I was looking at the Ripoff Report site to see if there was any information about removing inaccurate reports and the site says:
"How do I submit an update to a report I filed?
Changes to your Ripoff Report can be made at any time by sumbitting an Update, <snip URL>. You must Login, <snip URL>, to verify your identity. This will assure that you will be the only one sumbiting updates to your report. If your complaint is resolved or situations get even worse, you can always update your Ripoff Report with your new updated information. Reports can only be updated and not removed."
Did you see the last sentence?
I am hoping at the very least, if the poster can't remove it, they can update the content of their report and change it to say something like "I witnessed some errors on this company's website, however they have since been corrected." and leave it at that??
I feel like I am talking into thin air here, not knowing if the person is still active on this thread, but figured it can't hurt to try.
I have been shopping around for my wedding cake and thought I found reputable place to order my cake.
I began my search online looking at different cake decorators websites. When I realized I started seeing some of same photos over again on worksofartcakes.com
Naturally I was confused by this. So I contacted both decorators to see what was going on.
To my astonishment.. worksofartcakes.com had not only used many photos from other cake decorators in thier portfolio but ALL of thier photos were either stock images, or stolen and used without permission by other cake decorators!!
Being the undertanding kind of person I am, I assumed it was a mistake on the part of worksofartcakes.com. So I politely returned to thier website giving them a second chance. Only to have the owner of worksofartcakes.com respond with 'F**K OFF F**KTARD' in huge black and white letters.
This company is a scam, the owner is dishonest and vulgar, they steal photos to try and dupe you into paying them for a product they cant deliver. Then they tell polite and understanding customers to 'F**K OFF' and call them 'F**KTARDS' to thier face!
Save your money and your dignity and do business with a reputable and honest cake decorator. Like weddings arent stressfull enough

God dont like ugly and Im sure whats done in the dark, will come into the light.. You might think you have got away with this, but sweetie, you didnt. I hope when u look in the mirror you are ashame of yourself..shame on you shame on you

You guys have got to stop this. This thread is turning into something it shouldn't. I realize there are a lot of angry/frustrated/upset people in the world, and some of them are even cake decorators. 
That does not give any of us the right to keep at this now that the initial purpose of my post has been accomplished. What was for the most part a very positive and supportive attitude seems to be changing into something else.
Someone posted something on the internet about the offender's business. Whether it is true or not I cannot say, but I will say that continued talk about it belongs somewhere else other than CC.
Let's be happy the 'borrowed' pictures were removed and get on with our cakes....I mean lives!

Audrey, I'm glad your pic is back where it belongs...with you ONLY. 
And I've added that site to my bookmarks, though it's not in a good way, or by it's real name...But, I'm the only one that uses my puter and know why I named it "Theif of Cake Pics". Just to keep an eye on them. Personal choice for my puter only. Don't flame me, please!
Anyway, glad that the original reason for this thread is fixed.

Edited to add: Since the original problem is resolved, Audrey, maybe you should ask Heath to close it, so there will be an end to the downturn in tone?
That way we can get back to caking???? Caking rocks!

I'm so happy for you Audrey! Problem solved with so much class on your part and NONE on hers. Once again Good prevails over evil. I'm not sure if we are more excited for you that you are for yourself.....no...I'm sure you are excited more. THis is such a happy time! *hugs* for everyone! now I can finally go to sleep! It took me a while to update myself after I got home from work. It's now 2:30am where I'm at.

This is exactly why I think things like this should be handled privately - and not posted here.
Two people who have "stolen" photos have been harassed with numerous e-mails and phone calls (which purportedly included death threats)... and I have even gotten harassed for defending someone who did this - and now this. There are some very unstable people here who seem to be looking for an excuse to go after someone.
There is no reason to incite anger against someone like this. It can be handled privately.
(If anybody reading this really wants to go after someone, can you give my neighbor a call about allowing his kids to run wild and TP my yard? Kidding.)
What saddens me is that this has a great and happy ending... then that stupid graphic with the "F" word, and now the Rip Off Report.
People... this wasn't our fight to fight it was Audrey's. She chose to share it with us to have a safe place to vent about it.
Not a single one of us had the right to place Vavette on the Rip off Report site and lieing about being a customer. Your report was also poorly written and I say that by leaving a lot of information out. It was wrong and Audrey deserves nothing less than an apology from you, hopefully privately done.
It is reason's like this that I become leary about sharing to much with people on the internet and want to get to involved in internet communities.
Audrey has been nothing less than professional. All she wanted was her picture removed and when it happened she said it was over. Even after being called a "F Tard" she wanted it to just be dropped and closed.
What has happened now... the situation has been cheapened and we as a community look pretty stinking dumb by what you did.
Kudos to you, not only did you stick your nose where it didn't belong, you have people here wondering now who can and can not be trusted when we need to vent or even if this is a safe place where we can.
