Mad Hatter Topsy Turvy Cake
My boss and I did this at work a couple weeks ago. I made the flowers and pearls and balls ahead of time...then he cut the cakes crooked and iced them in buttercream, and helped cut the shapes and then I laid the shapes on the cake and attached the other decorations. It was my first "topsy turvy" cake and was alot of fun!

Little Einsteins
Thanks to Zaleski2 for inspiring the ball/round/twinkie structure of this! I threw this together real quick for my son's birthday. The cake isn't as neat as I usually want it done and my edible image tore but I think he'll love it just the same! I want to perfect this though, I love Little Einsteins!

Dinosaur
This is 3D egg pan using rice krispy head and neck and part of tail, fondant rest of tail, feet, and rock, and icing/brown sugar/airbrushed dirt. Dino is covered in fondant and airbrushed as well. A little nervous about the long neck traveling well, it should be fine as long as the krispies are cold, this one is staying in the fridge overnight.

3D Shark
Thanks to Cake Corner for sharing some hints with me for this cake! Although I totally messed up and was not even able to build a stand as instructed, so this cake is luckily staying home for my son because it does not have any inner support to travel with except the board inside the shark. I also broke a few of my own "all edible" rules by making the lower jaw of styrofoam and the fin of paper plate. My son will like it, that is what counts!

50Th Anniversary Cake
Did this for a friend... cakes are homemade pound cake filled with a white chocolate/cool whip and fresh fruit (might be too soft though...?) and iced with a whipped buttercream recipe I got from work. Flowers are done in royal. I wanted it to look yummy as well as pretty, so it is kinda simple but I thought they'd like it.

Tiffany Box Cake
I was happy to have the opportunity to make this... its a big one, a total of four ten inch layers, each on its own board for ease of serving. I wish I was better at smoothing fondant and making perfect corners, so if anyone has any tips or critiques I would love a PM with some helpful techniques! I was happy about how my logo turned out though, using wax paper and food marker.

Hugs And Stitches Theme Cake
First time using this stand...hope I draped the fabric right! This was a fun cake I made for a friend whose baby with leukemia turns one this week. I was glad to try to make the birthday extra special, and the cake was fun to make. My icing wasn't as smooth as I would have liked but oh well. Oh and for the ruffle I just used a cute embroidered butterfly eyelet from the fabric section.

Bunny, Chick, And Egg
Bunny is 3D bear, modified....egg is 3D egg cut in half... chick is cake scraps and bunny feet are cut mini balls. Had trouble doing the ears right. Anyway base is not cake...it is styrofoam and cake boards, wrapped and ribboned, and iced on top. Then dowels hold the cakes down to the board underneath. White spots are the sparkle dust I sprinkled on it at the end.

Curious George (Original, Not New Movie)
I still can't get my MMF the right consistency to be able to cover 3D figures well. However the photo covers alot of mess ups, LOL, and so do "streamers" and "party hats"! haha. Anyway this is to match a party theme of the Curious George from the books, not the new movie.

Gift Cake
Anyone know how I could have finished the bottom neatly? For some reason I do better with novelty cakes...these ones that "everyone" knows how to do are difficult for me for some reason! Anyway the bow is made of candy...I tried a fondant one and it didn't work out so someone showed me how to make the candy melt kind and it did work! I definately need practice though.... no wonder I can't get any wedding cake orders!!!!
