I just now finished having Cheesits and a Kiwi/Strawberry diet drink, lots of it, I've taken a cold and nothing around here sounded good.

On the other hand, I am so envious, you all had great stuff the past few days! Janice

no one wanted to cook anything too fancy so my mom just made sopa de fideo. yummers. hubby and dad also had tamales that we bought from the home and garden show we went to today.

ohara - they just opened up a p.f. chang's here and my mom made reservations for next week (that's how packed they are!!!) anyway - just wondering if they're any good and what you would suggest off the menu.

Janice, don't fret at least your cold isn't so bad that you can't taste your cheesy crackers and kiwi/strawberry drink. On the other hand if it was my cooking you'd wish for a cold somtimes. icon_lol.gif

DH got spoiled by DD's - BF. He made a huge all Natural Carrot Cake last week that fed my DH breakfast every work day. He lamented not having any more so here I am at this hour of the morn baking. It must be love.

mxpark- I liked the food at PF Changs. I don't know that I can recommend much. I had their spicey chang chicken....made not so spicey. It is their verson of General tso's chicken. My friend had orange peel shrimp and said it was great. We also had sweet and sour soup. It was very good. DH loves sweet and sour soup and is pickey about it....but really enjoyed it. Let us know how your experience is when you go.

mxpark - My favorite is the honey seared crispy chicken. The lettuce wraps are great, also their green beans and asparagus. I love PFC and PeiWei (their faster food component).

We are having:

Tuna Noodle Casserole
Milk
Brownies

Had to make something for DH that would produce leftovers. I have a busy week seeing clients that are a two hour drive from home. I am up there Tue, Wed, Fri. So poor hubby is going to have to fend for himself as I will be late getting home most nights.

That being said, I may be a little scarce around here the next couple of days. But I have a cake to do for Saturday, so I will be around this weekend to catch up and show off my latest creation. icon_lol.gif

We have a PFC's here, but we've never been because it's out West Knoxville, and my husband is allergic to anything but the South end of town! (dumba$$) Makes me sooo mad sometimes, 'cause I'd like to try something different... tapedshut.gif

Just got over a MAJOR panic attack that lasted 2 hours...don't know what that was about, either. thumbsdown.gif

I just made:

"Oven Fry" brand pork chops
Peas
Skillet fried potatoes
Water (no tea tonight--no patience for it!)

Leftover cherry cheese squares

Where in the he!! has DALTONAM, and MONICA0271 been lately?? AND DODIBUG?? I mean really... icon_razz.gif I miss those guys!

Taking a cake break. So I thought I would check in at the dinner table. Cake 3 in done and out the door. 4 is in the works on the table crusting over abit. I am rethinking FBCT it is a detalied baby invitation. I think I would do better to free hand it. They told me if it was to hard I could do the napkin which is more simple. UUUGGGHH. I am doing ok so far. Only to screw ups. One was a batch of color flow I had to toss. Ok on to FOOD.

I made lasagna and a varity of bread. everyone has there fav. I had schwans cheesy breadsticks, 5 cheese garlic bread, and of course a ring of cheese bread. I can't think of the name for it right now but it has a dipping sauce for it. I don't use the sauce for dippin. I add it to my sauce for lasagna.

Juju Dang Ham and beans sound good.

don't feel too hot today. kind of dizzy, have a migraine, ds is driving me nuts. i think we're both getting sick and he's been really super fussy all day. he spit up all over me three times this morning and i seriously broke down in tears. i can't handle the smell of his formula. especially when its spit up all over me..ugh. sorry - that might have been tmi for the dinner table but i just don't have the patience tonight. plus....brother's drum lessons got moved to today (tuesday) so my mom took him and my other brothers, dh and dad have another business meeting so i'm here alone to deal with my pia migraine/dizziness and son.

sooo - everyone is on their own tonight which means fast food. i think i'm just going to have some top ramen if anything at all.

knox - its like really thin spaghetti noodles that you fry a bit in some oil and then cook it with onions, some water, chicken buillon (sp?) and tomato sauce. the sauce is thin which kind of makes it soupish (sort of). we usually pair it with some spanish rice or my dad likes steamed rice with it. cheap, easy, and not too heavy. you can find fideo noodles in the mexican/hispanic food aisle. my mom makes it but she doesn't have an actual recipe. she just makes it to taste but if you're interested in making it then i can give you some approximate amounts.

Oh, MX!! icon_sad.gif

Girrrl, I know how you feel--literally! I've had MANY nights where I broke into tears, especially with my oldest. (He's 18 now.) But, Lord--when he was newborn, he had colic. He didn't get over it until about 6 months or later!

I used to have visions of smacking him against the wall by his feet. When he'd been home from the hospital for four days as a new baby, his dad and I just stood over his crib and sobbed. We held each other and said, "If that damned doctor doesn't give HIM something that will calm him down, he's going to have to give US something to calm US down..."

And I know what you mean about the smell of formula spit too...

I'm sorry you're going through your baby being ill, and migraines too. Just hold it in there...y'all will get better! icon_wink.gif

Tonight, I was going to do the tuna casserole. But I had a bunch of calls today, so I just called home and told the youngest to crank up the crock pot! thumbs_up.gif

We had crockpot bbq ribs and some couscous!

Mx,
I understand completely. I'm just now able to get some full nights sleep. I have a 4 yr old and 2 yr old. Dh sleeps too heavily to wake up. Sometimes they still wake up nightly...ugh! I too have had times when I cried. (I nursed so didn't have formula spit up to deal with.) Hopefully tomorrow you can find someone to watch the little one and let you get some rest.

For supper tonight was the Taste of Ottawa County United Way Fair. It was free for us because someone gave us tickets. Ok that means that several restaurants and other groups came together and brought food. You give them your ticket and they give you 6 tickets meaning you can eat at 6 different venues. DH and I had 5 tickets left over when we finished and someone else gave us 3 more so we brought home 2 plates of food.

I had broccoli cheddar bites, fried green tomatoes, fried okra, and a twiced baked potato. I had blackberry cobbler and ice cream for dessert.

DH (my picky eater and it's a good thing he wasn't too hungry) had ribs and brisket with bbq sauce and twice baked potato. (I gave him my brisket because I'm happy eating veggies.) He also had apple cobbler and ice cream for dessert.

We brought home for the kiddos and mom: Frito chili pie with cheese, two slices of pizza, fried okra, fried squash, mozzarella(sp?) cheese sticks, twice baked potato, cookes, cupcake, and a bon bon.

Not bad for a free meal. I think we might do it again next year except mom and I go and let DH babysit.

Mx I am feeling for you. I have been there and done that. I hope you get a break soon. I have done alot of crying myself. I wasn't suppose to have kids I was told. And at 27 Surprise icon_lol.gif I had my son (now 16) and wound up single icon_cry.gif He was colic they said and found out alergic to his formula. I thought what he was on smelled bad. But what he was put on afterwards was worse. I was single mom and cried ALOT. I loved him and almost Hated him at the same time icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I got hrough it. And had my DD 8 yrs later. Another surprise but this time it was with DH. I breast fed. But I still had my crying spells. Every 2 hours to be fed and work took it's toll. So hang in there you are stressing with school and migranes. It will get better. thumbs_up.gif

On to food I fed them chicken nuggets, cheesy mashed potatoes, corn, or peas.

My cake 4 bit the dust. oh well DH was wanting to eat some cake. I let it crust to much. I gave up last night so when I came back to it tonight it wasn't nice to me. I applied my design but it wouldn't stick. So since I couldn't get it done and in the freezer DH will get cake icon_lol.gificon_cry.gificon_lol.gificon_cry.gif I will rebake tomorrow. And get it done. Then onto DD cake. I allowed myself some screw up time. I just hope I don't have much more. I know these cakes were done with love and for gifts. AND THEY ALL KNOW IT. I am keeping them posted. So they know what is going on. I was the stupid one for thinking this would be easy. I did allow for screw ups though. But DD cake will bother me more. I am going to start baking for it tomorrow to. So this is where I will probably lose it. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_lol.gificon_cry.gif I know I will get through it but will probably take alot of breaks to vent. GET READY icon_cry.gificon_lol.gificon_cry.gificon_lol.gif

*Mx: I'd gladly do baby duty for you if you were here. I love the babies and the crying! icon_eek.gif Call me crazy but something tears at my heart everytime I hear them cry and this huge 'Mommie Monster' comes out looking for the little one to love. Even if I'm sick and feverish.*
*KC:Cake 4, bit the dust because DH wanted it really bad. My Gma use to say,"OOOH who wanted that?" whenever she dropped a food item.*
*juju:That's my kind of a free dinner! No cooking, No cleaning, & all I can eat. I hate cooking & cleaning, but it has to be done, darn!*
*Knox:So happy to hear your little guy lived to be 18. When my 'dear children' turned 18, I could have smacked them a good one. Something about being an 'ADULT!' and not needing to follow the rules of our home, while they were living in it rent free!!! Yeah Right!
...Dingdong...delivery for Knox... birthday.gif ...Oh I see you got the Cinnimon Swirl Cake. I hope the cream cheese icing didn't melt. ENJOY icon_biggrin.gif*
*JM:What is edamame? I'm not that cultured in fancy foods.*(actually I'm not cultured in food period!)*
*jtb94:Are you new to the 'Supper Table'? Welcome and sorry I missed your arrival. It gets so crowded here sometimes that we miss new ones if we don't change seats once in a while*
Did I miss anyone tonight? Please excuse me if I did.

Well, dh went to visit his mother today.

For breakfast I had half a piece of cake and 2 handfuls of tootsie rolls.

Late lunch - big mac and fries - have to supersize for the monopoly pieces.

Dinner - rest of cake (not even homemade) - and expect to eat more junk later. I suppose there is a good reason for me to stay married. I really like real food as well as junk but left on my own would probably go days w/o eating anything healthy.

Tomorrow starts the diet again - wish some of you would hold me to it.

Gloria - It is not a fancy food - I guess it is Chinese - I believe it is soy beans in a pod. I have a good friend who is Chinese and her kids eat them as a snack. Years ago she tried to get me to eat them when I was going through a period of heallthy eating - no go. Now I can't get enough???!!! She is coming out for a visit soon and I can't wait to serve them to her.
