bring the photo up and click refresh on your browser. You should see it then.

In case you can't see it, it says in bold black&white, "Which part of F tapedshut.gif off don't you understand??" and then below it, there's a pic of a valentine's candy that says in it , "f tapedshut.gif tard"

this whole situation is amazing! it is like a soap. i jsut don't don't know what to say....i can't believe it! the nerve she had to use the pic(s) and then to go and post that! i'm almost peed my pants laughing when i read it! but the situation isn't really funny at all...just the fact that a grown woman would do such a thing, posting those words like that! WOW

I think we need to start another forum called Cakes of Our Lives Stories...LOL (I can't remember the first person to use that on another thread, but it is fitting). This has just been too much. LOL

This whole site has changed since yesterday. I don't see your cake anymore, and her price for buttercrean has changed from $1.95 per serving to $2.25 per serving.

I hear you summernoelle...

I was trying to put myself in her shoes but- it's been really difficult .

I know we all make mistakes but, unfortunately this hussy takes the cake- this is so unprofessional and tacky at best.

I hope she knows that she has admitted her guilt by posting that INTELLIGENT RESPONSE thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif ... I believe that cut and paste works for her response also tapedshut.giftapedshut.gif HELLO IS ANYBODY HOME???

I wish her luck in her STUPIDITY!

This person has been asked to stop this at least once before. I'm no good at finding old threads, JanH might be able, she the queen! But, this person was VERY unhappy when I sent her PM advising her that using other people's photos on her website may cause a bit of trouble. She was so unhappy that she started a thread I think it was called "new member bashing" but I don't remember her id or anything. I do remember it being laughable.

Is this person a member on this site??????
If so, they should be reported to Heath & Jackie!!! icon_confused.gificon_confused.gif

I was so impressed with her new graphic I took a screenshot.... URL and all.

icon_lol.gif

I still see Work so fArt Cakes in her title instead of Works of Art Cakes when I see her page. icon_razz.gif Makes me laugh everytime too. I know that is so juvenile of me but being the mom of a 6 year old I can't help it.

Audrey~
I just want to say that I am sorry this happened to you. I admire very much the way you handled this situation! It is always best to take the high road.

I also want to thank you again for all the help you gave me when I pm'd you about recreating this cake a few months back. You were a big help to me. Again I am sorry that someone would take advantage of your willingness to share your beautiful cake!

OK, I feel so dumb and so NOT with it. Is that a name calling thing on the heart? Exactly what is a thing that sounds like "truck card"? icon_confused.gif Or is it a suggestion? How do you "truck a card"? Man, I gotta get out more.

Sounds like the hostage cake photo has been released. Yeah!

O.K.
Which one went to rip off reports and wrote The whole story acting like a customer?
Altough very funny and a little deserving, not very cool. She deserves to make a living and this could harm her. Granted she did some pretty shady stealing of pictures, she did nothing to you.
I totally agree Audreys pictures should have been taken down and she acted like a bi*&h by saying nasty thing.

Just when I think this entire saga can't get any stranger, it does.

I have been following it since Saturday as well. (Is there anyone in CC world that hasn't been?) Audrey's actions have been very impressive and a real example of how to handle oneself with grace and class. Her counterpart's actions have been mind-boggling. Simply mind-boggling.

After reading this, I went to rip off to see what was said...hmmmm
a person used anothers cake pic on their site, not kosher at all, some called her a thief, maybe so...BUT this person who filed the report at Rip Off (janiceintx) is nothing more than a liar with a made up story of being a customer...whatever CC member you are....you should be just as ashamed of yourself. Are Liars any better than thieves icon_eek.gif

Someone wrote Audrey's store? Or was pretending to be a customer? I'm lost. icon_redface.gif

No, I think they mean that someone wrote pretending they were a customer from the store Works Of Art, the one owned by the lady who stole the pictures and seemingly told what happened as if it had happened to her personally. A little confusing, yes.

This is a link to rip off, where a cc member is pretending to be a customer of work of art cakes, I find this just as objectionable as the person who took the cake photo.

The thing that gets me is you can tell that some of the pics are croped, so that they could put them on the websight without the watermark. Who only puts the top left corner of a cake on there websight to show off there work! You put the hole thing because YOU woked hard on it and are proud of it. The things people will do!

Please, whoever did the ripoff.com thing - take it off. Unless one of your pictures was on her website, you have no business acting on your anger or frustration.

I realize that this whole thing has frustrated and angered many here at CC. Trust me, if anyone would understand that, it would be me, right? So please do not channel those feelings into stirring up trouble for this woman and her business.

I said from the beginning that I just wanted my picture off her site. I got that today (finally). We can comment all we want on how horrible the whole thing was, but no one here should take it upon themselves to do anything further.

Please don't let this any bigger, Audrey's photo is down, so our job is done. The Rip off report was a bit too much. By all her actions she is obviously upset, anybody else who reads this will think twice of stilling a photo, lets don't go after her for 100 more posts

Audrey, I applaude you and admire your patience and professionalism. thumbs_up.gif I agree that rip off article stunt was not in good taste. thumbsdown.gif Others can take lessons from you on how to respond.

As to the partial pics on the 'Work So Fart' site: I also wondered what was cropped out to only be able to show one corner of a cake??? What is that?? dunce.gif

I am a life long Girl Scout and currently am a leader of high school age girls and do my best to set an example for them... And I am so torn between hoping no potential custmer's icon_sad.gif got an eye full... and hoping her closest friends and family DID get an eye full and see what kind of person she really is!! icon_evil.gif

This has been unbe-freakin-lievable!!

$2.95 per serving for fondant cakes... icon_wink.gificon_wink.gificon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_evil.gificon_evil.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gif

Funny but, every time I look at those cakes - I wonder if any of them belong to her?

I read the whole thing, but before I post something I did a little research on this lady, Vavette Blevins (just google her name) even she did something grong she have my simpathy!

I know everybody does mistakes, and get punished but what happen to the people that does good?

Please don't judge people that bad, nobody and I mean NOBODY is perfect
once in awhile we do bad things, like me sellings cakes without license, no reporting money my cakebased buss, to irs icon_redface.gif , and that do not make me a bad person, I just do that in order to get my bills pay on time and to buy clothes for my kids.

Sorry for my bad English I am in the process of learning

Have a nice day to all!

I have this fear that the person who did the ripoff report thing might not even be a regular cc'er, could just be a person who was reading the thread and got so inflamed that they ran out and posted that in the heat of the moment.

Please, whoever you are, nobody will try to discover your identity or rat you out, can you just pull that report off the site? It's not truthful, and is as unethical as the business owner's bad behavior. Please, it makes all of us at CC here look bad.

Please?

oh yeah, that's just overstepping a bit. If she were to find out about this, she could get even more ugly and possibly blame arosstx for it. We don't want this to get blown up even more than it already has. It's good to see she's taken off the photo and we should watch to make sure she doesn't take anyone else's photos but lying and pretending to be a customer has gone a bit too far.
