My husband was outraged that they made him eat veggies now too and not just cookies. He's COOKIE monster for crying out loud. I think parents need to be better role models for their kids and leave the pc stuff out of cartoons. Of course most of the cartoons now suck and are too violent for kiddos anyway. My dads favorite was always the old guys in the balcony. Anybody remember them?

krystal i made a half choc half white 12x18. i baked one layer choc and one layer white then just cut them in half and stuck them together then stacked them. it worked out good
that myspace thing was really sad it made me tear up i remeber my baby being in the hospital with tubes and stuff all over. it s awful having to see a baby like that and especially when someone purposely does something to hurt a them

Hello-
How is everyone today? Not a lot to catch up on, I'm surprised. I am dog sitting for 2 little dogs starting today! Ahhhh...they got here this morning. One is a Shitzu and the other is a Boston Terrier that is deaf. Plus my dog, which is a chow/black lab mix and my cat. Add 3 kids and 2 adults = CRAZINESS! Plus I have strep which isn't good, but at least I'm on meds now. I'm hoping to start next week out being on here more. I've missed everyone. 
Did the WFHC ever get started on myspace?
Julie-I've been watching that myspace page. The first time I saw it, I ran and hugged my son. My son was looking at me like I was crazy. I say a prayer for them all the time. I just don't understand people who can hurt kids.

Monica-I am no help on the potty issue. Maybe she just starts playing and doesn't want to stop to go potty. So then when she is about to explode, she can't control it.
Cathy-Sounds like you will be very busy. I hope you get to go for sushi and your son will understand. My dh and I are just learning how important alone time is. We've been getting distant for awhile now and are trying to fix that.

I am so embarrassed. 
Today was dance/gym day for Taylor. Well, close to the end of class one of the teachers comes out (as always) and explains what they did for the day, what skills they worked on. Well, today she added that they don't discipline they just let them sit out for a few secs....blah, blah then she says that she's sure the parents were wondering why their kids were sitting out for a few secs away from the group and she just wanted to explain that they weren't in trouble or anything they were just arguing. Okay, I'm laughing and said - well kids do that. Think nothing more of it, but THEN...Taylor is reading with daddy downstairs I come in and we're all talking and Taylor says "I had time out at the gym". WHAT???!!! 
I had no idea the teacher was talking about MY child!!! See, Mimi & Jido came by to watch her class so I was talking to them while she was doing her gym thing - I new even knew any of the kids had time out until the teacher said something. So afterwards I let Mimi buy her ice cream!!!! WTH?? I'm so embarrassed!!!
But on a lighter note, my bras arrived today and they were supposed to come in until the end of June! 
Monica - have you tried the reward system for potty training?? If you make it in plenty of time, 2 m&m's, get there just in time 1 m&m, pee in your pants, obviously no m&m's. My kids wanted those m&m's so bad.......It can be any TREAT that they usually don't get, but would love to. Or do a reward system on a chart. Get stars if you do good, have a star taken away when you don't. You get 5 stars (or some other number) you get a treat...McD's or a small toy or ice cream....something like that.

my sons school tried to do the whole healthy snack party thing i think its dumb they only have like 3-4 parties the whole year and the whole point of having a party is to eat cupcakes and candy and other junk its not like they have a party everyday. so i still take cupcakes hehehehe i know im the devil but wht fun is a party without cupcakes
My kids' schools are sooo going to hate me...for so many reasons but #1 being that if I can't make it myself and it can't be fattening then you get NOTHING.

That picture is a year old. Sorry, however, that baby in the pic is now a mommy (My parents thought it was a boy 
) Her babies are cute though. They took two from our cats liter. Both girls. Thought one was a boy, and got the girl fixed. I say if theyd gotten the "boy" taken care of they wouldn't have 4 kittens to give away!
They have enjoyed them though...we had to put my cat that lived with them down after 14 yrs. When my parents moved out of the house we grew up, in my cat that they still had custody of ran away and was gone for like 3 months. Once DH & I had a house I decided to leave her with my mom and dad since she did not do to well with the first move. Besides by that time she and my father had become quite good buddieshe even changed her name!!! Called her Whitfield instead of Whitney! Guess he thought Whitney was to girly for him to shouting across the yard. Hed whistle for her like she was a dog!
was only gunna have 1 cake for this weekend but i got an order for one for friday. a 14in round i hate making rounds that big. then the lady that wants the german choc for a first communion wants me to write the words in white icing WTF!!! thats gunna look so ugly i was gunna use dark brown i am definatley not postin gthis cake cause i know im gunna hate it
Maybe if you did it in dark brown first, and then write over it in white, sort of a shadow effect. And tie it in with something white at the borders and/or bottom. THEN do a huge disclaimer when you post it.

Waldorf and Statler are the "guys in the balcony" they now do movie reviews (I believe on movies.go.com, VERY funny) The kids ticked me off SO bad while I was trying to cook, I couldn't even get them lunch made cause they were acting up that I sent them to bed without feeding them! Ha! Then I finished making their food and allowed it to get cool enough to eat, set their tables all up and THEN got them up to eat. Dang kids. Gotta love them but sheesh!
