Okay it's been a crazy morning. I guess that's what I get for staying up WAY past my bed time. I forgot to weigh in, in my rush, but I did yesterday. It was 222 lbs. I've lost track if this is up or down from last week. It's still 3lbs down from where I started. I'm going to give up the scale for a couple weeks. The pants I bought uncomfortably snug actually fit now and the belt I bought a couple weeks ago that I could only cinch up on the first notch, now sits on the second and comfortably as well. These are much more encouraging than watching my weight go up and down on the scale.

It's going to be a particularly hard weekend. I've got cookies to bake for DS's class and a CCC for his kid party on Saturday AND I'm registering the littlest baby for kindergarten icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif When did I get so old?!!

Since my walks have become a necessity in life for me and the dog, I've decided to take another step. I'm adding a short walk with my boy in the afternoon and at least a ten minute yoga session every day.
I haven't been focusing on food so much but I think I may be ready to do that now too. Grocery shopping 3 times a week is awesome. We're actually eating the healthy stuff because I'm not worried about making it stretch. My next habit in the diet area is meeting the GMD breakfast requirements.

Now another big Welcome to all who have found us. I'm gonna have to make a list to keep next to the computer, of everyone and their first names just to keep track of us all. Tuesday I think that's a good idea, about counting our blessings. So today, I am grateful that my husband has the drive to get up and go to work every day so I can be with my kids all day (even when it makes me crazy icon_razz.gif ) DH is having troubles with some co-workers so I'm going to find a (non food) way to show my appreciation.

Now off to make rolled buttercream.

I'm thankful for my DH...this man has used up 2/3 of his vacation for the year to be at home to take care of me and my back. He comes home and helps the kids with their homework and showers after a 14 hour day when I'm not feeling well. He tells me I'm beautiful and sexy. He demands that the kids show me respect when they're misbehaving. He tells me every day how much he appreciates everything I do for the family.

oh my. I'm rambling. I guess that's not really inspirational for anyone, but it feels good to acknowledge that wonderful guy!!

Here's a quote I really like:
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." - Buddha

I'm a SAHM and have no excuses for not exercing other than not being able to get from behind this chair here, lol. My goal for the week would be to get the dust off of the ol' treadmill and give it a whirl at least two or three times this week.

My DH is VERY big on that too. I'm always complaining about not having any girls but the truth is there is something to be said for being the only girl in the house. They all treat me gentler and that makes me feel feminine, even when discussing Darth Vader and lightsabor training while, picking up army men.

And it's good to gush over your man. I have to look a little harder for the compliments but they're there, he's just not real elequant (how Do you spell that?)

Christine - Posting your weight the first time is a little scary - I was like, "dear lord I just put that out there for the ENTIRE world to see." You've take the first step - Yay for you thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Well, let's see... Christine/mommabear, want to be our cheerleader of the week? Being new to the group this can be a good way to make sure you get involved icon_biggrin.gif Basically all you do as cheerleader is give a pick-me-up post everyday, usually ending with our rally cry of DIE FAT CELLS DIE!!! You can also give a challenge to the group; mine was to get our food journals back out because I hadn't been doing them in a little while and I think that was part of my problem recently. I forget whose idea that was initially, but it's a good one. I can't say I love this kind of challenge, but it's gonna be worth it in the long run.

I got messages from the yahoo about CC being down. Just finished cookies - it's 11:15. cheerleader? me? icon_eek.gif oh crud,........okay here goes,....trying my best here:

I'll start with this weeks challenge. Hopefully it hasnt been suggested befor (i tried to read most of the old posts)

Water water water !!! I swear if we do just this one thing we will see results next week. Lets keep that water close by and get in as much as possible!! When you feel like your gonna slip, try drinking some water first!! That way you wont cheat quite as badly.

as for todays little pick me up,.....here's a cute little quote:

"The difference between try and triumph, is just a little UMPH" LOL

Too cute. You're already off to a good start in your cheerleading duties. thumbs_up.gif

My sons Chuck E Cheese party this weekend. The only good thing is I'm usually so busy playing host I can't over do on the pizza. The bad thing is my DH will order WAY too much and it'll sit here all weekend to tempt me. icon_rolleyes.gif you win some you lose some.

Happy Weekend and ........DIE FAT CELLS DIE!!!

I am up for the challenge too. I had gotten really good about the water. I would fill up my jug for the day and I would know how much i needed. The last couple of weeks I just sort of let it slip, along with the eating. I dont know why I am having so much trouble sticking with this the last few weeks!

Personally I think I'm in a huge "funk" with this whole weight loss, exercise, water thing because winter just won't go away!! I am so ready for spring and flowers and NO more winter gear and mess!! Today, my DH called from his commute to report that he has never seen the roads this bad - he was going only 15 mph in a Suburban and people were in the ditch all around him!! I just walked out to the mailbox and my 200' drive needs blown open so as soon as my cake is out of the oven and turned out, I will get a bit of exercise doing that - if the snowblower will start!!

I haven't stepped one fat foot into a bathing suit in about 3 years and I rarely, if ever wear shorts. I might put on capri's but that's my limit. I look like a beached whale in a bathing suit!! I'd give anything for temps in the 60's! How lucky are you!! I hope you have avoided the nasty tornados down south!

ALL right Christeena that's some serious negative self talk. I'm calling you on it. Now 3 positive things about yourself and I'm thinking one of them should be about your apppearance. - This is my equivalent to a drill seargent giving out push ups! icon_lol.gif

All right, Rambo! Here are 3 positive things about myself that I can think of: 1. DH says I have beautiful blue eyes. 2. I'm pretty good at decorating a cake 3. I am a compassionate and giving friend.

Thank goodness, I didn't have to do pushups! I hate those things. Even when I taught fitness classes in another life, I didn't make my students do them. BUT they did suffer in other ways!! HaHaHa!!! Someday, I'll get brave enough to post pics on our yahoo site!! Not there yet!!

You go, Rambo!!!!! I like that rule! If you say something negtive, you have to say 3 positives.

I made a cake today. It is in my gallery. I am happy with it. I'll let you know what the customers think!

I also got another order today YAY!!! That will make 4 for this month! I don't have any details yet on one. Plus I have to do my DH's. Yikes, I've got a lot of cakes to make!

Well, not so great today, but I will give mself the weekend and then get back. I haven't done horribly, but I also was making a cake and I LOVE my BC icing...

We had a nice day in VA. It was mid 50's I think. I went out of the house without my coat and then I opened the windows to air the house out a little. I can't wait to see my garden leaf out this year. I planted it last year and was very happy with it. I used to do landscaping and I was a grower of plants at some nurseries. I LOVE spring, summer, and fall. but I LOATHE winter....

Is it the golfer cake, Monika? It's great! I'm sure they loved it.
I had a major success last night. I made a cake for a friend's daughter and a batch of choc. cupcakes with raspberry filling and whipped ganache for my friend (she loves them) and she and some other friends were eating them while I worked on the cake. I didn't have ANY!!! I did sample the cake scraps, but not too much. YIPPEE!! Finally I'm exercising a little self control!!

Off topic, but I did have the satisfying experience of a customer understanding why custom cakes cost so much...my friend hung out with me while I did her daughter's cake...for all SIX HOURS!! She was really thrilled with it and said she couldn't wait to show off my skills at the party. She must have said about 20 times..."wow, you can't get that at Walmart!!" thumbs_up.gif
