well I am just exhausted today and I don't know why because i didnt' do anything today except take a nap this morning, wake up go to lunch, come home and on cake central this afternoon/evening and worked on getting some pictures ready to post.... but got to frustrated because it takes me so long to modify them.... grrr if it were a cake I would have had it all iced and decorated already! The cookies in my avatar is the only picture I finished modifying to post lol.. didn't want to get it up past V-day or that would be silly.... maybe tomorrow i'll get around to posting the rest.

Anyway so I was lazy and went with the CC Special! Mac N' Cheese icon_lol.gif I also made Maid-Rites to go with it.

And for dessert, a nice BIG glass of milk and some of those sugar cookies I hid so no one else would eat them! icon_redface.gif ... and maybe some of that homemade caramel too...

Ok off to curl up in the chair under my feather blanket with my sweets and a good movie.... (you'd think my sweetheart on V-day.. but nope, he's busy tonight icon_cry.gif )

welcome jelligirl!

Ok ya'll I just added my avatar pic but since it had to be 6 k. it looks a little scary....I'll leave it up for a few days and then change it. I look like death warmed over. That's my now 3 1/2 year old DD named Kyra. I still look exactly the same (acne and all) I think I'm do for a make-over!

Welcome to the table jelligirl. Have visited with us before?? What did you find to eat??

mkolmar Kyra is such alittle cutie pie. Hey wait til I finally get my picture up there. You don't look like death warmed over. I can't see any acne at all. So I don't know what you are talking about. I am up for a makeover myself thumbs_up.gif But I am a MOM first. DH loves my just the way I am. But I do really need a hair cut.

leily Hey everyone needs to power lounge every once and awhile thumbs_up.gif

JUJU YUM breakfast for supper

Monica I hope the house gets better soon. And I am sure it will be better than before thumbs_up.gif

Knox With that BA vacuum you could clean my house for some DA stew anyday thumbs_up.gif And I even have alittle fried bread left thumbs_up.gif

So last night was BBQ beef sandwiches and fries. Tonight I made cheap steak with Baked Potato and corn. And I had made a big heart shaped cookie with kissables in it. Everybody was so full they didn't eat any yet. I also made a Apple Spice cake that has pudding added and I combined with the WASC recipe. It doesn't seem like it is done in the middle so I didn't decorate it for DH yet. But I think I still might do it for practice at least. I at least know those two recipes don't mix to well. Live and Learn thumbs_up.gif Have to wait to see how it actually tastes though. I maybe surprised icon_lol.gif I hope everyone had a GREAT VALENTINES DAY thumbs_up.gif

Tonight's supper - we'll as my son put it "smoke alarm special" icon_mad.gif
One of those hurry up and fix something - was going for saurkraut and hotdogs with biscuit dumplings on top - got busy cleaning up and putting away grocies and burnt the whole mess. Still ate - DH & DS has a 4-H meeting to go to so no time to do any thing else. Wasn't too bad - but now I've got a black mess soaking in my pan icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Monica--Go for it! You only live once and if it's been your dream it is time to make it a career. If you have any ?'s just pm me or ask here. It was hard for me to decide to go back to school, some days I regret it when I'm up to my eyeballs in stress and other days I'm so thankful that I decided to do it anyways. Like I said, you only live once, and I didn't want to regret anything later on in life. Are you looking at becoming a chef or pastry chef (or both)?

Dalt--I was wondering if you were sick since you have not been eating at all lately icon_wink.gif Glad to hear from ya!

Juju--leftover ribs sound sooooo good right now.

Littlegraham...you didn't burn it you just made it blackened. People pay good money for that style of food icon_wink.gif Now for the pan---just let that sucker sit and pray for the best.

Tonight my mom and I went for our pedicures then we had dinner at the Olive Garden. Been awhile since I have eaten there.

Had the salad, breadsticks, and a Fetucinne alfredo with Steak (was suppose to have spinach but had them leave that out) OMG icon_eek.gif it was SOOO good. Then of course desert! Had their chocolate cake... it wasn't quite done like a cake, but it wasn't a lava cake either... it was right in between and perfect with the vanilla sauce!

I made my BF fend for himself and I think he ended up having corn beef hash mixed with corn...

LittleGram--I read a hint about blackened pans and stuck on food. They said to fill (not all the way or it will boil over) with water and a squirt of dawn. Put it on to boil (either in the oven on a high heat) or on top of the stove. I tried it with some macaroni that was stuck and it worked like a charm.

Last night was advanced classes at my local cake supply, so I'm loggin' on at 4:20 in the mornin! icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif Insomnia rears it's ugly head!

It's ok, though--'cause me & Kay are at the table LATE while y'all are snoozin! icon_razz.gif

JUJU: I'll have to remember that trick. Good one! thumbs_up.gif

MONICA: Lucky! Go for your dreams!! You'll be a fantastic chef!

DALTONAM: 'Bout time you got yourself back to the table!

I don't have the response page tonight, (again! icon_mad.gif ) but the Olive Garden ROCKS!!!

LITTLEGRAHAM: Welcome!

Tonight was "fend for yourself" night again. DH & DS went to the diner to eat. DS had chicken strips, DH had liver & onions. I went to Wishbones and got some FRIED GREEN TOMATOES!!!! MMmmmmmm....

icon_smile.gif Hey, KC!

I like the classes. It gives me an opportunity to be around people who are not of the criminal element! icon_lol.gif

I was NOT put on this earth to make flowers, though. I'm here to tell 'ya. Just not made for it. I blow big time. That's why they've got oodles of 'em on the net, though, right?! icon_smile.gif

They're teaching next week how to drape fondant. Which will be great for me, because I've been just muddling through it on my own, with what I've read here on CC. (Which is extremely wonderful--but not the same as in person!) So I'm excited about that. I have questions on how to get the stuff smooth around square corners, at the bottom, etc.

I know how it is to have a DH who works nights. Mine's been a 3rd shifter for most of the 22 years we've been married! He's on the first two shifts exclusively now, though--the division he's in at the dep't only works the first two shifts, 1st and 2nd. So he's pretty happy with that. Except MORNINGS---gah!! icon_mad.gificon_mad.gif

He turns into Satan's helper at 5:00 a.m. thumbsdown.gif

My Dh used to do a rotating shift at his old job. DS and I hated it caused he was a bear. Then he got this job and was only on the 2nd shift 3-11. Worked great thumbs_up.gif But he got the crazy idea in his head that working overnights would be better. So he could see the kids. From past experience DS and I knew better. DH doesn't go to bed when he gets home he stays up. Then sleeps when the kids get home. icon_mad.giftapedshut.gificon_mad.giftapedshut.gif Defeating what he said he wanted to do icon_mad.gif And he is always tired and grouchy icon_cry.gif But we are hoping he will put in for a change back to second. His brother also works there and changed shifts like he did. From 2nd to 3rd. And now he sees that he is always tired and is changing back thumbs_up.gif I know those Satans Helper episodes icon_cry.gif

And I am wanting to take the classes when they are finally offered here. But wondered if they were worth it. I am also a person that if I see it done I can do it. EXCEPTION Royal Icing for me. Well I wouldn't have doe to bad if I had good icing to begin with icon_cry.gif

Oh my Kay that sounds just like my DH. He is on the 3-11 shift now but he thinks nights would be better so he could spend more time with the kids. Yeah right! He was on day shift which was awesome. He was feeling better and the kids loved it. They rearranged everything at work and it bumped him down. I have to fight with him daily to get him out of bed so he'll spend some time with the kids. They are grouchier too because he is grouchy. I told him I'd rather him be on days even though he hated it because it was better for us all around. He just hates getting up early.

Wow, JUJU! I didn't know other people's dh's acted like mine! icon_redface.gif

He HATES morning shift. And he drives me banana sandwich crazy, too. He'll set the alarm for like 4:30, but he'll lay there in bed and procrastinate getting up until like ten after 5!! THEN---he's in a mad rush to get there on time for roll call. icon_mad.gif WHY can't they just be like us? Just hear the alarm, put your feet on the floor, sit there for a minute---THEN GET THE HECK UP!!!!! tapedshut.gif

OMG---And when he's on nights??? Yeah. He's in BED until like 6 in the afternoon! So he didn't spend good time with the kids. PLUS they had to be perfectly QUIET while he was sleeping! icon_evil.gificon_evil.gif

I'm just glad he's on the first two, let's say! icon_twisted.gif

Keeping the kids QUIET is what drives me CRAZY icon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_evil.gificon_evil.giftapedshut.gif Cause he will fall asleep on the couch watching tv and get mad when he gets woke up icon_mad.gificon_evil.giftapedshut.gif Well You know where the bed is DUDE use it. Is what I want to SCREAM. And like I said I am no morning person either. But he is, but right now he probably can't get first shift till all the others retire icon_cry.gif But second works for our family better than 3rd. I just wish he could see it. Or else go to sleep when he should DUH thumbs_up.gif I can see staying up a few hours to unwind but going to bed a 1 and waking up because of loud kids. Then going back to sleep and not wanting to get up to go to work icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif :cry MEN icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Gotta love em though icon_lol.gif

mkolmar- I want to be a pastery chef. I am sooooo scared to move to another city not knowing anyone. I love my church & I do not know if I could do it. icon_cool.gif I love everyone there. I just do not know what to do icon_cry.gif Its a very important. There is a school Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta that I really want to attend I called them Last Jan of 2006 & chatted with them. I cried cause I was not finically ready for this. But now I think I am icon_rolleyes.gif I checked & there is A Publix there I would LOVE to work at. Its like 10 Minutes from the school. I just really do not know how to make my decision. I am just going to have to pray more!! thumbs_up.gif I visited the Art Institute in Atlanta back in 1999 & I has tears rolling down my face the WHOLE time. I nearly fainted icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif Yall give me some advise please. icon_smile.gif

I'm making chicken strombolli tonight with some veggies and maybe some mozzarella sticks. But I don't know yet if I want to cut up my kids string cheese to make them.

Ok my DH is a grouch normally, I couldn't imagine him on 3rd shift. My dad was a 3rd shifter at Powertrain for almost 30 years. He would sleep for 2 hours and get up do some work around the house and go back to sleep for 1 hour then up then back to sleep for 1-2 hours then up and off tho work again. icon_confused.gif He's been retired for almost 7 years and he still sleeps like this. A schedule like ya'll dh's have would kill mine!

Monica-- I know it's hard to make a decision to move away, but think of it like this. You can always moveing back and they will take you with wide open arms. If you cry just looking at pastry schools than that is a big sign of where your heart is right there by GOD. Just my 2 cents. icon_razz.gif I know it's hard to decide....no pressure, just support.

My DH and DD have a Daddy/ Daughter dance at school tonight. My daughter is so excited right now!

We are having chicken quesidillas (sp?).

My biggest pet peeve is when my DH starts complaining how tired he is. It just irritates me to no end. I haven't hardly had a full night's sleep in almost 5 years. He would not be able to function without his uninterrupted sleep. It's always all about him forget me. Lol. I still love him though. Wouldn't get rid of him for anything. Just happy to find others that understand.

And to make it even more fun, I'll have about 5 more years without sleep. I'm pregnant again and we're thinking it might be twins. My first appt is the sixth of March. We'll find out then how many. Baby is due Oct 16.

DH took DS out to eat tonight and he's bringing me something back. Yes! 45 whole minutes without interruption!! icon_wink.gif

Yes--isn't it hilarious to think of how the house, the bills, the errands, the dinners, the yard, the budget and the LAUNDRY would all LOOK without our sacrificed sleepy-time??!! Seriously--they have no clue what it's like to feed an infant at 2 a.m., throw in a load of laundry, make a pot of coffee---and--oh yeah! Time for work now, thank you! icon_cool.gif

I love my guys more than anything. Really, I do. I'd just once like a serious "thank you for doing what you do every day" type speech! That'd last me about 20 years! icon_razz.gif

No I was expecting to have another baby yet. But DH wouldn't let me reorder the pill. We were shocked to find out though I was already pregnant so I guess it's good he didn't let me reorder. My biggest worry is having to get a new vehicle so we'll all fit. If it's one, we'll be okay for a few months but if it's two we can't all fit. 3 or 4 carseats not fun...lol.
