Fondant Roses
this is a close up of the roses on my Wilton Course III; Fondant and Tiered Cakes final. I had the picture posted, along side the actual cake in a different gallery, but I think CC removed it because it was "duplicate" of the same cake. I think they turned out lovely and wanted to share though, so I am trying a different gallery for them.

Memorial Day Flag
I was asked to make a cake for a Memorial Day family get together. A neighber had this "flag" hanging off their house and I thought the design would be perfect. I took pictures of the flag and went home and made a template (for the yellow area) and eyed the rest. Nothing real elaborate, but I think it was perfect for the occasion.

Turkey, Turkey
For my DD's preschool class snack, last year, which fell on the calendar around Thanksgiving. I just followed the directions in Wilton's Cupcake Fun book. Because her school snacks are supposed to be "healthy" we also made a granola, cereal, sunflower seed, honey concoction thing and put it on the plate infront of the turkeys and called it "turkey feed". It was cute and fun to do.

Magician's Top Hat
For my husband's grandfather's 83rd birthday. I was asked to make his cake and was given no guidelines or ideas; I knew he loved magic tricks though. It is 3(or 4) 8in rounds stacked and covered in choco bc colored blk, the rim is just a cake board cut and covered in the same icing. All the accents are made from fondant; except the bunny, which is a cookie and decorated w/ bc and the dove, which I purchased at a hobby store in their wedding section. Oh, and the coins are the foil wrapped chocolate kind.
