Just got off the phone with Cal Java. They are sending me another invoice stating (since I saw the incorrect price online) that I only have to pay $895 TOTAL!!! YAY!! After the $100 deposit that I already paid, I only owe $795.

She (christalda)(sp?) said that she would send out a new invoice tomorrow. I better get it by Monday!

Nope, she fed them before she sent the kids to bed. ...gave them some broth without any bread (or butter without any bread depending on which you were raised from) I was also raised that she "whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed" but apparently now its "kissed them all gently"

Ok, storytime. Then I got to go and get some work done.

We always lived in apartment building. I would say I was around 9, our building was on a corner.

There was a business woman on each of the corners. If another business woman would try to steal their corner there would be a cat fight and all us kids would come out to watch.

There was this one saleswoman that was really thin and wore big black glasses. Not very attractive at all.

We called her Speedy because as soon as she got on her corner she made a sale.

Us kids you to call out to her and make fun of her. Then she had to go and tell my Grandfather and get me in trouble.

I still watched the other kids make fun of her and laugh.

Horses, as my research indicates, do not have thumbs. It is, therefore, very difficult for them to manipulate broken pieces of anything in such a way as to reconstruct them. They should have called in all the king's chickens, since they are the egg experts. Also, why not give the women a go? Women are often quite skilled at putting things back together! At least they could have brought sewing kits or something.

GIVE ME A BREAK - I grew up on those nursery rhymes and I never gave a real thought to them. I just liked how they rhythmed.

These rhymes have been around how many years? Bugs Bunny, Road Runner among other cartoons have been around how many years?

Funny that the generations that grew up with these things didn't have the problems with society as they have today. Instead of pulling things out their tapedshut.gif from the past, why don't they look at this day and age. Pick out what is wrong now.

Look at the video games the kids are playing. Look how lazy kids are today. I went outside as soon as I got up in the morning and other then to eat I stayed out until the street lights came on.

There was roller skating, riding bikes, tag, on and on. Going to the library for the day. Now you hardly see kids out at all. My DD bought my GS a battery car that even has a radio in it for his BD. I can't even act excited about it. What happen to the little cars that you peddled?

I chased my GS around the yard the other day and he was out of breath. I have never in my life seen a two yr old out of breath before. What is becoming of our children?

TV, video games and the phone that's what's happened.

So instead of digging up old nursery rhymes these people need to look at the world they created for their children.

I use to respect and admire our elders for their wisdom of the world you don't see that anymore. Just a couple of months ago in Detroit a guy car jacked a 90 yr old man. Instead of just taking his car he beat him first.

The family unit is breaking down. And, I don't mean you have to be a Mom and a Dad and Siblings. A family is many different faces of your relatives and close friends that show the children guidence.

Many Mothers like all of you are trying to make this a better world for your children but it is such a task because you are fighting the odds. My heart goes out to you Mothers. You may have new gagets to make raising children easier but you have more fears.

You have to worry about what Daycare or Babysitter you leave your kids with. You have to worry about what school your children are going to, you can't take your eyes off of them at the park. Children are taught not to talk to any stranger. When I'm in a store and I see a cute child I want so bad to talk with them but I don't dare. My DH won't even look at a child. By no means is your job easy.

And then you have Idiots that are worried about what is in a Nursery Rhyme.

Idiots, Idiots I tell you.

Keeping my balance while I step of my soapbox.
