This an upside down wedding cake I decorated earlier this week for our display window. Customers have loved it!

You have to make sure your bottom tier is stuck down well to anchor. I used royal icing and letit dry well. then I just used stacked construction with dowels in each layer and one through the whole cake and just was super careful when I moved it. Feel free to use the idea it's a lot of fun.

This may be a silly question but do you do something to cover the underside of the cake board since people can see under the edges of the larger cakes?

this is soooooooo cool !!!!! now here is a silly question, you say it is for display, so is it real or a dummie? and did you ice the whole thing in royal icing?
