Snow here today also. Cold and yucky....the good news is it won't last icon_wink.gif
At least the forecast is sunny on Easter...cold, but sunny. My daughter is supposed to wear a spring skirt and sandals. We'll see she may have to wear her winter boots until we get to church.

The baby has a doctors appointment tomorrow. I bet he is almost 10lbs now. He seems to have grown every time I look at him. He is starting to coo...I LOVE when they do that.

I hope every one stays warm. Think spring!

I love the cooing stage too. Ten pounds sounds great, he was pretty small at birth, wasn't he? You definitely are taking good care of that little one!

They are still predicting a wet, cool Easter Sunday here.

Well on top of my already busy week I have 8 photo request for monuments on find a grave in my area I need to go out and do!It is a very nice concept-virtual cemetaries! Designed for people who either can't get out or loved ones who live far away ect.. Especially for people who do geneology. I go to local cemetaeries and take photos of headstones then put them online.Check out findagrave.com you never know your loved ones could be there or you can ask people to post them.
I miss having a baby around! I LOOOOOOVE the babies! Thier so pure and sweet!

I love babies too!!! I want grandchildren SO badly, but my DD is only 20 and single. So I guess I just have to wait. Oh well...

The weather is mediocre here. At least the sun was shinning yesterday. It was 55 in the afternoon. I think that is what today will bring also.
Don't you just hate the high winds. We had so much of that this winter! Listening to the wind howl drives me crazy.

Janice, I hate when the weather is yuck on Easter, but that is what it is more often than not. It is still supposed to be cool but sunny. We'll see....they change the forecast every time you check it. ha!

I was wrong, the baby didn't weigh 10lbs. He is 8lb 14oz and 20" long. The doctor said he looks real healthy. He got 2 shots in one leg and 1 shot in the other. Poor baby. He did really well with it though.

Youngest daughter (12 yr old) came home from school sick yesterday. DH had to go get her because I was at the doctors with the baby. I hope she is better today. She will want to go to school either way...we'll see what today brings.

lildeby what a great thing that you do with find a grave. I'm sure it is such a blessing to others.

kly....I also look forward to grand babies. Then I don't have to do all the middle of the night stuff and yet get to love on them and enjoy them, shop for them....but I'm with you...my oldest daughter is 20 and single and no where ready for such a responsibility, so I'll wait.

Honeydukes....what's new with you?

We 3 have 20 year old, how cool. My DD LOVES children!!! Her bestfriend if a couple of years older than her and has 2 little girls and my DD is just mad about them. She will be a great Mom someday.

I have to work Easter. I chose to so my employees could be off to be with family. Hopefully I'll be out-a-here about 2pm. DD's bf is bringing the girls over to hunt eggs.

Lildeby---that is very interesting what you do. Not in a weird way, but I have also loved cemetaries. There's just so much history in them. In Savannah we have some really, really old ones. Cemetaries are very peaceful to me.

I too enjoy the cemetaries they are soooo peaceful and there is alot of history there. All the ones I did yesterday were early 1900's like 1901 to 1920. Very interesting. Check out findagrave. They have intresting monuments, a civil war section famous graves ect...There is one on there that is a 6 foot tall globe(a teacher) that reads the world was her classroom. It is neat.
Sorry you have to work on Easter Kly but it was really sweet of you to consider your employees and thier families. Alot of companies don't.

Funny....I also enjoy cemeteries. When we were in Savannah last year we spent the day at Bonaventure. What a beautiful place. It was early march and flowers were starting to bloom. A must see for any visiting the city. I also spent the better part of the day at a cemetery in New Orleans. I love old cemeteries as well. So much history.

My Dh and I stood in our front yard and video taped from beginning to touchdown of a tornado that was about 5 miles away from us!!I sent a picture from the video to the news and they are sending it to the national weather service.
Mean time my dd was on the school bus and they pulled over because they were going toward it. She was only about a mile from it and they saw the actual touchdown!! What a birthday!

Wow! icon_eek.gif that is a heckava way to blow out a candle! Is everyone o.k.? That is fascinating about the "Find a Grave." Do people request for you specifically to go look for graves? Or is it more like CC and someone just puts out the request? I guess I should go and take a look. I've always wanted to see the cemetery in New Orleans. It's in so many books, movies and videos.

"He is starting to coo..." Awww, Ohara, that sounds so sweet. I miss the babies and I really miss that "baby smell." Is there anything better?

You are sweet to work on Easter, KlyKat. It was one of the few days we ever had off.

VJ, is there a reason you can only sleep for such a short time? And how about your computer -- better?

It's supposed to be rainy here on Easter, too. We're hoping to go for a ride -- on my new bike!! I've wanted a new one for a while, but with things getting tight I thought it'd be Christmas at the earliest. But my DH went ahead and ordered the bike O' my dreams. I always had hand-me-down bikes. The only new I ever got, my brother wrecked. It's so pretty and easy to ride. I have a bike I ride to the store, but it's old and rickety. This one is very smooth and quiet. Love it - love it - love it!

Everyone have a wonderful Easter! icon_biggrin.gif

Honeydukes, I've been "sleep deprived" for years, with short sleep spans and it seems the older I get the shorter the time I can sleep. You'd think I'd get used to it, but haven't, it still bugs me that I can't sleep like most other people.

The computer seems to be okay, thank goodness. I've heard complaints from other friends who are also having problems, and in general it appears that conflicker thing may be giving some of the problems.

It is raining here now, right now quietly, but the storms are coming later, and it has cooled down to the 50's.

Cemetaries are very peaceful and beautiful. I enjoy being there. some are really sad when you find just a rock w/ no name or broken.. That's why I like taking my DH...if it is broken he lays it down and puts it back together or stands them back up. Very helpful.
Kly I hope work isn't too much today and you do get to go home and spend easter w/ your family.

Happy Easter ladies. We have had a nice day. It's cool here but the sun is shinning. We went to early service at church this morning and then out to lunch. Special day for me. My children were all together. It only happens a couple of times a year, so I try to enjoy it when it does. I miss the years when they were little and enjoyed the new Easter clothes, and Easter egg hunts. They do still all expect baskets with candy! ha
My husband watched the baby this afternoon and I got to take a 2 hour nap.
I feel so much better.

Janice I completely understand the sleep deprived thing. Not to the degree that you are experiencing... but tired none the less. I hope you had a good day. What's up with your sister in law?

lildeby your daughter birthday cake is really cute. I love the heart shaped clouds. What a birthday she had. What a great picture. Funny that her cake was a rainbow, with the weather you had that day.

Honeydukes I think that a little babies breath must be what heaven smells like. How do they smell so good?

Thanks for asking about my SIL. Her firm has given her a disability leave, so she can keep her insurance and retirement, while giving her time to get some counseling for depression and possibly for the cancer as well. They definitely don't want her to leave, so they are doing whatever they can to give her a break so hopefully she will come back full time and healthy. Good people to work for, but she works really hard for them too.

Honeydukes, I have a new bike as well. It is my first ever new bike. I only had used before. I have only gotten to ride mine twice. I had hoped for today....but rain today. That's ok...it is supposed to be very nice here in a couple of days. I hope you get to enjoy your new bike soon. Very nice of your DH to get it for you icon_wink.gif

Kly...What's on the schedule this week? As little as possible. I start the week out with this hope each week. HA! I have to take the baby into town Tue and Wed for visit with his mom. It is 31 miles so I really have to stay...so I try to run errands. So that takes up most of those two days. I am trying to get some stuff done here at the house so I'm hoping for nothing else to "pop up".
I am getting a new "used" refrigerator this week for the garage. Which means that the garage has to be cleaned out to make room. This will be a HUGE job.

Ohara, yes SIL is going back to what she calls "adult day care" for counseling. She went for a while last year after her mom and her SIL passed away within a few weeks of each other, and she got so depressed. They helped her then, hopefully they can do it again. She is paralegal for one of the largest law firms in the country, and they value her a lot, and have been really good to her, especially this past year when she has had such a time.

sounds like everyone had a good easter! I went out to an old forgotten cemetary and photographed all the interments there. The cemetary is not even in the registry for the county so I will submit it to them when I am done. There were alot of rocks there with no names. Always disappointing makes you feel like they have been forgotten. Then I cooked dinner for my family.
Yesterday I had to go do a deposition on my back injury. icon_confused.gif I did not enjoy that. I consider myself to be moderatly intelligent and everything that came out of my mouth sounded soooo dumb! Alot of ers, wells, and umms. Aggervating!
Kly i'm glad your easter was good even after working.
Ohara-how do you do it? Take the baby to see mom? It would irritate me to no end to take a child to see a woman who neglected it to begin with! I know the courts are for reunification but it would make me so mad!Odds are she hasn't changed in this short of a time just playing a role for the courts! Sorry I delt with this with my cousin and 6 years later she just still plays the role for the courts hasn't gotten her kids back makes big promises to them and breaks thier hearts!! It really enrages me that people take thier children for granted!
