Janice, I hope you are feeling better.

Cold here this morning, but the sun is shining! Tomorrow will be warmer. I am taking our youngest daughter to the zoo tomorrow. She is on spring break this week.
My son is doing ok. His spring break is over. He's back to work and school this week. The biggest problem we are dealing with right now with him, is that his car is a stick shift, and he can't drive it.
It's a small 2 door, so DH isn't going to drive it and it really doesn't have room for a car seat so that rules me out. So we will car juggle for a while. Easier since DH is still unemployed.

Well it's Monday, so it's laundry, cleaning and off to the grocery store. Have a good day ladies.

I have broken out in a rash everywhere so I had to go to the dr again yesterday and got yet ANOTHER shot!
Sorry you're not feeling well vj!I hope you get better soon. icon_razz.gif
Ohara I love the zoo!! I wish I lived closer to one I would take my DD! Even at her age she would have a blast!!!

We are lucky to have an amazing zoo within a 45 min. drive. There was a new baby elephant born last Friday, so we are excited to see him!

I'm okay, it seems like my problem is mostly allergies, so the throat hasn't gotten worse but is still irritated. Thanks ladies, for asking.

Nothing new on SIL, and my mother seems to be doing better, has been sounding good and in a good mood when I call her.

You all are doing some fun things, good for you. Hopefully the weather with continue to allow you to be outside!

Lildeby, Good Grief!! Hope the shot works for you.

VJ, glad to hear about your mom. I saw on some morning show doctors saying how you cannot get sick from the weather yo-yoing -- 70 to 30 and such. Really?? I always manage to get a sore throat and the sniffles, DH, too.

I hope everyone gets to feeling better. Hope the weather clears up.

Glad to hear you are feeling better VJ!
Yes honeydukes that is true-Just like the wives tale about going outside with your hair wet! People don't get sick from temperature fluctuations. Bacteria viruses and allergies! It is coincidental that people get sick in the spring and fall- because that is when then weather fluctates so much but it is usually the pollens ect causing respritory symptoms ect...
I tried to post a whole big rant yesterday! (Lucky for ya'll it didn't work) After I typed it all and submitted my computer froze and it wouldn't go!
My best friend is getting married and asked me to do her cake then changed her mind cause her sister wanted to TRY to do it. It was a much longer story yesterday but just typing it helped me see through the emotion and get over it a little.my feelings were VERY hurt by the way she handled it. But I've decided AFTER her wedding I will take it up with her.I do love her and don't want her wedding day to be clouded by something I might say about her cake!

I agree with waiting to talk to her about it, that's very noble of you to think of her!!!

We are in the process of re-arranging the bakery today, so it is totally a mess right now. That's why I'm at my desk on the computer icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif I'm very pleased with what they have done so far...change is good sometimes thumbs_up.gif

I can't believe it's Friday already.

DD and I had a great time at the zoo. It was a really long day. She had such a good day though, so that's what matters.

The baby had his visit with his mom in the morning yesterday and I had scheduled myself to give blood in the afternoon so we were in town all day! I was glad to get home, but then there was dinner to make and bottles to wash. ha!

My dad called yesterday. He sounded good. I am thinking of going home...Illinois, next week for his birthday. It is just so much effort with my DD and the baby. We'll see. He's worth the effort though. I'll have to see if I can work out all the details.
We had a couple of really nice days here....but they are gone. We are also expecting snow on Monday. Spring icon_wink.gif

Ohara---I'm glad you and DD had such a good day. I love the zoo!!! Glad to hear your Dad is well also!!!

I actually have the weekend off, yippee for me icon_lol.gif I'm trying to rotate the schedule so everyone has a weekend off. So far it's working out thumbs_up.gif I plan on cleaning house and RE-planting a couple of my newly planted flowers that the 3 precious little puppies decided to dig up and carry around the yard icon_cry.gif They are getting so big!!!

Then tonight myself and BF plus another manager from work and his wife are going to the auction. It's one of those country auctions where people bring all sorts of items to auction off. I haven't been to one in years. I'm hoping to find some really neat things, of course at a very good price icon_razz.gif

Our weather is doing a complete turn-around also. It has been beautiful the past 2 days and suppose to be for today and tomorrow, but then Monday-Wednesday night it's down in the 30's icon_eek.gif Crazy, I tell ya, just crazy!!!

Aww, the zoo. Haven't been in ages.

A country auction sounds awesome. Count me in!

Sorry, lildeby, I'm with him. I get a little sick every time -- sore throat and sniffles.

Sounds like everybody is having fun. We still haven't finished our errands. icon_cry.gif

We went to the creek yesterday and found a little turtle. We brought him home and named him fred. I am having trouble finding out what kind he is and what he eats on the internet. If we don't soon I will have to take him back to the creek where he can survive. He is so cute though!!!

We had a great time at the auction. We stayed till it was over at about 11:30pm. I got a beautiful old, handmade (stitched) quilt for $18. I couldn't believe it went so cheap. The bf got man stuff...tools, trailer lights, blah, blah, blahicon_smile.gif

Our weather is suppose to turn cold starting tomorrow, it's cool right now and misting rain. But I plan to stay in and watch the race so it can do whatever it wants outside. Except the bf is grilling shish-kbobs, so I hope it doesn't rain too much.

Lildeby...turtles are really cute. I've never had one but I think they eat green leafy stuff. And make sure everyone washes up after handling him. I know they can carry salmonella.
