Hope everyone is doing o.k. health-wise. Sounds like ya'll have lots of fun company.

Good Morning Friends!

Busy here. I did get a lot of cleaning done. That's always a good thing.
When I started deep cleaning I realized that since the baby came 3 months ago, that I had not really done any cleaning other than just surface stuff. You know....dusting, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms kind of thing. Not the the behind the scenes stuff. lol
Funny, but I think we found something else in common...from your comments, I'm gathering that we are all cleaners?

My friend arrived safely. My husband kept the kids for me yesterday and I had the WHOLE day off to spend with her. I haven't taken a day for myself since the first week in February. It was a very nice day. I have a great husband!

lildeby I know that getting ready for surgery can get overwhelming. Hang in there.

Kly how great that your mom is stay for an extended visit. I'm sure you are enjoying her so much!

Honeydukes take it easy with all that cleaning and your back. I hate cleaning out the garage.

Janice how are you feeling? Do you feel like your making forward progress? or is it so slow you are wondering if you are making any?

I hope the DR gives her the ok to travel! There have been a few times she has wanted to visit and for one reason or the other the DR said no.(Crossing fingers!)

Goingto the lake w/ my DM andSDF today! My step dad has been trying so hard to get his boat seaworthy before my surgery. I am the only one who enjoys going out with him and knows enough about the boatto help him launch and dock it. Mom is terrified of water but she tries.

Good morning Ladies!!!

I was glad the site got an extension too. I sure hope it helps!

Jan---you better be taking it easy.

Lildeby---I love to fish!!! But we have had so much rain and the river is so high we are still waiting to take the boat out. So pond fishing is fine for now.

We went to the auction last night and as always had a fabulous time. I won a really, really old washboard. I'm going to take a pic of it today and post it for ya'll to see. One lady there is well into her 70's and said she had never seen one that old before...cool!

Ya'll remember the three puppies I rescued from the road several months ago? Well, the larger of the three (Sandy) has decided she is now an inside dog. It started earlier this week with her just coming in for a visit now and then. But now it's official...And what a smart dog she is! I swear she was an inside dog in a previous life. She even whines by the door when she wants to go out to the potty.

Have a wonderful day Ladies!!! clicks done

Kly- that is so cool that she house trained and everything so quickly! I bet those puppies are getting big the 2 I kept from little girls litter are!
I have exciting doggie news too!! My dog Jack came home! My DD took him to GA but I don't think she realized how much of a handful he would be. So when DH came home he brought him with him.He is such a good dog! He loves people and when you go out he stands up and puts his paws around your shoulders and gives you hugs! LOL!
Dr. appt. and pre admit to hospital today. Surgery on weds.

lildeby, all the best to you for your surgery, and a speedy recovery!

I'm doing pretty well, taking things slowly, and resting a lot. DS did my grocery shopping yesterday, he is doing so much to help me! I don't like the physical therapy, but guess it is necessary to try to build my strength. This surgery sure leaves you with a nasty scar...not that anybody is likely to see it. LOL

I talked with Honeydukes yesterday (it turns out we are almost neighbors...at least by Texas standards.) She is a sweetie, and it was really good to visit with her!

Lildeby---were you able to get a computer in your room? I hope so. I'd hate not hearing from you! Jack must be a rather large dog. I love big dogs!!!

this will be my last post for awhile ladies! icon_cry.gif I doubt i will have time before I leave for the hospital tomarrow! So keep clicking. If everything goes wel I will get to come home friday night but yesterday they said that the first week is REALLY bad! thumbsdown.gif I am gonna talk my DH into bringing the computer in there after I get home. They said I will not be able to sit upright in a chair for a couple of weeks at least. but within 10 days I should be walking 1/2 a mile a day!
Veejay I am so glad that your DS is helping you. I was worried you wouldn't have anyone to care for you but it sounds like your son is stepping up. Keep on getting better. The scar is bad but it will fade some in time.
Kly- yes Jack is a huge dog!! He is supposed to be one of the largest breeds of dogs... but I think his abusive puppyhood stunted him a little. He is still big but nowhere near what he should be. He's a Great Pyranese. I love big dogs too! That's why I have Jack then 2 rottweiler's and two rott puppies!!
Well ladies I hope to be back on line soon but know... I am thinking of you and missing ya'll everyday that i am not!

Hey, VJ!! So good to talk to you!

Kly, it sounds like you go to a lot of really cool auctions. Is your mom still visiting?

Ohara, have fun with your company. A month??!! You must have nicer friends and family than we do! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I'm thinking about taking tomorrow off. We will be super busy Friday and Saturday due to the first part of the month plus the store is having a 2-day sale. So...I'd really like to take tomorrow off to rest up.

There were a couple of nerve problems that they didn't see on the mri but the dr took care of them.I have to walk every day a little bit. but that is the only exercise I am allowed to do.
Sounds like everyone has been very busy latley. I have to sit on the computer and behave my DH is running to the store.(First time he has left me since I had surgery and not happy about it.)But we are out of bread and I want a roast beef sandwich so he is going!!

lildeby I am so glad that you posted and let us know how you are doing. I hope you heal quickly(((((hugs))))) gentle ones of course.
Be good and follow Dr.s orders.

Janice I hope the physical therapy helps you feel better in the long run. So sorry to hear that it hurts right now. Do they come to you to do the therapy?

Honeydukes that is so cool that you got another bike. Mine is not getting much use, at least not at this time. There are a lot of people that I could not have here for a week let alone a whole month. My friend is a great house guest.

Kly I just have to say how envious I am that you are getting to have your mom for an extended visit. I hope your weekend is not to busy.

We spent the day today at Special Olympics. It was a beautiful day here. Very sunny and warm. I am tired from being in the sun so long. I am wondering if my family would notice if I didn't fix dinner?! LOL
Tomorrow we are going to a graduation party in the afternoon and evening, so I won't have to worry about cooking. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Hello Ladies one and all!!!

Lildeby---I am so glad you are able to communicate with us. I really hope you have a speedy recovery. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Jan---I know the therapy must be painful, but in the long run it will help you.

Ohara---it is great having my Mom here. She has really enjoyed going to work with me and helping out in the bakery. She never meets a stranger so she loves talking to all the customers and everyone else that works in the store.

I do have some crappy news tho...one of my decorators is quitting icon_cry.gif This Wednesday is her last day. So till I find someone else it's just me and my daughter decorating. My work load will triple!!! Not to mention I'll be working my poor child to death icon_twisted.gif

Decorators are hard to come by in this little town I live in, but hopefully someone will come along...As I always say, Everything happens for a reason.

Hey everybody!

Lildeby, so glad to hear from you! Your DH sounds like a good guy. I'm so happy you finally got your surgery, now please take it easy!

KlyKat I would love to work at your bakery, but I'm really slow. I don't think I'd make it a bakery that was busy - ever - at all! icon_lol.gif

Wow, Ohara, I love to watch the Olympics, but I've never seen the Special Olympics. I wish one of the networks would air them. I think it would be very educational, not to mention inspirational for a lot of people.

VJ, sounds like you got a good therapist. I think my DH's therapist (years ago) was fired from the Marines for being too mean!

We went on our first serious (but light) ride yesterday. It was hot, but there's a good amount of shade. I'm sore mostly in the neck, shoulders and hips. They only part not hurting too badly is my back -- go figure!! I wish we could find a bake trail that had a bit more shade and no uphills! icon_lol.gif DH says we could, but he'd hafta ride back, get the truck and pick me up! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Told him there might come a day!

Sunday clicks!

VJ, did you see the kitty on the Animal clicking page?? She looks a little like your kitty on your avatar.

Today is my last Sunday off for who knows how long. That is unless my dear, sweet, precious daughter will work some Sundays now and then.

I love to ride bikes. We have a set but they are in desperate need of a good cleaning and maintenence.

My Mom cooked Stuffed Bell Peppers for us today and they were so good. I started MyAlli diet today so I only ate a small one and some steamed squash.

All I can do about them is go outside and walk around! (Luckily I live in a small neighborhood) so everyone totally understands and doesn't get offended by me walking around in my pajamas!! LOL! At least 3 times a day I have to go out.
Kly I would love to come work in your bakerey!! Too bad the commute would be so long! LOL!!
Special Olympics are great! We used to take clients from oakwood out every year! There is such a since of pride and accomplishment when they go and come home with thier medals!! One of my clients took gold in swimming every year! He has thrilled!! He is in a wheelchair but man he could swim!!!
