Weight Loss Help...with The Chunky Monkeys!
Lounge By TexasSugar Updated 28 Oct 2011 , 1:50pm by TexasSugar
I finally sat down and created my goals using S.M.A.R.T. Goals.
I will lose 25-30 lbs by
Exercising daily
Choosing healthier foods
Watching portion sizes
I will measure my weight loss by
Weighing every Wednesday morning
Taking measurements once a month
Taking pictures every two months
I will lose 1-2lbs a week. I need to lose 6lbs a month to reach my goal weight in 5 months.
Exercise goals: Exercise daily
Schedule a work out time
Make a work out plan and keep an exercise journal.
Try new exercises
Actually use exercise equipment/aids I already own
Eating goals:
Create a weekly menu and stick to it.
- Plan ahead to speed up time in the kitchen.
- Cook smaller portions or package up additional portions right away so I will not be tempted to eat them in one setting.
- Freeze precooked meats and veggies for quick lunches and dinners on class nights.
Learn and try new ways to make recipes I have healthier.
Try new healthy recipes.
Choose healthier options of foods, even when I choose to eat fast food I will order in a way to still reduce calories in my diet.
Keep a food journal and write down what I eat before I eat it.
I will be able to flesh out my exercise goals more when I get a chance to sit down and start planning my work outs. I want to do that tonight, but it will depend on how long I spend at the grocery store. I do want to start going to bed earlier so I can get up in the mornings and get the elliptical work out done first thing.
I also need to start working on my menu plans. Im winging it this week, since if I put off going to the store another night I wont have anything quick and healthy to eat for lunch tomorrow. My plan for this week is to get some fresh veggies plus fruits to go with stuff that is already in the freezer (such as chicken breasts). Im also going to pick up some frozen meals to eat for lunch until I get a chance to stock the freezer with other items.
I have a few more goals for myself for this year that are not weight related. One is that I need to clean my house, get organized and stay that way.
The top three rooms on the list are the kitchen (it needs to be de cookied from the holidays), my bedroom (since I need to go through clothes again) and the extra bedroom (so Hank can be moved out of the living room.) After those are done I will either do the living room and dining room or clean out and organize the cake room. I think if I set a schedule and stick with it I can have that done by the end of the month or early February.
Once the house is back in order I plan to make myself sit down and actual use my cake toys, umm I mean tools, that I have bought over the years. I have many different flower cutters/vieners that havent been touched since I bought them. I also need to get my brother to build a hot box for me so I can attempt sugar work.
I also plan to make time for crocheting. That is something that I could work on even when I am watching TV, but just havent done much of it lately. I have an afghan that is promised to someone that I really need to finish as well as a couple other works in progress that I set aside last summer. It is relaxing, not to mention would use up some of the yarn I have been stock piling. I havent gotten into scrapbooking or beading because frankly I have no more room in the inn for another hobby. Cake stuff has its own room but still manages to spill into the kitchen and the yarn is getting stuffed into empty drawers and plastic containers. Oh my!!
I hope everyone has a great and productive evening. Im feeling very motivated right now and am going to do what it takes to keep that motivation going.
Hugs!
Tracey, that's interesting that you mention crocheting...I crochet as well and its been awhile since I worked on any of it. I have an afghan that's gone unfinished, too! I don't know about you, but every time I pick it back up after I haven't touched it for awhile, I am in awe of how relaxing it is and I wonder why I didn't do it sooner.
I like your goals list...it's very comprehensive and to the point. I struggle to stay organized and my house gets out of hand more often than I care to admit (especially my bedroom). I come from a long line of hoarders and pack-rats and I fight it every day...my Mother, bless her heart, embraces it. I feel your frustration with the clutter and I encourage you to keep chipping away at it.
I'm really loving the WW and it's so much easier than I ever imagined it would be!
Cheryl
Rachie, those are interesting books. I have two fo the three. They basicly teach you that just because something looks like a better option from the front label that it isn't always when you really start comparing numbers. And the resturaunt information, WOW! I actually believe they should put calorie counts on menus beside the items. I think many people are just totally clueless how much they are actually consuming when they are eating out.
Cheryl, thank you. I know if I get more detailed in what I need to do then I have a better chance of doing it. Of course I'm awesome at making lists but not always as awesome at the follow through. So we will see what happens.
My mother and her parents were pack rats. Maybe it has something to do with their genernation and the fact that they didn't have alot of they held on to everything. I know I could easily fall into the same pattern, because that is what I grew up with. Oh you have an empty basket, save it, you might use it for something. Oh you have a box full of packing peanuts, save it. You never know when you will need it and those things aren't free. Of course my weakness is mostly cake sutff. And we know how out of control that stuff can get.
Not only am I going to lose weight this year but I am going to get organized and hopefully stay that way.
Last night I had some negative thoughts. Not really about losing weight. I've done that. More about actually keeping it off long term. I don't want to get to where I can only eat off a certain list of things, but I know to do that I will have to stay on top of what I eat and make sure I keep working out. It was one of those nights where I sat here yesterday and said okay I'm going to go to the store, then I'm going to go home and work out on Hank, then I will cook and clean.
As I was leaving work I was reminded that Biggest Loser was coming on. I didn't get to watch the last season because I taught on those nights so I wanted to see it. As a side note I'm kinda disapointed in the show these season. Anyway, me and my mom want to Walmart and then she suggested I stay and eat dinner with them since she had a roast cooking. I didn't get home until 10 and still had to put away groceries. And at that point I was thinking, this is life, it never goes how you plan it to go. How can I make plans to keep the weight off when life doesn't work that way? I'm hoping it was just a moment I was having and that I can get a routine going and keep it going.
I did do 15 mins on Hank and made it to 1.2 miles last night. I know people say you shouldn't work out at night and it can keep you away, but I seriously got off the ellipitical, got ready for bed, climbed in and was alseep with in 15 mins. I didn't get up as early as I should have this morning but I think I'm going to have to ease into getting up earlier. I did get up early enough to do another mile on the ellipitical. Of course after it I could have easily crawled back into bed again.
And now here I am at work, have eaten breakfast and am still tired. Where is that enengry you are suppose to have after a work out? I am so not feeling any yet. *yawn*
I wanted to go searching back in my old posts before posting my weight this week. I started on Sept at 157.2, was sitting at 151.2 the last Wednesday in December and my lowest weight in between the two was at 148.6.
Jan 6, 2010 - 153.6
So I'm officially starting the year off up from where I ended the year, but am still down 3.6 lbs from where I started in Sept.
My first goal weight is 127. I need to lose 26.6 lbs to reach that. 127lbs will put me into the healthy weight catergory for my BMI. When I reach that weight I will re-evaulate everything and see how much else I need or want to lose.
I started this journy 4-5 years ago, weighing in at 183. My lowest weight was 158. I am below that now, even though there were a few times I was creeping back into the 170s. I'm going to keep those figures in mind and keep it postive. Yes my weight is up from last month, but over all I am still down from where I was last year, the year before and the year before that.
I've said it before and I will say it again, 2010 is the year! ![]()
Yeah Tracy, I've often wondered where all the energy is too when I've worked out. I'm beginning to wonder if it's more a mind thing.
As for making plans and life then pulling you in a different direction, well, it happens. Main thing is to have fewer of those days and more of the planned ones. It will all balance out. It's at times like that when people start getting discouraged and think that plans and routines can't work. Not saying that you will do that, just saying that it can be discouraging to anyone who sits and makes specific plans for their day and suddenly, it's all blown to pieces. That's when we all need to stay focused and do better the next day. Wow, you and Hank are doing great.... I'm impressed. Oh, and I'm not real impressed with the first show of the Biggest Loser either. I'm really disappointed in the direction that it's going.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was disappointed with the first episode. I remember the first one where they had heavy people but the women weren't in the 300s and the men weren't in the 400 or 500s and they lost realistic amounts of weight each week. I totally get that the Biggest Loser is suppose to inspire people to get up off the couch and lose weight. But what happens when the average joe that has a job and kids and doesn't have all day for exercises tries to lose weight then only loses 2lbs and is disappointed because he sat there and watched the people on the show lose 13, 25 and even 34 lbs in one week??
It is becoming like every other show out there, all about the drama. I'll skip the drama, give me some real reality!
Okay help! I bought some ground turkey last night and I have no idea what I am going to do with it. It is the lean meat. I know you can sub it for beef in spaghettie and chilli and stuff, but does anyone else have a favorite recipe for ground turkey?
Welcome Moxey, sounds like you're off to a great start! ![]()
Way to go on the elliptical Tracey! I love your smart goals, they sound very very reasonable!!
I use ground turkey for everything, turkey burgers (on whole wheat of course), turkey meatloaf, turkey balls (lol), plus pasta sauces, chili, etc.
We are not big beef eaters, at all....
I need to update my ticker, it is completely false as shown below. ![]()
I weighed in yesterday and measured my waist, Here is my starting point for 2010:
Jan 6 weight: 176.6 lbs
Jan 6 waist: 38 inches (without any sucking in, whatsoever, lol )
Pant size: 32
Obviously my pant size won't be changing too often, but I was wearing a size 18 during the summer of 2008 and am happy to report that I have given all my sized 14 to 18 clothing to local charities!! Also went from a size XL (sometimes L) shirt to a size M!!!
I hope to reach a size 30 by the summer, and whatever weight and inch losses get me there I will be quite happy with.
My maximum weight was around 210 a couple years ago, and I started off 2009 at about 195, I ended 2009 around 170 but obviously ate way too much junk food and did way little exercising. I hope to get to 160 for now, that is my short term goal. When I get there, I will set a new goal!
I signed up for a half marathon training clinic so that will get me out running! I have not registered for a half marathon, but I might try one out during the spring or fall if I can be consistent with my training. My problem is definitely consistency. Sometimes I run 3-4 times a week religiously, then not for a couple weeks. I'm really hoping to stay dedicated to at least 3 runs a week during 2010!!!
I'm feeling positive so far, except work is crazy crazy busy, I am still making time for my exercise and working like crazy in between.
I'm feeling very overwhelmed and stressed due to my job but need to buckle down and concentrate on work and me. Hopefully my husband will pick up some of the slack at home when it comes to parenting and house work, but that is an entirely different issue....
Well I stood Hank up yesterday.
When I woke up yesterday morning my hip was bothering me so I really didn't feel like getting on the ellipitical. I did work and class last night with the idea of getting on it after class. At the end of class my parents called me and offered me free dinner out so I took them up on it. I got home right before 10pm with a full stomach and didn't think that would go over well on the ellipitical. I did go to bed early last night though.
I'm having a hard time getting up early and getting in a work out. This morning I woke up and just wanted to stay snuggled in the warm bed. Hopefully when I temps warm back up to something normal-ish for us I'll be able to get out of bed and get that work out done.
Except for dinner last night I did well eating yesterday. I just have to watch the mindless munching. I know that every time I start watching what I ate again I find myself feeling hungry all the time. I know I'm really not, so it is just a mental thing. I guess my mind says, "okay so you are thinking about how you are suppose to watch what you ate and eat well, well I'm going to make this hard for you, doesn't this sound good, and oh look at that pepperment bark sitting there just begging you to have some." Do I need to even mention today is donut day at work?
I bought one of those fabric tape measures (or is it measurers?) at Walmart finally. So this weekend I will take my measurements and probably take a picture as well.
No excuses tonight, I am getting on the ellipitical and showing Hank who is boss!
Katherine, I think you are doing great. Being down 25lbs for 2009 is awesome. And just think that is 35lbs total.
Sometimes we have to focus on what we have done and not what we didn't do. You lost 25lbs this last year. Sure of course you could have lost more, I could have lost more we all could have lost more, but... You could have also gained 25lbs and you didn't, or you could have sat at the same weight and you didn't. I think you should celebrate that 25lbs.
Tell hubby your fellow monkeys said he has to help so you can focus some time and enengry on yourself. When you become a better you for yourself, it will be a better you for all of them. ![]()
Have you thought that maybe signing up for a marthon will give you the motiviation to stay consistant on the running?
My brother just came through and offered me a torta for lunch. They are this yummy mexican sandwich that has beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, avacodos, and mayo on them. They are also the size of a plate! I kinda growled at him and he was like "uh never mind." I did opt for lunch with them though. I'm getting the little tacos. That way I won't be tempted to eat all of the plate size sandwich and am passing on the cheese and mayo stuff. Hopefully in the long run it is the healthier option.
I know I should go next door and get something from the freezer but it is only 20* out there and I really don't want to go back out in that cold cold weather! Sigh.
Hoping all the Monkeys are staying warm out there and gearing up for the weekend!
You show Hank who is boss!! ![]()
I think it is colder in Texas than it is here, 3 degrees today (that's Celsius!). That is crazy, we usually have snow and freezing cold here by now, not that I'm complaining, but the kids are (no sliding and skiing), and you are too!
Tracey, I really hope to sign up for a 1/2 marathon during 2010 and a marathon (a destination marathon) in 2011, but the thing right now is that in order to do one I would have to travel since there are none here until August... There is a very challenging 20km run in October that I have committed to training for this year too, last year I did two 16 km races, so I'm looking forward to doing those again to compare my time and fitness levels!!! I do have a couple friends/acquaintances/coworkers doing the clinic as well so I think they will definitely help me with the consistency! My coworker especially, she tracks me down in the building several times a week to see if I would like to run with her.
She is pressuring me into training for a triatholon now, but I really really need to work on the swimming thing. I can propel myself forward through the water, so that's a start right? lol!!!!
I am not at all depressed about putting some weight back on. I am feeling proud of all the runs I did last year and knowing that I CAN! ![]()
Everybody, have a WONDERFUL weekend. ![]()
We had a record low one day this week. We usually hit freezing a few times as our lows but usually warm up some for the high. It is 25* right now with a feels like of 14*. UGH!! You are more than welcome to have your cold back, do you think I can send it UPS?
I've decided I'm staying in this weekend, so I guess I will have plenty of time to show Hank who is boss. ![]()
I'm glad you aren't depressed about the gain because you have accomplished alot. I can't even imagine myself running any distance, let alone a 1/2 marthon! You go girl
Ugh, what a horrible eating weekend.
Went out for supper on Friday and ordered sensibly, we somehow lucked into a kid-free night on Saturday so we went out for supper and I ate horribly, then last night cooked a horrible meal of spring rolls and junk, so ate horribly again. Add that to the fact I didn't exercise since Friday.... *sigh* Hopefully I have redeemed myself by Wednesday morning! My weight was up today since last Monday, but I did lose a couple inches (from full body measurements).
Hey Katherine. You lost inches..... That's GREAT!!!!! I haven't measured myself in quite some time. I need to do that. Now, what did I do with my measuring tape? Hmmmm,
Geeez, you'd think that at my age, I'd be more organized.... I completed my first week of Weightwatchers online and had my first weigh in this morning. I knew that I would lose my water weight so the first week would be a good one on the scales. I did lose 6.6 pounds. Water weight or not, it all looks good on the scales.
I'm still working on getting the point system down. Hoping to make up some menus with the points value on them to make it even easier to see how I'm doing. It's been a great week and so far very easy to stay within my alloted points value. So week one down and I'm feeling good. How is everyone else out there doing?
Katherine, I think weekends are the worst when it comes to eating. I don't eat the three meals on the weekends cause I want to sleep in and all that.
I ate okay until last night then I hate too much. Sigh. You have three days until the official weight in. What the scale said today doesn't count. ![]()
Congrats on inches lost, that is always good!
Margie, woo hoo on the 6.6lbs. That is great! Glad that WW is working for you.
I have only missed one day with Hank since I started back Monday. I did arm exercises with weights with some squats twice and then crunchs and some leg lifts one night. It was really hard to do the ellipitical yesterday, my legs were just tired of something. They just didn't want to go. I acutally got off the ellipitical twice and starting over before I got the full mile in. Last night before bed I stretched before bed. My body is still a little sore today but I think it will get better.
I still haven't gotten my work out plan written out, but for now I'm just kinda playing around and figuring out what will work or not. I figure as long as I work out with Hank every day then add something else in, I'm doing pretty good, right? That is more than doing nothing at all. I want to head to Barns and Nobles and get a couple of books on works out to learn the dos and don'ts and all that.
I did take my measurements yesterday. I'm going to get my mom to do them for me as well to make sure I was accurate. They are currently written on a mirror in a dry erase marker, when I write them down I'll post them. Margie, I had to go buy a tape measure since I didn't have the fabric one at home. It was cheap at Walmart.
I will take some pictures this week.
I'm not sure I am going to manage the getting up and exercising first thing though. I am just not a morning person and my body says no way jose when the alarm goes off. As long as I get some time in, I'm not going to worry about when it is.
Welcome to a new week ladies! We can do this!
I started the 30 Day Shred this morning, wow, I am OUT OF SHAPE!!!! It didn't seem too bad the first few minutes, but my arms and legs were SHAKING by the time I was done! It is definitely a work out, and it's fun. Only 20 minutes, too!
When I started January 3, I was 177. Yesterday I was down to 173.5. Only 33.5 lbs to go! I haven't had a pop in 10 days, and surprisingly I don't miss it. I'm starting First Place 4 Health at church on Wednesday night, and am looking forward to the extra support and accountability. Just want to thank everyone here for the encouragement!
Congrats on the 3.5 pounds! Awesome!
I gave up drinking cokes several years ago. I have one now and then, but don't crave them any more. I had a couple over the holiday and they don't even taste that good. I actually lost just 3lbs alone by giving those up for a few weeks and doing nothing else. Of course I drank 4-5 a day.
Great job on doing the video. I have trouble working out with videos, though I own a few. Funny thing, you have to acutally use them to make them work for ya. HeHe.
So I am up teeny bit this week, but as I previously mentioned, I lost a couple all-over inches. Here are my stats thus far:
Jan. 6 weight = 176.6 lbs (waist=38, pants=32)
Jan. 13 weight = 177.2 lbs (waist=37.5)
Margie, congrats on the very impressive first week weight loss! ![]()
Flourgirlz, enjoy the 30 day shred!! Congrats on the weight loss so far, very awesome!! ![]()
Has anybody heard of the P90X workout? I've been debating trying it out, but not sure if it would be too much to handle with my running... I would have to do it at 5am in order to get it in and get showered then to work for 7. I would probably have to cut out my morning walks as well, which isn't tooooo big a deal as I can walk at lunch times. Hmmmmm.
Jan 6 - 153.6
Jan 13 - 151.2
2.4 down, 24.2 to go.
I'm sitting at the same weight that I was the last week of Dec, so it is really a re-loss not a loss. And I'm still up from the losest I got in Nov, but you know what, its is a new year so I'm counting from last Wed and not all the previous numbers. Of course I know when I get back down to 148 I'll be losing new weight and it probably won't be coming off as fast. That's okay. I can still do this.
So for today I'm celebrating the 2.4, and waiting to see what next week brings.
Last night I got off work and did a mile on Hank. Maybe next week I'll up it to over a mile, but I really didn't want to get to over zealous in the beginning and getting hurt or not doing it cause it was too hard. Even though the thing says I burned only 78-80 cals for the mile it is still a work out to me. I also did some arm workouts with weights again, and some squats. I really don't like doing squats. Sigh.
Katherine, I think I'd take the lost inches over lost weight any day. Atleast those are more noticable. ![]()
I haven't heard anything about the P90X workout. I will say if you can manager to get up at 5am to do it you will be my hero. I can't even talk myself out of bed at 6am to play with Hank.
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!
Thanks guys. I just love the first week weigh in. lol Now to get down to the reality of what to expect on the weekly weigh ins. I'd love to lose 2 pounds a week buuuuuut, we all know that sometimes no matter what we do, that scale has a mind of its own
After losing the initial first week's weight, I'm hoping for a loss of at least a pound come Monday. I figure 1-2 pounds a week is a good goal for me and I'll be happy losing that much. Yet, I know there will be times that I lose nothing or even gain a bit. Just gotta go with the flow cause the body will do what the body is ready to do. Gonna stay focused and it will all come together.
Tracy - wow, you gave up sodas all together? I have always been a heavy pepsi drinker. I mean from the time I could walk. I changed over to diet several years ago. Knowing that it is better not to have the artificial sweeteners, I've cut back a great deal but I still enjoy one glass in the evening while watching TV. But, I've been drinking lots of water. I need to make some tea. Haven't had that in a while.
Katherine - never heard of the P90X. I'm sure you could handle it though. You're pretty athletic. Let us know how it is if you decide to get it.
flourgirlz - please let us know how you are doing with the 30 day shred. I saw that the other day and wondered how it was. Sounds like fun but I doubt that I could even get through half of it. lol Congrats on the weight loss. You're doing GREAT!!
Tracy - wow, congrats on the 2.4 loss. That's GREAT!! And wow, you're already up to a mile on Hank. How awesome!! How long does it take to go a mile? I would think that it would burn more than 78-80 calories as well. When I start on our eliptical, If and when I ever get up to a mile, I'll see how long it takes and what the calorie burn is. Really, you are doing GREAT!!
Margie, I'll have a coke now and then. Had a few more than I normally would have over the holidays. I skipped over the diet versions and went to water because I knew that in the long run it is better for me than a diet coke. And if I went to diet cokes I probably wouldn't get near enough water a day. I will drink Diet Lipton Green Tea's in the bottles, but I try to limit those to one a day or so.
Right now with the weather being cold I got some of those lipton prymid teas and I have a glass of that with a sweet-n-low in it in the morning. I drink ice tea with sweet n low during the day. I bring a pitcher of it with me to work and figure in the long run that is cheaper than bottles of water all day. It has some flavor which I need, but doesn't have all the other extra stuff in it. ![]()
I don't think your one glass a night of diet pepsi is a bad thing as long as you are drinking other stuff doing the day.
It takes me between 12-13 mins to do the mile on Hank. I'm not really worried about the calorie burn on it. I know that the exercise, even the smaller amount, adds up in the long run. Plus I'm trying to add in other exercises to burn additional calories. I figure as long as I keep the amount of calories I am eating down the exercise is just bonus. ![]()
Hello ladies.
Tracy - Congrats on the weight loss. That's awesome.
I like that you named your eliptical. LOL I haven't been on the forums alot lately so I didn't see where you had decided on a name!
When I walk on my treadmill, I go 1 mile and burn 180 calories and it takes about 30 minutes going 3.0 mph. Your calorie burn seems mighty low. I wonder if it's the speed you are going. I"m just curious. I am pretty new to all this exercise stuff.
I am back down to 179. Since I messed up my knee I haven't been walking as much but I am losing the weight again.
At 5.0 ft, I'm almost as big around as I am tall. I carry all my weight in my butt and legs. I truly have a pear shape!
My hubby and I are planning to go to Plant City for the Florida Strawberry Festival in March so I would really like to see myself in some smaller/cuter clothes. I will get to see my family too, so being a little smaller would be nice.
You all motivate me... Make me work harder, knock me on the head or something!
Have a wonderful day!
My SIL actually picked the name but I like it. It sound kinda dirty in certain text, but that is the fun of it for me. At least if I am gonna do it I can try to make it fun.
I sent a friend a text the other night when I was on it saying "I hate this thing." And his reply back was "Hank?" It mad me laugh which is what I needed to finish up the mile.
I do only do Level 1, so maybe when I get into the higher levels or up the resistance I'll burn more calories. I don't take the numbers on the read out as if they are written in stone since there are many things that can factor into them.
I'm 5ft as well. Not a fun height when you are short that is for sure. I am thankful that I'm a hour glass figure, and seeing more of it ever day. My mom current carries most of her weight in the stomach area, and while she is around the weight I was before I started a few years ago, the weight looks/looked totally different on us.
I think we are all off to a great start mentally, and to me with out the right mind set we wouldn't make it very far. We can do this ladies. We are doing this!
I was cravy KFC grilled chicken yesterday so I went on line and got all the nutrition facts. I popped over to my WW site and was so pleased to find out the grilled breast is only 4 points! I paired that with some green beans (0 points) and a biscuit (4 points) and I was a happy girl. I had 13 points to spend for dinner and I was way below my goal for the day!
Talk about a happy girl. I rewarded myself with a WW ice cream (2 points)
The neatest thing, my husband saw me eating my ice cream and watching Idol and he started to tease me...... I jumped up and showed the box to him while he stood there with a bowl of regular all fat ice cream in his hand. My reply "That laugh is on you, big guy!"
How sweet it is! ![]()
I really like the WW online program. I look at recipes daily.
Does anyone use appetite supressants? Just curious. Which ones? Do they work?
Never used them myself but have looked at a couple.
Shelley - That is great to know about the KFC grilled breast. I'm putting that on my list for sure. I've been busy for the last 5 days entering my foods on Weightwatchers online. I've already reached my 100 foods limit and can't list anymore, darnit.... Anyway, I haven't really gotten into the Restaurant section yet. Sooooo much to learn. That's funny about the ice cream. I love the W.W. desserts. They are sooooo good. Just had their Oatmeal Raisin cookie which is only 1 point. Funny cause I really don't like raisins but these cookies are great. Gonna give their Blueberry muffin a try in the morning.... What's your favorites so far???
My favorites are the WW yogart with a breakfast bar. I eat alot of grapefruit with a sprinkle of splenda as a snack. (1 point)
One of the biggest changes I have made is when I make pasta I use whole wheat pasta instead of the white stuff. No change in taste but a huge change in calories.
I have some WW oatmeal raisin cookies in my desk drawer right now. I haven't tried it yet, but I really like the lemon cakes. They are only 1 point too.
My husband is from KY, I am from Florida and I was raised on Seafood. He was raised on meat. I recently found if I make Tilapia in lemon juice and olive oil in aluminum packets baked.... he will eat it without a fuss. Very easy on points too. I believe it's like 3 or 4 points. I have the recipe in my account.
Of course veggies are all 0 points and I eat alot of veggies.
