But now I'll just have to work it off, back up my hill I go. thumbs_up.gif

Well, I weighed in on Thursday, but when I looked again this morning, my post wasn't there, so I guess I didn't press the "submit" button. I know I was in a big hurry! Well, I was down by 1 to 156 on Thursday, and this morning I'm down to 155, which is what I'd been aiming for on Thursday. It might be because I gave blood yesterday. They take about 470g!!

Hello All! I am new to this forum but hoping it's ok to jump in... I need support badly! I'm beginning a "plan" tomorrow and some friends and family are going to try and have a weekly competition w/ a pool of a whopping $1 each icon_razz.gif . Anyway, I'm hoping this helps some but also would like somewhere I can vent openly and have even more support. I won't ever say how much I weigh; too emarrassed icon_redface.gif Suffice to say that I weigh a ton and have half as much to lose. But would like to report my lbs. lost, exercise for the day, and frustrations. Is this ok?

p.s. 2sdae, I just saw your Carebear cake (had been waiting for it anxiously since July). I didn't know the story behind it before, but have caught up now. You made something truly beautiful, in sentiment and in cake. I'm sure you made her happy as well as her loved ones.

Thanks LYNDA-BOB for the compliments. It was difficult at first but so well worth it.

Welcome new ladies. All are welcome to come into our little support thread. We try to stress healthy eating, drinking and exercising. To be fit for your life not skinny for a minute while you dont eat!

We have all gained, lost and regained it seems.
So we are here to unload un healthy habits and ways of looking at things.

We try to "challenge" each other through our cheerleader and through keeping ourselves involved but no obsessed!

Mondays we recover from the stress and temptations of the weekends and refuel for the week ahead. Wed are our "no cheat" days to help boost us mid week. Thursdays we "WEIGH-IN" but no actual #s have to used unless you want to or feel comfortable with that. It's about feeling better emotionally, physically and actually. <not I feel great at 110 lbs...never mind I look like I'm from a starving nation!>

So with this being said I am screaming out out battle cry:

DIE FAT CELLS.....D-I-E!!!!!!!!!

Hi girls- Just popping in quickly to say I need to do that extra exercise because I ate cake & pizza this weekend. Things have been pretty hectic here lately with school starting (you'd think it would be the opposite, but noooo), & I haven't been watching what I've been eating at all. icon_cry.gif

One of these days I'll get myself together and be a loser again!

-Lisa

P.S. I just posted in the General forum, but thought I'd ask here too - does anyone know if the WBH Golden Butter cake is sturdy enough to be stacked and/or covered in fondant? I loved the taste, but it seemed a little "soft." Know what I mean? It could have been me, though (very likely!) Has anyone used this recipe?

So how did everyone do over the weekend? Was there a lot of cake consumed? If so, get out those sneakers!

Okay challenge for today: Tell us about the best and worst food choice you make over the weekend.

For me, yesterday we had a birthday party for my DH grandma. We were served burgers and hotdogs. Well I got a hamburger, but decided I was full, and didnt eat it all. Normally I would have managed to stuff it all in! LOL! So my biggest accomplishment was to not eat everything on my plate!

Worst choice: Well I had to try the cake I made for the party! I started off with a 1/2 piece that I shared with 2 year old son. But then my 4 year old decided he couldnt eat all of his 2nd piece, so I ate the rest. thumbsdown.gif

Thanks for the welcomes icon_biggrin.gif
I just walked the kiddies to school (first day back). I'm going to try and do a walk around the neighborhood during the middle of the day, then I'll have to go pick them up at 3. I figure if I do this, I'll have walked for an hour. I'm gonna try to make this happen everyday icon_rolleyes.gif . I NEED to do this.
Anyway, worst food choice for the weekend was Sat., eating 2 slices of leftover pizza for breakfast icon_cry.gif . It wasn't even that good; Good grief! icon_razz.gif My best choice, I think, was only eating one Midgie Tootsie roll for dessert on Sunday, when others were making a dent in the bag. I felt pretty good about that! icon_smile.gif

Well, I've been getting heaps of exercise. My SIL and I have decided to start exercising together on a regular basis, so last week we went to the gym twice, and for 1 walk. I had a couple of swims, too. We have lots planned for this week, also!

Today I was going to eat a donut, but decided half way through it that I didn't need it and threw the rest away!!!! (That was a big achievement for me!) I wish I was always that determined....we'll see how the rest of the week goes!!!!

P.S. Welcome lynda-bob - I'm pretty new here too!!!!

My worst choice is that I had only one meal per day all weekend.

My best food choice is walking away from the Mrs. Fields counter without buying anything.

We also did the pizza thing for dinner but it was yesterday. I got lazy as I have been having kidney issues and the kids have had chicken pox so things have been more lazy than usual.

But when we were out shopping on saturday and stopped for lunch DH and kids wanted to eat at this specialty sub shop with gourmet chips they make on site.
icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif
I chose a whole wheat bread with turkey bacon, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and bean sprouts.
No dressing and no chips either! I ate a 30z. bag of natural cheddar cheese square they had instead.
Also no dessert as I did eat most of that sandwich and cheese cubes with a lemon water.

So I did good as I usually get a large sub on honey wheat bread with double roast beef, cheddar, grilled onions and spicy bbq sauce with a side of bbq chips and pickle wedges. Of course I usually drink a diet soda and have a root beer float for the ride home.

So I feel like it was a successful lunch out.
Also I havent used that particular recipe out of WBH yet but plan to so I'll be keeping an eye on your posts.

Last day before weigh in! No cheat Wednesday! We have picnic tonight for my DH work. I don't know what kind of food they will be serving, but probably not salad LOL!

I have to admit I feel like I am starting the downward spiral again. I just don't feel "into it" I hope it isnt long lived because I want this to work! I am sort of hoping that when school starts again next week I can get back onto a schedule and I will feel a bit more relief from the kids. Part of me wants to try a new diet, just because it would be something "new" I just get bored you know? A friend of mine suggested the "Calorie King" online. I think it is sort of like a weight watchers idea.

Sorry I havent been the best cheerleader this week. The motivation has just been low lately.

okay so my challenge for today: Just set a goal for TODAY. Maybe it might be easier to think of something in the short term. It is attainable! When you have to think of days or weeks or months, it just seems so far! When you are successful with a tiny goal it makes more goals seem within reach.

So my daily goal: Do not eat any sweets today.

Guess what? The supervisor (not mine, the one I used to have) brought in a box of cookies for ME.

My goal for today is to make sure that I take my vitamins. I've been bad with this one. I took them this morning so now I have to take the ones with lunch and the ones for dinner. I wish they made all of them so that you could just take one per day! Also, not to munch on the cookies for the entire day.

Hang in there, Merrissa! It will get better.

It is probably not a good idea to keep switching diets. You should find one that you can stick with. I also read somewhere that it takes five days for a diet to start working so don't give up on one too soon.

I have been up since 5 am baking 5 dozen NFSC in 3 different designs and am now getting ready to whip up icing for them! Plus cleaning the house and keeping 2&3 year old from whacking each other too much! icon_rolleyes.gif
So I am deff gonna be busy today! So my goal is to not eat my cookies before I am done with them. And not today at all if I can help it.
Tomorrow is DH and FIL's birthday<they wanted cookies not cake!> so that will be a challenge to me also!!!!!!

I think you've done a great job, Merissa!!! You've given us several challenges that have kept us motivated.

My family is staying away this week, so I won't be able to weigh in until Saturday, as there are no scales. I'm doing well, though, because we're staying at a resort and I'm exercising twice a day. There's a gym and swimming pool (which the kids want to be in every day, so I have to join them, of course!!!)

icon_rolleyes.gif This morning was pretty good; I weighed myself and was very happy with what I saw. Then I had a friend come over for dinner--not too bad until we started watching a movie. icon_cry.gif I ate candy out of my kids' party bags from last week-end. I will put this behind me and BEHAVE tomorrow. I should have got on the computer earlier for some motivation from you guys, but I was busy cleaning the house and garage all day. I so want to be good icon_sad.gificon_evil.gif

but my goals will remain and I also wanted to share something I saw.
It read, "The person on top of the mountain didn't just fall there!"

Kinda goes with my up the hill climb ya know?!

I maintained this week at 154. I guess that is good since I didnt really feel like I gave it my all. I guess I didnt do too badly with the food choices, but I slacked on the exercise. But 154 is really unacceptable to me.

Of course my goals remain the same...I gotta get back to a routine!! I think I am succumbing to the lazy summer, without a schedule now. We had a lot of activities in the beginning of the summer (swimming lessons, bible camp etc) and I think I was better about planning and keeping on a routine. The last two weeks before school starts I think I have been sorta lazy! We dont start here until after labor day. Only a few more days. I hope it will be a kick in the booty for me. Plus a little break from the kids too icon_lol.gif

I am nominating 2sdae for this week's cheerleader! Rah Rah Rah!

Good morning, all!

Weighed in this morning and lost another half pound. At this rate I will be down to my goal weight in 60 more weeks. Oh, well, at least it's down and not up.

Merrissa, you were a good cheerleader this week. Even if everybody failed the challenges the consequences surely helped.

Well, I want to run out to get some water before work so I'll talk to you all later!

YEAH CHEERLEADER!!!!!!!
I am not exactly the pom-pom type but I'll shout loud and proud!

So as my first challenge here goes:

Every time you pass a mirror say to yourself, "I love you."
Really look at your eyes and keep saying it every time you pass a window, glass, mirror, shiny new car, bald man what ever! icon_wink.gif
And then R-E-L-A-X!
Breathe slowly and deeply, and just be happy today to see the flowers, grass, children, hubbys, boyfriends, friends, moms & Dads.
Just know all these things make up you, not the fat tummy, thick thighs and a booty that makes "gettin giggy with it" not unlike a jello giggler contest!

We are beautiful women with people who love us, need us and here's the kicker girls.....WANT US NO MATTER WHAT WE WEIGH OR FIT INTO!

So give yourself a hug and hug everyone you can too!
Smile at everyone, do a random act of kindness and just..R-E-L-A-X! thumbs_up.gif

You want me to relax? I tried, doesn't work. I told Hubby I would not leave the house before 7:00 anymore for work. WRONG! I still get to work at 7:30. I just can't sit still and relax. Actually, I am sitting here at work doing nothing for the second day in a row. Not that that means I am relaxing. Just doing nothing.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you all something. My hands used to swell up if I walked any distance. Since I am drinking the water they don't do that anymore because I am not retaining water anymore. Just a great side affect from drinking enough water now.

I'm back home...yay!!! Things have been hectic and probably will be for another week or 2.

I totally failed the fried challenge. We drove 8hrs to ohio and I mindlessly ate fries when we stopped. Then at the wedding they had the best fried zuchinni and again on the way back, another 8 hrs in the car...more fries icon_cry.gif I haven't done any crunches icon_redface.gif And of course gained back the 6 lbs I supposedly lost icon_cry.gif

I did walk 10 miles this morning and hope my feet are up to it again tomorrow thumbs_up.gif Gotta prepare for the big one next week!!!

Welcome lynda_bob new members are always welcome and we won't ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with (which I'm sure you're already aware of). We are here for support and venting, not pressure!!! I love this group icon_wink.gif
