CakeDecoHubby,

That was very nice of you. I hear so much form women about what their husbands do wrong that it is nice to see a husband being considerate.

173! The scale went in the right direction this week! Only down one, but one is better than none, and a whole lot better than the number going up!

Rambo, your considered offer of two non-napping, stinky boys for my cake slasher cracked me up. Don't think it would have worked out though, I've already got a non-napping, stinky boy. icon_biggrin.gif

Yup!!! I think it would be refreshing to have someone new be the cheerleader. Maybe some new challenges?!?! Everyone here (myself aside) has done it a couple times so I thought a break would be nice.

No pressure...just do your best.

Lanibird yeah I can see your point about three stinky boys. Personally Merisa should get a nobel prize for being brave enough to be that out numbered by men in the house. I was too chicken to try for a girl in likelihood I'd get another boy. I LOVE them all dearly but I'm drownig in testosterone these days.

scgriffiths - cheerleading is really easy and you don't have to do any cartwheels in a mini skirt either. Just be extra positive and if someone (or all of us, as it sometimes happens) start to slip in our efforts you pick us up by our bootstraps and kick our butts back into gear. Most of us offer a challenge - or two, to keep focus. As simple as drink all your water, to go to the gym one extra day. Something like that. It actually has a reverse effect as well, becuase it's hard to stuff your face when your on hear telling everyone not too. Your duties start on Thursday - or now, and you nominate the next cheerleader the following Thursday after weigh in. I have faith, you can do it! thumbs_up.gif

And in case you didn't know our official battle cry is......Ladies let me hear it............
DIE FAT CELLS DIE!! icon_cry.gif (that would be the smiley if the tears weren't there)

Ok ladies, this week's challenges: eat ONLY FRUIT till noon each day!!! Yes, only fruit. And nothing after 7pm each night. So if you're heading to the supermarket today, stock up on fruit!

I'll explain "why" later, as I'm just heading out to deliver a cake and help my sister move house.

OK, I'm game. Fruit for breakfast and my morning snack. We are shopping today so I'll try to stock up.

I'm also meeting hubby at the gym after he gets finished with work so we will be starting the workouts again, YAAAAAAAAAAAY! icon_biggrin.gifthumbs_up.gif

By the way, the $300 we were shorted last pay was in this pay, so we are where we should be right now.

otter, I am so glad for you, I kept you in my prayers.
shellie, i miss your smiles.....yes, I know we are on line but your avatar pic was so sweet!

And fruit for breakfast and snack is wonderful to me. Yumm, I have strawberries, grapes, melon, blueberries and plums in there right now so a fruit salad with lemon sounds awesome! I hit our local farmers market yesterday and stocked up in hopes of avoiding those no-no snacks I have floating around the kitchen for kids and DH.

Plus my 14 year old needs to do clothing shopping for high school so this should take awhile and a walking we will go.....through the stores and around the mall to the poor house we will go!!!!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

That alone should be a good work out on my legs and nerves...not to mention seeing my "baby" getting ready for her freshmen year! Talk about nerves of steal.......I'll need them more than buns of steal for sure!

So Ladies let's show those fat cells who's boss and kick their icky cellulite building butts!

It's great to see you so excited about fruit...I'm not a big fruit fan, I'd rather eat raw carrots any day. We're in the middle of winter here, also, so there aren't many fruit options that are affordable!

Anyway, the reason for fruit is........the body uses huge amounts of energy to digest food. Fruit is the easiest and quickest food to digest, so if we eat only fruit all morning, the energy normally used to digest all the other foods is eating away at the fat cells instead!!! Make sure you limit bananas, though, as they are harder to digest and have more calories.

Happy fruiting, all!!!!

Hey, I just popped in to check on you wonderful ladies and saw your birthday wishes!! Thank you so much!
I haven't given my weight much thought at all lately, my back has taken a turn for the worse. The only good part of that is that all the meds I'm on are FINALLY making me lose my appetite!! And no more steroids! (we're past the point where that will work) I expect to be scheduling another surgery within a month or so, so (counting recovery time) I should be able to focus on my weight by the holidays.
Thanks again for thinking of me! I miss you guys and can't wait to get back into it, but in the meantime,

So how is everyone going with their fruit??? If it seems hard to just eat fruit, keep in mind ITS ONLY FOR A FEW DAYS. Just give it a try!!

Let's all aim to lose 2 lbs by Thursday - it's better to aim for small amounts and reach the target, than large amounts and end up frustrated.

I changed my digital scales to the lbs setting so I'm more in touch with you guys, so my weigh in weight is 159. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I aim to be at 157 by Thursday.

I found another trick today. I love the taste of cinnamon so I bought these cinnamon altoids. They are mint type candy and come in several flavors. They are quit strong tasting so they block your taste buds from liking anything else at all! icon_eek.gificon_biggrin.gif
They are 3 per serving, 10 calories a serving, 2g. sugar and 2 g. carbs. Not too bad and even after they are gone the taste and strength of it lingers just enough to keep me from tasting or eating anything.
So this may help battle my snack addiction, especially if I keep one handy while I am watching t.v. or on computer, no mindless snacking!!!!
Thought I'd pass the info along. thumbs_up.gif
Good challenges and ideas there cheerleader, keep up the good work!

kinda on vacation here. DH family is over for the weekend, so I havent been checking on the club so much this weekend. But yesterday we went to the farmers market and I got some michigan peaches (which are the best and surprisingly HARD to get in michigan because they export most of them!!) anyway I had that as my breakfast. I also got some yummy sugarfree jam and some cucumbers! Oh and some donuts...for the kids. I had a couple of little bites though.

So let's start this week off right and dowse those fat cells with good ol water and fruit and veggies! I am starting my morning with a not so good diet coke and a fruit salad with sunflower seeds. thumbs_up.gif

I've done fine with the fruit. Today, though, I had a Coke for breakfast again, but I didn't have any since Thursday, which means I have cut back to one every thre or four days now.

We went shopping and hubby bought me a pineapple but we didn't cut it yet. We do have some peaches from Chambersburg, PA, but they are only so-so. The ones from Ohio are better. so I am eating just peaches in the mornings. We were looking for mangoes so I can try one but when we went to Costco you had to buy the box and Giant Eagle didn't have any at all.

This morning I haven't had anything yet and I've been up since 4:30 this morning. I ended up having to take back the rental car since they changed Hubby's schedule and he had to work this morning afer all.

Well, have to get to work, so I'll talk to you all later!

Morning ladies!

I'm liking this fruit challenge! Grapes, bananas, peaches, apples, pluots! Yummy! The kiddos are linking it too since they just love fruit. Oh, and DH turned me onto watermelon with lime squeezed over it, very tasty! Almost ate a half a watermelon that way yesterday! icon_biggrin.gif

2sdae, my heart and thoughts are with you this week. Keep chewing your cinnamon altoids (they also come covered in dark chocolate 2pcs for 15 calories), and if you start feeling a bit overwhelmed, take a break, go outside and take some deep breaths.

Thinking of you Tuesday (((hugs)))!! That sounds very very difficult, makes you realize the blessings (and good health) that you do have....

Well I have been doing ALRIGHT. We have had family here for the last 4 days. Yesterday and today my DH's sisters and their kids were all up. It was a little crazy (7 kids all 6 and under!!) So I have all the kids tearing around my house...I can handle it for one night. Today we went to Michigans Adventure. It is like a smallish amusement park. Anyway the kids really did pretty well until we got back in the car to go home. Then all he(( breaks loose. Everyone is crying and screaming. DH says he needs to leave right away for his softball game. THANKS. Leave me with 3 tired, cranky, sleep deprived, sticky, dirty kids. I told him I wanted to tear my face off. LOL!!! okay so they are pretty calm now, eating a bunch of junkie snacks, but at least they are not crying and fighting now. So I ate a couple of brownies I had here. I know I know. But it helped. I will just worry about regreting it tomorrow.

Good for you Merissa, I personally don't think a couple of brownies are too bad.

Half way through the day we decided to go shopping and didn't get home until 9-ish. So I finished packing then....ate a hot dog bun (i couldn't find the bread) with nutella and peanut butter and a hot dog (1am west coast). I am soooo bad. Nevermind the morning I regret it now! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Now we leave for TN eating airport food all day. Ugh, i should get myself to bed it's going to be a busy day!!!

Tuesday, I will be thinking of you. Please post pic's so we can see your wonderful cake!

(not sure how much I'll be around while I'm gone, 2 weeks, but will definitely check in on the challenges and such.)

I am doing not too bad. I havent walked much...100+ degrees with humidity at 80+ o/o is killing us here. Plus my almost 2 year old has asthma and can not tolerate it for even a short walk. But I have been getting in my water and watching what I eat. To tell the truth I havent really eaten much since I got the phone call about my little Angelique passing in her sleep friday night. icon_sad.gif

I have been getting my fruit in and some raw veggies. But anything other just seems too heavy and nauseating to me still, stress with heat = not too much food in take for me.

But I know I need to set an example for my 3 girls to follow so I am keeping my health in check.

So let's kick some fat cell booty today girls and.......

DIE YOU FAT CELLS.........D-I-E!!!!!!!

Sorry everybody's time is so hectic. Tuesday, glad you are doing ok. Try to eat something to keep your strength up.

Casey, you have a good time while you are away. Relax a bit.

Merrissa, I have no idea what to tell you. I wouldn't be able to deal with all those kids. I sometimes had trouble dealing with the one I have.

My week is going fine. I am thinking of taking a sick day tomorrow. Hubby is off and then he is going to be working afternoons for a while so I won't be seeing him for a couple weeks.

Well, got to go. Need to start work soon here.

Karen
