Today was a POWER LOUNGING day. We've got about a 2 inch snow creepin' around outside, and the roads are starting to get slick, so---I'm parked in the house tonight. DH is working security at his "runnin' money" job. (That's the 2nd part-time security thing he does so he can have $$ to buy guns, go out N eat...you know--guy stuff!) DS fell asleep WITH me this afternoon, so we're lazy humans.
THOSE TWO CAKES I DIDN'T HAVE PICS OF ARE FINALLY IN THE GALLERY!! 
*bows head slightly and weeps into the microphone*

well thanks for letting me rant yesterday. Appreciate the comment butterflyjuju. My only problem if a computer crashed here is it wouldn't really matter. We have 4 computers and 2 laptops in the house. (although if one did I wouldn't give him mine to use!) My BF owns an IT business so we tend to always have computers around. The other problem would be it would make him more upset and then I wouldn't see him until the computer was fixed and he figured out why. 
Anyway. Today was a much better day! One of our neighbors shoveled part of our sidewalk after the snow last night so that was wonderful! I only had our fron walk and our driveway to do (these two combined are smaller than our sidewalk Then watched some charmed episodes and was on Cakecentral quite a bit 
So for dinner tonight I ended up doing some dishes (yeah i've been slacking) and made Home made pizza. I made Cheese for BF and For me... Canadian Bacon and crushed pineapple
Mom fixed us all pancakes and syrup. YUM!
Dh has a headache so it'll be chicken n noodle soup for him later. And since I'm a starving pregnant gal I'll eat more chicken quesidillas after the kiddos go to sleep. I can barely eat anything until supper.
Ok you guys I finally got to go out to eat Dh and I went to Red Lobster He had a shrimp trio I had Crab Linguini(sp) salads and DH had some stuffed mushrooms and I had Cheese Sticks. I also had 2 Strawberry daquiris He got a long island iced tea but it was nasty tatsed like dish water so they gave him a different drink so he got a rum and coke. Now we are stuffed and ready for bed. I will catch up to you all tomorrow
Wound up having PeiWei for dinner - Saturday night usual.

Okay...I go away on my cruise. I come home and have family stuff to deal with. I did catch up on all the posts in this thread. And when I finally have time to post I see Risques post that says knox is gone

Joanmary...trying to plan a trip for dh and I. We are looking into Las Vegas, I can't believe how the cost of hotels have gone up in the last couple of years. We didn't go last year, but we did the year before. I don't remember spending so much on a room. Oh well...still hunting for a good deal.

We had dirty rice for dinner and the kids had scrambled eggs with rapberry muffins and apple cinnamon muffins.

Ok it has been a crazy day. We had PIZZA HUT yall. We got money back from uncle sam That is why we got some good eats last night And since it was DAYTONA 500 today I Power Lounged No cooking for this girl. For you new ones to the table POWER LOUNGING is laying around doing absolutly nothing 
After that big meal last night I was stuffed. Then I went and ordered pizza Now I really don't want to do nothing

Welcome to the newbie CakeLadyM Black Eyed Peas and Hamhocks I think they would go good with something I love. It is called fried bread. It is so easy. You thaw some frozen bread dough and fry little gobbs of it in alittle oil. It is YUMMY
JUJU I would love some left overs. But I am sure you need all the leftovers Midnight snacks and all. So how far along do you think you are??

I'm making spinach ricotta stuffes shells with marinara sauce tonight for dinner and green beans plus any bread I can scrounge up.
I have an order do tomorrow, a test in the morning and a screaming teething 19 month old. I'm getting as much done as I can now with the order so I have more time to study tonight. Thought I'd stop in here for a quick moment though while my hazelnut cake is in the oven.
Kay--I guess we did all graduate to spagetti or lasagna (or a spin off in my case) I just use the Zatarans Dirty Rice mix, the one in the box, those packets that cook in the microwave make the whole house stink. My DH loves Dirty rice and even though it kills my stomach I always have to eat a little bit of it.
Man --black eyed peas with hamhocks sounds really good with cornbread. MMMMMMMM, I want some now.

DH took us out this afternoon. We ate so much that we only wanted a sandwich tonight for dinner. DD had a bowl of cereal with a banana.
We had filet mignon, baked potatoes, and green beans.
I thought I was getting over the morning sickness. I wasn't queasy last night. But I woke up with it worse than ever today. Having weird cravings too. Never happened with the others. I wanted cheese soup to go with my chocolate ice cream last night. No I didn't eat it. Just had the ice cream.

We all went to the Doc today. At first it was just DS and I we were having some sinus crud. But when DD got home she went to cause she wasn't feeling well. Well she had a temp of almost 102 and achy. So guess what she has INFLUENZA WAHH and Ds and I got meds for sinus stuff but doc is pretty sure we are getting it also. BIG WAAHHH.
JUJU I hope you get to feeling better soon. Do smells bother you much?? With DS I could cook something cause I couldn't handle the smell.

mkolmar Yep we all graduated to more Itailian Food. Good luck witht the studies , cake and the little teether. My DS ALWAYS got an ear infection everytime he got a tooth. It was awful.

Tonight I made my Jacksicle chicken (It's a Jack Daniels/Orange marinaded chicken), fried herb rice, cheddar mashed potatos and a raw spinach salad with a basalmic vinager dressing.
It was very good, I was very full afterward
NIKKIB: That "Jacksickle" chicken sounds awesome! I'd love some of that right now.
JUJU: Hope you get better really soon with that morning stuff. For me, it was "evening" stuff--I'd get nasty in the evenings. Which of course made for a great dinner...
KAY: Poor kids. (And Mom & Dad!) Did the doc give you anything for it?
MKOLMAR: You have a HAZELNUT CAKE in the oven? And your house STILL stinks from the dirty rice? Wow! POWERFUL STUFF, huh!! But well worth it, I'd say! Love dirty rice! And I've never had hazelnut cake. Sounds awesome!

Yes smells really bug me. But I suck it up and do stuff anyway. I have two small ones. And we live with my mom and she doesn't know yet. DH and I are the only ones around here that know. I have to suck it up until we tell her.

CakeladyM--yep, that dirty rice is some potent stuff I tell ya . I'm just sensitive to certain smells and dirty rice happens to be one of them.
Tonight was leftovers since I had to work. I had the day from 
today. My car broke down at school in the parking lot and it took forever to get it towed through AAA. It happened at 10:50 and at finally 2:30 the tow truck came. Wasn't the towers falt it all had to do with AAA on their end. Oh well, my DH came and picked me up from school and was chewing me out for everything under the sun the whole ride home. Got home and had to get ready for work. Just got home from work and started laundry, the dishes and took the trash out, so I thought I'd stop by for a brief moment before getting back to house work.
reese & i had subway after her soccer game, at which she scored a goal & they also won the game 4-1 ****go wreckers****

Last night I made some steak and baked potatoes for DH when he got home this morning. And DS had some of it also.
DS and I are feeling alittle better today. But I am waiting as they say for the other shoe to fall. Earlier today DD temp was up to 104 She has had 4 cool bathes to bring the temp down. She is sleeping right now. But am waiting for the Motrin to were off and back to the tub we go. I wish they would have gigen us some meds to prevent it for us. But they wanted to wait till we have the symptoms enough for me.
