some of the airbrushing and stuff could use improvement but as a whole I am ok with this. The customer is taking it quite a ways so hope it makes it!

Grad Cake--Books
Did this one a couple weeks ago at work. My boss assembled it for me right before delivery since I only work two days per week. Sorry the photo is small, my camera wasn't working so my boss took these and sent them and they ended up small...hope to get a bigger version soon. Anyway the comp books are just fondant, I sponge painted the black and drew the logos with food markers. Also decorated the pennents with food markers as well. Pencil is fondant.

Ironworker Groom's Cake
This is a 16" square that I cut slightly rounded and tried to match to the belt buckle to the right. Its iced in blue BC and then has fondant pieces laid over the top. I didn't think until the last minute that I should have bought some grey petal dust or something to shade the pieces with instead of liquid color but it was too late. And then my airbrush is acting up so I spit what silver coating I could over the cake and then tried to make up for it with plenty of silver hologram dust.

Stork With Baby Bear
A customer who must have alot of faith in me decided they wanted a stork with baby bear cake in 3D. Although the legs are not there and the neck is shortened, I think the idea is still there. This sits on a 20" board and feeds 50. I have to run tomorrow to pick up some blue satin for the base before I deliver it. The bear face and stork head are rice krispy treats. The colors look a little more muted and natural in "real life", my lighting in this is bad. I added the extra shot to show the feet.

Oriental Wedding
This cake is a design from Duff's website, a customer at work requested this. My boss and I worked on this project. He airbrushed the boughten gumpaste flowers and covered the cakes in fondant and then I added the ribbon, piped the oriental symbols in royal, painted them gold, and arranged the flowers.
