I use a peeler to but bad hands. If I do fried potatoes I need to peel at least 10 so to have some leftovers. Carpel tunnel stinks even with a good peeler. DD wants to learn she is 7 so soon I will teach her to do them. She want to peel herself when she tries. She wants to do it her way and it scares me icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif But we love the tators so I gotta teach her. Teenage Son likes to cook but anything that takes time not GOOD WANT FOOD FAST icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif FOOD IN MY BELLY NOW SYNDROM

Joan--
Package of St Louis Style Pork Ribs, thawed
1/2 brown sugar
honey
BBQ Sauce (we use KC Masterpiece)
KC Masterpiece BBQ seasoning
Pork broth(optional) and water to cover ribs

I put all this in my crock pot and cooked on low all day. Then preheated the oven to 350. Put ribs in oven safe pan cover with more BBQ and honey. Bake for 10 minutes.

The bones fell out of the ribs when I took it out of the crock pot. They were yummy. Sorry I don't have exact amounts because I just squirted in the honey and BBQ sauce.

Kay--
I have lupus which attacks my joints. Makes it feel like arthritis so there are times I can't even hold a potato so I understand. I have found a vegetable peeler with a large fat handle helps me a lot.

Tonight is Cheesy rice stuffed chicken breasts with potatoes (not sure what kind) and green beans.

WHEW, Y'all!

Well, two sheet cakes later! One was a 3-D construction cake, and one was a football cake. I learned one very VALUABLE lesson: Parchment paper is the bomb! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm so proud of them--the 'Bama cake was my first FBCT. It came out perfectly! The carving of the "dump truck" went well, too. Both of the ladies FREAKED OUT when they saw them! I love cakes! icon_biggrin.gif

Pics in the gallery.

Tonight is something easy, so I can VEGETATE! thumbs_up.gif

Broccoli Cheese Soup
Hot ham & cheese paninis
Tea
Cake scraps!

(only 5 of those minutes am I actually in the kitchen cooking! love it)

Also making some breadsticks and gotta find something for dessert.

Glad to be back at the table. Hopefully I will be able to sit down with you guys again in a day or two.

last night i had to take my grandma home (1 hour drive one way) so hubby and i grabbed some mexican food on the way home....tacos de lengua, yum!

tonight...i'm not aure if we'll have dinner, had lunch about an hour ago (6 pm - pacific time) so i don't know if anyone will be hungry. made roast beef sandwhiches and had a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwhich.

butterflyjuju - your recipe sounds yummy! i will have to try it one of these days! i'm sorry to hear that you have lupus. i have two aunts who have lupus. one of which is just having eye sight complications due to it. my grandma, my mom, and i all have arthritis so i guess i kind of know what you are going through with the pain. and its been raining here and snowing in our mountain communities so our arthritis has been acting up.

knox - awesome job on your cakes! i have yet to try a fbct but the challenge has been calling to me!!! btw - thanks for the welcome!

Well tonight the girls had the left over sloppy joes we had last night. They also had tator tots and corn with juice. DH is sleeping so don't know if I will make anything for us tonight. Son had Fall Ball so he was at his cousins house with his date for dinner. They stopped by here before the dance the girls had very pretty dresses. Son and his cousin wore sweaters and dress pants. I can't wait to see the pics they took. He is growing up to fast icon_cry.gif

Knox Great cakes. I haven't tried the fbct yet either. Yours looked great thumbs_up.gif

One of these days I will get my old style film developed. icon_cry.gif I have about 4 rolls. Alot of cake pics on them. Maybe next week I can get them done.

O'hara, looks like you and I are at the "table" late tonight! icon_smile.gif

Well, my dinner plans got shot all around this weekend! Nothing went as planned...

So, Saturday we didn't get to do the broccoli cheese soup dinner.

My son had his friend stay the night (yeah---after the long cake day!) GAH! ouch.gif That evening we actually ate hot wings (so dang'd good) from Wishbones.

Tonight, I was going to cook, but the hubby says to me, "I figured you've worked enough this weekend, so I picked us up some KFC." thumbs_up.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif I love him....I got me a goodun'!

Kay we do our weanie roasts in fall and winter not summer. TOO HOT!...lol. I just saw where you are from. We went to Cabela's up there about 3 years ago. Not really a good trip for us. We were in two cars. Mom, hubby, son and I in one. And my brother and his fiance in the other. My brother's car quit. The transmission went out. We ended up having to come home all in one car (ugh very crowded) and my brother and uncle went up the next day to get his car. Definitely a vacation we won't ever forget.

Tonight we are having salisbury steak and gravy with baked potatoes and some type of veggie.

We ate at Sunset Station (locals casino) the other night - as locals we get a lot of 2 for 1 deals and that's where we go.

The buffett I really love best is at the Alladin (it's expensive but good)- hope that doesn't change as it becomes Planet Hollywood.
