for my DD's elementary school fundraiser; it is actually full of MnMs, not gumballs.
Water Fall Luau
For my DD's 4th birthday, we surprised her with a luau thrown for her and her friends
Monkey's Love Popcorn Too
for my DD's 6th birthday she asked for a monkey cake. I am not talented enough to carve a monkey, but I wanted her to have the cake she asked for, so I improvised! There are 6 monkeys because it was her 6th birthday.
this is a close up of the roses on my Wilton Course III; Fondant and Tiered Cakes final. I had the picture posted, along side the actual cake in a different gallery, but I think CC removed it because it was "duplicate" of the same cake. I think they turned out lovely and wanted to share though, so I am trying a different gallery for them.
Daisies And Roses
This is a close up shot of the flowers from my Wilton FGP Course final. The daisies are gumpaste and the roses are fondant. The trinket box is a 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant.
Wilton Course Fondant And Gumpaste
This was my final for Wilton's FGP Course. I added roses, that I learned in Course III.
Wilton Course Ii Final
This was my final for the Wilton Course II class. Not real excited about it, but thought I would share since I posted the rest of my Wilton Course class photos.
For my DD's 5th birthday I tried to incorporate several ideas that I got from this wedsite into one cake;including the pillow cake and ballet slippers. The end result was okay, but I am very happy with the ballet slippers. I got the template from CC in the template section.
Wilton Course Iii Package Cake
This was the package cake I made for session 2 of Wilton's Course III class
Memorial Day Flag
I was asked to make a cake for a Memorial Day family get together. A neighber had this "flag" hanging off their house and I thought the design would be perfect. I took pictures of the flag and went home and made a template (for the yellow area) and eyed the rest. Nothing real elaborate, but I think it was perfect for the occasion.
10 or 12 inch sq cake covered with fondant to look like a baby blanket. I just followed the directions in one of Wilton's Yearbooks (can't remember the year though)
For my DD's preschool class snack, last year, which fell on the calendar around Thanksgiving. I just followed the directions in Wilton's Cupcake Fun book. Because her school snacks are supposed to be "healthy" we also made a granola, cereal, sunflower seed, honey concoction thing and put it on the plate infront of the turkeys and called it "turkey feed". It was cute and fun to do.
Wilton Class; Course Iii Final
This was my final for the Wilton Course III; Fondant and Tiered Cakes.
Magician's Top Hat
For my husband's grandfather's 83rd birthday. I was asked to make his cake and was given no guidelines or ideas; I knew he loved magic tricks though. It is 3(or 4) 8in rounds stacked and covered in choco bc colored blk, the rim is just a cake board cut and covered in the same icing. All the accents are made from fondant; except the bunny, which is a cookie and decorated w/ bc and the dove, which I purchased at a hobby store in their wedding section. Oh, and the coins are the foil wrapped chocolate kind.
