Oh gosh! That's not MY website, lol, I just posted it because of the prices she (Carrie) is getting for her cakes, and her designs look simple enough.

I am just starting in this business so I won't develop a website until my kids are in school so I have more free time to do more cakes; they are only 2 yrs and 6 mos right now and I am only doing 2 cakes/week.

I agree, Janette you give great advice. Wish I were more like you.
Instead of lipo can someone donate a backbone???

Terminte, yes it's a hint. Come on add that pic. I don't like taking pics because I'm so self concious of how I look but on CC we are all beautiful icon_lol.gif

I saw Shrek the 3rd and I don't recall them saying the babies names. I don't wanna ruin it for the people who have not watched it but I will tell you this. Prince charming wears "pink legwarmers" I was busting a gut when I saw that. Flashback to the 80's. he he he

Locked out at 1000?? Why not just meet on the lounge? It's ok to go off subject on that one right?

I'm glad I can help Roxxxy. Good choice!
Oh! I too thought DH was for "dumb hubby" icon_redface.gif

The cake -- um, a big concoction of weird things are in the oven currently. IF it comes out good, I won't be able to replicate it. I found a site that listed things like bananas, applesauce, cornstarch, soy powder, etc for egg subs. Wouldn't you know I had none of that either. So, its got a box of pudding, extra oil, some butter, creamer, milk...Hee hee.

Monica- Would you mind sharing the link please?

We're rapidly approaching 1000! posts! I feel like Y2K all over again...what if we automatically get locked at 1000?

Three times this past week I thought we got locked out because I couldn't find the forum. (yeah, sometimes I'm not the brightest person around)

I am taking Suze Ormon's advice and starting at the price I want to receive now, not lowering my rates just to get business. I will probably even increase my rates as I become moreprofessional! I am charging $3.50 per fondant, whimsy, slice and $4.00 for topsy turvy or 3D designs.
Check out these prices! icon_surprised.gif

I know, I know! icon_redface.gif I was like, WOW, you are making a LOT of money on your cakes! My kids are little, too. 3 and 1, so I can only do it sparingly as well.

Okay, so here is something really about cakes: While on this site my husband happened to look at someone's avatar which was a picture of a football helmet of some team I don't remember which. He said "is that a cake, because if it is, then that's a cool cake." But it was not a cake just a picture, BUT then I said to him, "I can make one!!!" So that is now my new idea. Here's what I am thinking, a ball cake, carve for helmet then for the face mask I could use fondant (which by the way it is soooo freakin hot in my house my marshmallows are melting on their own so I don't even need to use the microwave for that part of the mmf). Then do a FBCT for the bills logo (yeah I know they SUCK but that's his team - GO STEELERS!!!)

Soooo - what do you all think about that??
