The bf and I are suppose to be on a 4-day off weekend, but somehow I work from 7am-2pm today and have to go in tomorrow morning to do a large order for petite fours...oh well!!!

My brother and his wife are leaving on a cruise tomorrow to Mexico. I wish so badly they were bringing Tori (my 2yo niece) to stay with me!!! It wouldn't be that far out of their way...let's see, Tampa by way of Mississippi from Georgia???
But I will see them in 24 days

I talked with mother last night. She is not happy in the hospital (big surprise there!) and wants to go home. I hope they won't let her go until they have figured out a way to help her.
SIL is going daily to counseling (she calls it Adult Day Care) and talked to DB about being able to go back to work next week...I don't know about that, a week doesn't seem like a lot of time in counseling.
As expected, our weather got hot, hitting 80's and windy along with it, so everything is very dry again so we are in danger of fires. Those fires are really awful on the coast, and it seems most people had very little warning to get out of the way. Very sad.
Janice I hope that SIL is really ready to go back to work. At least she is getting up and out of the house.
I'm sure your mother is not happy being at the hospital...but hopefully they will be able to help her. I will keep praying for them both!
Our weather turns real warm here today. We are supposed to get up to 80. I am really looking forward to it. It is supposed to be nice here all the way till Tuesday. I hope they are correct about that.
No bike ride yesterday...as soon as it was warm enough to get out...the baby got fussy. Oh well, today is another day.

Hi ladies!!! I am back! I have had a stomach virus! VERY nasty!!! Threw up so much I cleaned all my pain meds out of my system. Had to go to hospital and get I.V. fluids for severe dehydration and I.V. pain meds to get my back under control! MISERABLE!!
Ladies I have a problem....I hope you can advise... I have these 2 roommates a 22 yr old man and 22 yrold woman(dating) well he got drunk and choked her last night!!!! Then left and ran over my neighbors mailboxes ect...Anyway when he was choking her he woke up my daughter and she saw the whole thing!!! I am soooo mad. My husband and I have worked hard to shelter her from exposure to violenece. I want him to leave but I want her to stay and get away from that.. (I know she won't)Anyway here lies the problem... My DH is out of town and when I confront him about this I am afraid he will get violent again.
I can't wait for DH to get home he is not due back for another week.
What am I gonna do? I love them both to death but he has a serious problem!! I know in the end if she won't stay I will probably let them stasy just to try to protect her but I also know I can't do that for my DD sake!! HEEELLLLLLP!!!!!

Call the police, not 911, explain what is going on and see if/when they will send someone out to be there while you talk/confront this guy. If they are paying you rent, then expect them to have renters rights...not sure how this works in your area. But I think you need to involve the police for yours and your daughters safety. Keep us posted on what is going on.
I hope you feel much better soon. You have sure had a rough time of it.

Lildeby---Ohara took the words right out of my mouth. What an awful situation. You said he is violent when he is drinking but is he that same way sober?
Ohara mentioned renters rights. Im not sure about that either, but you should be able to get him out of there because of the drinking and violence, especially with a children present. You may HAVE to give him a notice that would be the only delay getting him out.
Please keep us informed!!! Also, so sorry about your illness, gosh what a week you have had!!!
Jan---I can imagine your Mom does feel pretty upset, but she is in the best place she can be to get her help. And your SIL, well maybe going back to work is what she needs. But I do agree one week of therapy is a pretty short session.
This is the 2nd day of my 4 day weekend and YES I AM AT WORK!!! But only till lunch...Oh well!!!

Thanks for the advice ladies!!!I have gotten the situation under control. I talked to them calmly when they got up and explained to them that I could not have that kind of violence in my home and around my child. That there were many things I would tolerate but that was NOT one of them.Then I told them they needed to find a place to move within the next three days. They understood and took it very well. They will be moving. I offered her a chance to stay and get away from the violence and of course she forgave him and said he was just drinking and that's how he gets and he promised he wouldn't do it again...... blah blah blah. 
So they will be moving in the next couple of days.
and kly no he is the sweetest person ever when he is sober..he just has a SERIOUS problem with alcohol. And you can see when he goes about a week without drinking he gets really grouchy! That kind of people I don't need in my home.

Well, I do have very exciting news. Remember the other day I told ya'll my db and SIL were going on a cruise? Turns out my db and niece came here to surprise me 
Everybody knew about it but me!!! My bf made an excuse to go to Jackson Friday to Office Depot and he picked them up from the airport.
All the plans worked out just perfect. I had come in Friday morning to do paperwork and an order of Petite Fours, so my bf knew I wouldn't be going to Jackson with him. So I get called to the back of the store and when I came back up to my office there they were!!!!! I was so excited 
They are here till Monday afternoon, yippee for me!!!

My roommates moved out yesterday!!! WOOT WOOT!! When they got up I told him that when my DD got up she would undoubtedly have an attitude with him and that he need not get mad like he usually does.He did this to himself and he needed to be a man and deal with it or leave...so they packed and left! I knew she would stay with him.
I wish she would get out now! I know he isn't gonna change. He started out saying he wasn't gonna drink anymore then within 24 hours he was saying he isn't gonna drink liqour anymore! Yeah right.

Our beautiful weather is gone too. The rain just started, but I'm at work inside so I guess it's okay.
Lildeby---here in Yazoo City there is a cemetary downtown and it is soooo old. There are graves from the early 1800's. Also, John Hancocks 2 grandson are buried there. And there is one section that has 700 soldiers bury there from the Civil War. It was the War of Old Benton Road.
Some of the headstone are not even readable anymore. It's a shame because no one knows who's there anymore to acknowledge them.

Kly- I love old cemetaries... some you think you can't read but if you smear shaving cream on them you can get something off of it!Then others have just been too worn by time! What is the name of the cemetary? I will look it up and see if there is any informatuion on the internet about it. Civil war cemetaries are great too. Alot of times you can find out alot on soldiers. There are alot of military archives available online. The stones that are so worn you can no longer read them are part of the reson I do find a grave.... in 80 years people will be able to look at the site and see who is buried there if thier stone is illegible.

There are two famous people at Glenwood cemetary! An author and The Witch of Yazoo County.Someone put alot of time and alot of love into doing this cemetary. Almost every person(721) according to the site has a picture and a biography. That is alot of time sitting at the computer!!! Not to mention out there taking photos! It is a very intresting place!Thanks KLY!!!!

I am disappointed today. My DH got more work for next week so he isn't gonna come home this weekend and the boys aren't coming either! I miss all of them and was really excited about seeing the boys. Oh well, maybe next weekend.

Today is a pretty busy one for me. The Jerry Clower Festival is today here in the big town of Yazoo City. It's a really big event every year for YC. We cater the event for the children's festivities and later in the evening cater for the bands and the overall festival organizers. It's alot of fun, but alot of running back and forth.
