another busy night.....
kiddos had chicken noodle soup since they're sick. the rest of us had del taco (chicken soft tacos and chicken quesadillas)...the dumb workers forgot my quesadilla but they charged me for it and now my hubby has to go back and get it. i hate when they do that!
Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomatoe soup
El Pollo Loco
butterflyjuju - a few pages back you mentioned St. Louis honey BBQ pork ribs - would you mind sharing your recipe?
I use a peeler to but bad hands. If I do fried potatoes I need to peel at least 10 so to have some leftovers. Carpel tunnel stinks even with a good peeler. DD wants to learn she is 7 so soon I will teach her to do them. She want to peel herself when she tries. She wants to do it her way and it scares me ![]()
![]()
But we love the tators so I gotta teach her. Teenage Son likes to cook but anything that takes time not GOOD WANT FOOD FAST ![]()
FOOD IN MY BELLY NOW SYNDROM![]()

Joan--
Package of St Louis Style Pork Ribs, thawed
1/2 brown sugar
honey
BBQ Sauce (we use KC Masterpiece)
KC Masterpiece BBQ seasoning
Pork broth(optional) and water to cover ribs
I put all this in my crock pot and cooked on low all day. Then preheated the oven to 350. Put ribs in oven safe pan cover with more BBQ and honey. Bake for 10 minutes.
The bones fell out of the ribs when I took it out of the crock pot. They were yummy. Sorry I don't have exact amounts because I just squirted in the honey and BBQ sauce.
Kay--
I have lupus which attacks my joints. Makes it feel like arthritis so there are times I can't even hold a potato so I understand. I have found a vegetable peeler with a large fat handle helps me a lot.
Tonight is Cheesy rice stuffed chicken breasts with potatoes (not sure what kind) and green beans.
buterflyjuju - thanks for the recipe.
Buffet (well, we live in LV)
We had....
Grilled Chicken
Corn
Brown-n-Serve rolls
Man, I could make a MEAL out of those brown-n-Serve rolls! So good brushed with butter. ![]()
I can make a meal of those too hockeygirl but I'm the only one who seems to like them around here. Guess I could go buy a package just for me...lol.
Thursday night...chicken roll ups and dinner rolls
Friday night.......leftovers Well now the refridgerator is cleaned out .
WHEW, Y'all!
Well, two sheet cakes later! One was a 3-D construction cake, and one was a football cake. I learned one very VALUABLE lesson: Parchment paper is the bomb! ![]()
I'm so proud of them--the 'Bama cake was my first FBCT. It came out perfectly! The carving of the "dump truck" went well, too. Both of the ladies FREAKED OUT when they saw them! I love cakes! ![]()
Pics in the gallery.
Tonight is something easy, so I can VEGETATE! ![]()
Broccoli Cheese Soup
Hot ham & cheese paninis

butterflyjuju - your recipe sounds yummy! i will have to try it one of these days! i'm sorry to hear that you have lupus. i have two aunts who have lupus. one of which is just having eye sight complications due to it. my grandma, my mom, and i all have arthritis so i guess i kind of know what you are going through with the pain. and its been raining here and snowing in our mountain communities so our arthritis has been acting up.
knox - awesome job on your cakes! i have yet to try a fbct but the challenge has been calling to me!!! btw - thanks for the welcome!
Well tonight the girls had the left over sloppy joes we had last night. They also had tator tots and corn with juice. DH is sleeping so don't know if I will make anything for us tonight. Son had Fall Ball so he was at his cousins house with his date for dinner. They stopped by here before the dance the girls had very pretty dresses. Son and his cousin wore sweaters and dress pants. I can't wait to see the pics they took. He is growing up to fast ![]()
Knox Great cakes. I haven't tried the fbct yet either. Yours looked great ![]()
One of these days I will get my old style film developed.
I have about 4 rolls. Alot of cake pics on them. Maybe next week I can get them done.
well I had a late lunch early dinner at my BF's sisters house. She had a pampered chef party and a ton of food so i should be good for a couple of days right? (LOL yeah right!) I don't even remember what was cooked but it had cheese chicken miracle whip and bacon in it for sure and some onions. But it was oh so good.
Leily
Tonight; Chicken taco salads with a salsa dressing
O'hara, looks like you and I are at the "table" late tonight! ![]()
Well, my dinner plans got shot all around this weekend! Nothing went as planned...
So, Saturday we didn't get to do the broccoli cheese soup dinner.
My son had his friend stay the night (yeah---after the long cake day!) GAH!
That evening we actually ate hot wings (so dang'd good) from Wishbones.
Tonight, I was going to cook, but the hubby says to me, "I figured you've worked enough this weekend, so I picked us up some KFC." ![]()
![]()
I love him....I got me a goodun'!

Last night DH fell asleep so didn't make anything for us. I just munched while I worked on cake prep stuff. So this noon we had breakfast for lunch. Scrambled eggs, Hashbrowns, Bacon, Toast. This afternoon I finished up nephews Dale Sr. cake. So I made chicken nuggets and fries for supper. Something easy.

We had chili again today and pumpkin cake for dessert.
Hey mxpark contact the pampered chef person you got it from. You can get a replacement. I had a cracked one and it finally broke baking a pizza not good
And I got it replaced. Or I can pm you and let you know more.
Juju weanie roast AWESOME makes me think of summer. We do that alot ![]()
Kay we do our weanie roasts in fall and winter not summer. TOO HOT!...lol. I just saw where you are from. We went to Cabela's up there about 3 years ago. Not really a good trip for us. We were in two cars. Mom, hubby, son and I in one. And my brother and his fiance in the other. My brother's car quit. The transmission went out. We ended up having to come home all in one car (ugh very crowded) and my brother and uncle went up the next day to get his car. Definitely a vacation we won't ever forget.
Tonight we are having salisbury steak and gravy with baked potatoes and some type of veggie.
We had Habachi chicken at the Japanese steakhouse it was great.
Spaghetti and meatballs
seeet corn
garlic bread
warm chocolate cake....making a birthday cake for DD birthday tommorow and have a short cake .....so we shall eat it ![]()

Almost hate to post when I cook a real meal - hope you all aren't saying "OMG, she is actually cooking!"
the other day you wrote that you ate at a buffet saying that you do after all live in Las Vegas.....when I read that all I could think of was WHAT BUFFET??? I love Vegas and was wondering where you had been ![]()
We ate at Sunset Station (locals casino) the other night - as locals we get a lot of 2 for 1 deals and that's where we go.
The buffett I really love best is at the Alladin (it's expensive but good)- hope that doesn't change as it becomes Planet Hollywood.
peanut butter and crackers, LOL. Working on Lightening McQueen cake for grandson's (Sam) birthday party this Saturday. Cutting out fondant pieces to dry.
