I LOVE the cartoon book! It has the Flintstones, Taz, Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo (no, I'm not afraid of Scooby! it was MONSTER HOUSE!), Daffy Duck and many more!
Now I need a reason to make one of these cakes!! My son wants Taz, but his birthday is on Thursday. I don't think that I can do it that quickly because of the firefighter cake that I need to do on Monday/Tuesday! Maybe I'll make it for DH for Father's Day

I got off work, picked up my girls and then some.
My niece, nephew and my cousins girls are here so now I have
(3)4 yr olds, (1)7 year old, (2) 17 years olds and (1) 13 year old.
My hubby is still not back from work. He's doing his Long Beach and Los Angeles post office runs and said he should be home by 9:30 so that we can take the crazy bunch to see Shrek 3. OMG!!!
I'm in for a LONG weekend with all these little ones.
But I don't mind, they keep me young.
Well The Baby Einstein cake was my first 3D cake. I made it the end of Feb. for niece and nephew they turned 5 and wanted a BE party. So I chose to do their cake. I started learning the Wilton Way (shameless plug) in Feb. of this year. This was mid course one.
The carriage cake is what I opted to do for my final cake in the Fondant Gumpaste course. I learned the flowers from the gumpaste flower book by Wilton. That was the end of April I am currently taking the tiered course or Course three now. The Cinderella cake was my 3rd 3D cake. I had lost of fun w/ it!!! I loved the light up moon
Oh and The Caterpillar was done in buttercream with the wilton ball pan not the mini pan. That was a big ol cake as was Cinderella. (14 base for Cinderella)

I am like that also, BTW, I buy things because I think I might need them or they look cool and have no idea what to use them for. IE I have white-white coloring (not sure why I need to make white icing white?) and fondant stuff I bought tons of then have yet to make another fondant cake!! Maybe it's cause the smell put me off.
Melting barbie dolls, and all that! Or like that pool smell when you buy another blow-up pool. mmmmmmm
lol! I have the white-white too, and for Americolor, from now on I'm ordering it from CC they have the best prices for that stuff.

I just bought Shrek 2 and am taking my daughter to see Shrek 3 tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your daughter, I didn't say anything because I didn't catch it the first time. First I miss Janette's cookies...
I think I just lose posts every now and then. Ways to make Wilton taste better...eat the cake in the vacinity of a fresh changed diaper. Or (and I'm quite embarrased to say) one you threw by the wayside to chuck later and then it got shoved under other things until one day you said " * what is that smell!)

Yes it's going to be a late night but that is how my hubby is.
He's young at heart. I think i'm the old lady. He loves the night life.
I'm more of a gradma but it's because I wake up 3 hours earlier to drive my girls to my moms 12 miles away 
then I drive back because I only work 2 miles from home then I drive back after work and finally drive back home. So I'm tired most of the time.

I have a nice big back yard and it's all closed in. I don't have any back door neighbors so they are in no danger. My pool has a gate and it's locked. There are tons of toys and gadgets for them to play with.
Besides my nephew and other kids are with them too. 
termite, what is the difference between luster, peal and whats the other one? I don't remember but I am convinced I need them all.

Loops, I do the same but not that far, just about 8 miles to moms house. Keep tyring to get her to meet me at home with my kid, but she doesn't go for it....wonder why?

Sweet, I have no clue what the difference is between the luster, pearl and I don't know the other one either! Although I did buy 3 of I think the luster dust? I'm going to try to use it - o wait maybe I can use it tomorrow. At least then I can tell you whether it flopped or not. I've never used it before, so it'll be my test. I suppose I'm going to have to break down and buy some books. After looking at everyone elses pictures on here, I am apparently not worthy of even posting with you ladies - seriously 
Yes, that means you too CATHY. O and sweet, you probably do need all of those "dusts" - I know I do, I just don't know HOW to use them - yet. So do you guys really like the Wilton gumpaste? I obviously have never used gumpaste (he** can't even use buttercream that well) but after this wilton thread I was scared to death to try it, but I just might have to. I'm getting my hair "did" tomorrow, which is o so conviently located by a Michael's - rekon I'll have to stop in for a few. But I don't know that I'll actually get anything, just found out that we need to get an airconditioner for the house (the cheap ones I'm being told are around $5,000 - WHAT?!?!? that's cheap??) Go figure, but as I told dh, at least it's not Christmas which is when we usually have something go kaput. And no way in he** I'm not having airconditioner in this weather.
