Termite, what percentage were you looking at the photo at? If you're looking at a 110 pixel photo at 400%, it will be blurred and blocky.

It's the black fondant from Caljavaonline.com

It smells like tootsie rolls. Doesn't it?

martha, I thought of that too. Moving our thread to the lounge. Starting up a new thread with the same title so we still feel at home.

I always worry about getting in trouble with the powers to be. I lost it a couple of times with my big mouth because someone was being an Idiot and then I get all worried that I'm going to be in trouble.

On the other side of the coin, if people to see our thread they will know how much fun CC can be.

I thought too cake_freak might have gotten bored with us. Has anyone pm her? I think Nick (also a High School student) gotten bored with us. I don't see him post much anymore. He did get to the highest level and there is no where else to go. So that would be like a video game whe you have reached your highest score you don't want to play anymore. I hope I'm wrong because he is so funny.

I am terrible with names. My GD name is Rachelle, with an "a". She's 3 months and I'm still calling her Rochelle with an "o". My daughter gets irate with me. It told her she knows how I am with names, why did she pick one that I am going to have trouble remembering.

When my kids were younger and I had my mind going in several directions, I would go to yell at them and my mind went blank. I would just point to them and say "whatever your name is, you know your not suppose to do that".

Earlier someone mentioned they had two wedding cakes to do this weekend. I wondered if they worked in their home. If so how could you swing that? Twice I've had to pull an all nighter to get a cake done.

I keep wondering how old I will be when I'm too old to do cakes. I only wished I had gotten started in my 30's. I may own a Bakery by now. At my age I just enjoy doing a cake here or there.

I had a young woman that I'm doing her wedding cake this July. If only all Brides could be as sweet as her. I did her Shower cake and she told me what the theme was and said do whatever you want, I trust your judgement.

Her wedding she gave me a pic of what she had in mind and said make what I thought would be nice. And, the Shower cake flavors she left it to me to pick the flavors. She said "whatever you want".

Her 8 wk payment was due on the 12th. I felt so bad because I had to e-mail her a reminder. I knew she just forgot. She e-mailed me back three times, she feels so bad about it. And, she is just going to send me the balance due.

She also ordered cookie favors without even seeing a sample.

She came with her Grandmother and she is just as sweet. I meant her Mother before the Shower, I wasn't impressed.

I'm in a position where I can turn customers down. I don't want to deal with a Bridezella. I had a couple come in that I had bad vibes about. I just told them nicely that they should keep looking around. Thank goodness they never called back.

It didn't feel right that the Groom kept asking me so many questions about cake decorating. How I got the frosting so smooth. Like a Dummy I answered him. I have a feeling they ended up doing their own cake.

The same couple did the same thing to my daughter. She is a Wedding Decorator. They went to her place of business and asked a lot of odd questions. So we think they did their own decorating too.

Now, if someone ask about my decorating I just say "oh, we have our little secrets" and change the subject.

I am too trusting. It's a hard world out there and dishonest people. You don't want to believe it but it's true.

That reminds me I ordered some decorating bags from E-Bay over two weeks ago and haven't gotten them or heard from the Seller. I've sent two e-mails with no response. I don't want to report it but they won't answer me.

If I'm ripped off again I am quitting E-Bay. This will be the third time I've got ripped off. And, I'm always careful to look at their feedback history. Bad, people.

mite, you mentioned Johnny Depp and my heart skipped a beat (me sighing)

I remember the strangest things and none of them are important.

January 9th is Richard Nixon's BD (why would I remember something like that.

August 16th Madonna's BD, the day Elvis died, Princess Di died and the day that a plane (can't remember the flight number) crashed at Metro airport.

I am full of useless knowledge.

Janette - Tell your DD if she doesn't give up on the name thing you'll just start calling GD ella or ellie! Both of those are totally adorable. Or you could call her Rach. I love nicknames....probably cuz I don't have one! My kids are Becca (rebecca), Chris(christopher) and Cara (Carolyn)!

Wow! You guys are so good at following directions! icon_lol.gif How come my kids can't be like that!! They are out playing in the sprinklers!

Side note- icon_lol.gif I live in the country on 30 acres. I send my kids to play in the street! icon_lol.gif Although we had some vandalism last week. Someone came onto the property and shot out some windows in two different vehicles near our shop building! Yikes!

Hey Martha, we can call you Marth.

Janette, the only thing I can think of to come back with is July 6 is the current President Bush's birthday. And I only know that because that is my birthday too. DH is full of useless knowledge too and I let him know that - and often! But he is GREAT to have on your team for a game of trivial pursuit!

Yeah a few call me Mar (DH and my brother). But that is just harder to say then just saying Martha! icon_lol.gif I was in school when Back to Future came out. There was no way I was going to let anybody call me Marty! That was a boy's name! icon_lol.gif I was always okay with my name though even though I never met another Martha (who was my age!) Since I was named after my Grandma (Mimi).

I think I've only met 2 Martha's and no I wouldn't like Marty either. thumbsdown.gif But how nice to be named after your mimi, which by the way is what my kids call my DH's mother. which by the way, her real name is Gita and everyone calls her Tootsie though. It is funny because when we are saying our goodbyes I always say "Bye Tootsie" and sometimes DD says it too. It's too cute.

Janette, Flight 258....I remember that day, we lived about 10 minutes from the airport but could hear the crash. It's so horrible. Do you ever wonder about the little girl who survived it? I hope she is ok.

Monica, you are killing me with thre crickets. Hey, did you guys move to another area? Please let me know if you do....I would hate to be in here talking to myself....lol my hubby is used to it, but ya know....

I didn't even know there was another "area" for that kind of thing.

The football cake would be perfect for my hubby. I am so glad you posted it. Unfortunately, I would have to put a lions helmet being taken down by any other team....lol

I guss I missed all the pics, but I am sure you are all as gorgeous as I am....lol
