Casey I'm in the Tri-Cities. Richland to be exact. Hanford is our main economic support (people have usually heard of our little nuclear plant out here) You have family thighs....ours is the tummy pooch from one side and hips from the other icon_mad.gif aaahhh genetics.

My hubby is a big NJ Devils fan. We've got a WHL team here and we watched Gomez play up close and in person so he started watching them when he was drafted but now he Loves Marty Brodeur. Vancouver, never been, but we always talk about going, heard there is an awesome aquarium there.

Okay glad I decided to preview - you all started posting while I was babbling on about hockey. Good Call Out Shellie, that was the first thing I thought when I was reading Merissas post. Back sliding happens to us all and I swear I personally spend more time on my butt then sitting on the wagon. Hang in there.

Ive been sooo naughty this past weekend!! So if anyone needs slapped around it's me!! My beloved uncle passed away early Thursday a.m. (my DH, DS and I were the last to see him alive, so we have that small comfort!) So with helping my auntie get things around for visitation and funeral, I haven't felt much like cooking or exercising. We have been eating out alot and then of course the ladies made excellent food for the funeral dinner and since I hadn't been eating very well or much, I kinda pigged out at the dinner. Oh, well, it's a new day!! A new chance to start fresh and try again to get in the groove!! Good -luck everyone this week and HUG your loved ones!!

Thanks, 2sdae!! Hey, I was noticing your avatar pic and was wondering if that is your final from the gumpaste/fondant class??? Mine is due tonight and I've no desire to mess with it but I wanted to let you know that I love your cake and hope I get moving today to get mine ready for class. We have to combine nights
3 and 4 since we had to cancell a night due to weather.

Christeena, very sorry to hear about your loss. We all here are thinking of you!

Okay okay, I shouldnt have said I was a loser. I think though I said I FELT like a loser. That's better right? icon_lol.gif

Anyhow okay 3 good things about myself...hmmm

Well I have been working out and today I ran 4 miles. That's right. I said FOUR MILES. Without stopping! Plus I walked an additional mile and a half or so. That is really a record for me. Last year I couldnt even run a mile. I am not a runner but I was thinking maybe I would try one of those 5K runs. We have the coast guard festival here in the summer that is a pretty big deal around here and they have a 5 and 10K run I think. 10K would be pushing it. LOL! Anyway I am proud of my improvement with my exercising and endurance.

I am proud of my cake decorating

I think I am a good friend, mother and wife.

So anyone else thinking of saying negatively of themselves can jump in. It has been awhile since we have said positive things about ourselves.

O.K I'll jump in too.

1. I really think I am caring and love to help anyone.
2. I am an accomplished mother, wife, nurse.
3. I have lost most of my weight since I was 250 lbs. and have reclaimed my health from what it was.

Alrighty...NEXT!

Christeena, you're still in my prayers for your loss. Forgive yourself for the 'stress eating', it's definitely allowed.

You're right, Merissa, you did say you felt like a loser, but we're not going to allow that either!! LOL WOW, I can't believe how much you're running, that is awesome!

I'm going to jump in with the positive things, because I've been feeling quite useless and discouraged lately with my back issues. There are so many things I want to do and I keep thinking if I just pushed a little harder, maybe I could get them done...

1. I am a good mother, I know this by looking at my outstanding kids!
2. I have done a good job of maintaining my daily responsibilities despite my back injury. I have kept on trucking, when many people would have given up.
3. I am a kind person

C'mon ladies! Let's toot our own horns!!

O.K girls I'm on here to prevent snacking. I am making 3 dozen nfsc and making lasagne for dinner. So to combat eating the raw cookie dough or chowing down on lasagne loaded with 3 cheeses and sausage and ground meat I am munching on 2 apples I sliced up and dried apricots while it's all cooking. So I figure if I fill up on these good things I won't have too much room for the tempting stuff. icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif
Send me all your will power as I have to make a caramel-chocolate chunk cheese cake covered in chocolate ganache for MIL's birthday tomorrow!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Christeena so sorry for your loss. Your so right about taking the time for your loved ones.

I'm going to jump in with three things because I caught myself scowling over my jeans as I folded the laundry. I didn't say anything out loud but I thought it.

I am a good mother and my dh even complimented me the other day it was something along the lines of "you must be doing a good job, our kids aren't that screwed up." He's such a sentimental mushy guy. I call him Homer Simpson when he talks like that.
I'm a good support system for my friends and family.
I'm a great baker.

Tuesday you have to stop writing in for support icon_lol.gif LOL Whenever you explain what your avoiding it sounds SOOOO GOOD. I've gotten in the habit of only having things in the house that I can resist or hiding them in places I never go (like the fruit crisper) icon_razz.gif

Finish your apples then brush your teeth and eat a piece of gum. As far as tomorrow goes, I'd plan on a little piece - but I'm a push over icon_redface.gif

lasanga sounds really really really good. I havent made it in a long time. I am making like a sauted shrimp, which i really like a lot though, plus it is good for the diet. So I am okay for dinner.

I am finishing up course 3 tomorrow and so I will have a ton of cake for no reason to eat. (the 10 and 6 inch icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif ) I have to find people to give it to.

So sorry for your loss Christeena. You and your family will be in our thoughts.

Yikes, I am the queen of negative self thoughts ( if that makes sense ). I've really been trying to be better. Sooo....

1. I am a great mother and wife.
2. I am kind, caring and compassionate.
3. I can and I will win this battle with my weight.

*think positive* *think positive* *think positive*

DIE FAT CELLS, DIE!!!!

Mmmmm, lasagne, nfsc, chocolate-caramel chunk cheesecake covered in ganche. Okay now that I've cleaned up all the drool, I will probably be having steak and salad. That sounds good, now if I can not snack until then I'm good to go. Oh I should be exercising right now, I just put dd for a nap. Stop Procrastinating!!!

edited to say great instead of good!

Christeena, I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. Eating is the least of your worries right now.

Tuesday, where's that party tomorrow???

Merissa, you're NOT a loser, even if you feel that way sometimes. We all have negative thoughts about ourselves (ok, at least I do) and at times like these we need to re-focus on the positive. I like the naming good thoughts idea thumbs_up.gif DH gave me a great compliment tonight - he said I look skinny icon_eek.gif I think his vision needs adjustment, because I'm a good 25 pounds away from skinny, but there has been improvement. He was happy for me that I'm doing so well with this @#*$! diet icon_biggrin.gif

It's here! No cheat WED!!!!! And my caramel-chocolate chunk cheesecake is baking as we speak. Smells so goooooooooood! But suprisingly I wasn't even tempted. Kinda felt yuck about it. icon_confused.gif Guess the thought of all the work I'd have to do to loose what calories and fat that cake represents to me just turned me off. icon_eek.gif Now let's see if I can keep this atttitude. Oh, last night I baked myself a skinless, boneless chicken breast and steamed me some carrots and had that instead of Lasagne so if I do snitch a piece of cake I have not combined those good ol cheese and pasta calories with it to doom my weight loss. party.gifparty.gifparty.gifparty.gif <Doin the "I did a good food choice dance!!!!"> icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Congrats on the good food choice, Tuesday!! thumbs_up.gif I had hot dogs and french fries for dinner last night. I got lazy this week and bought groceries for quick and easy dinners that I knew the kids would eat. On the up side, I've been kicking the evening snack monster's butt!! party.gif I've been working on some fondant figures for DS's birthday cake, and they're taking up all my time. But I finished them last night, so I have to start another project, I guess. Gotta keep those hands busy!!

I ALMOST didnt get up to go to the gym this morning, felt guilty and so I went. Then I met up with this guy at the gym who convinced me I should do the 15 minute abs class. OUCH. I think I might be hurting tomorrow. It was kind of fun though. Plus yesterday and the day before I did a lot of snow shoveling. Its the really heavy wet snow, so it was a good workout. Yesterday it was the giant pile at the end of the driveway from the snow plow.

Okay no cheating today. Unless a miracle happens overnight I dont think weigh in is going to look so good for me tomorrow icon_cry.gif Oh well. Get back on the horse and keep working!

Good job Tuesday on resisting so many temptations! I am going to have all of this cake from my class tonight. You guys want to come over for a party?? Chocolate cake and some liquid refreshments? Oh wouldnt that be fun?

And for some crazy reason when I read your post I missed hot dogs and french fries for dinner. icon_wink.gif I can't even remember the last time I had either. icon_confused.gif May need to do a home made version tomorrow of baked fries and maybe turkey burgers.....Darn it! Now I am hungry!!!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Yes, Tuesday, I finished the figures, but I haven't taken any pics yet. I'm living dangerously...I'm not making the cake until next weekend, so I'm assuming the figures will be safe in a high cabinet until then. Of course, 5 times a day, DS asks me to take them down so he can look at them again. He's so sweet, he said he's going to keep them and play with them forever. Definitely makes it work all the effort!
I just love a good hot dog! Even the guilt from eating so badly didn't ruin it! The kids love for me to slice the ends lengthwise and make "octopus" hot dogs. I'm so tired to trying to force them to eat healthy, I gave up and we're eating kid friendly food this week!

Well there's always turkey dogs too. They are better for you and less fillers and calories so that always helps. When my 13 year old was small she dearly loved hot dogs so that was the route I took and she never guessed the difference. But a hot dog with cheese and pickle relish and ketchup is YUMMY!!!!! <insert DROOLING!> icon_wink.gif

If you buy turkey dogs they're so much healthier than regular ones. I think it's Healthy Choice that makes the ones I buy - I started getting them because I can't eat red meat (for some reason it makes me sick icon_confused.gif ), and they're much lower in fat and calories than the regular all-beef ones I get for DH. I can't say they're great for you, but definitely better than the normal ones.

I couldn't tell you the last time I had fries either. Droool....

Okay I have to jump in on the hot dog thing. The fat free ones from oscar myer aren't that bad, started getting them when I was doing WW. If you grill them you can't even tell they're not the evil kind. Though according to my husband grilling everything is the only way to go. Rain, slow, sleet or hail that man will have his BBQ up and running, which puts half the dinner preperations in his hands and lowers my number of pans to wash thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Now I just need to give my house a good solid cleaning this weekend, cause no matter how hard DH tries, he just doesn't quite cut it. Thank goodness he can cook!!
