I had a good friend that looked like the friend, Kimmy. I mean spittin image. It was scary. Then she wrecked my car, didn't pay for it and decided the 2K she owed me was worth our friendship. Oh well. I've always heard if you lend a friend money and they disappear it was money well spent. Kind of expensive way to figure it out...But the car's still running! Whoo hoo!

Yes, they no show all the time, so much so that the moderators have sent out several memos about it, and suggestions for avoiding them.

My parents use to have friends over on the weekends when I was a kid, there were like three guys named Mike so we resorted to referring to them by their last names instead of first.

Oh, remember I was telling you about the neighbor who had the "problems" with CPS? If you don't, I'll do a quick run-down after the main point. icon_smile.gif

I was doling out the cake for Father's Day I made and was asking DH who I should take it to. He said "Huh?" I said, should I take cake to Janette's house? He said "There are no fathers over there." WOW.

Ok, the rundown...Josh has two sons, one by his current wife, Malachai, and a younger one by another woman, Eddie. Eddie was taken from his bio mother (medical neglect) and given to Josh. That mother had to be some kind of funked up to think that Josh was better choice. The man was thrilled to get unemployment and immediately came home from Walmart with two shopping bags CHOCK FULL of DVD's, and we're not talking the 2 for $11 bin. Only his mom works and she holds down 2 jobs. They borrow DVD's of seasons of CSI and return them the next day. Ok, CPS came and said they had to move, Eddie was not allowed to stay there with Josh's mom, Janette. He had two weeks to get his son out of there. He said they could not afford to move (easy way out? no more mooching off mommy?) and not only gave Eddie back, but signed away his paternal rights. CPS claimed they saw a bruise on Eddie that looked like a knuckle or finger. They came and got Malachai. That was a month and a half ago. They come home from court, "Oh well, the date got pushed back, we go again in 3 weeks..." and "We know we'll get him back so we're just waiting it out." The mother was happy that she was childless in order to celebrate her 21st birthday.

No, but I was in ROTC in HS and my good friend was "Massey", to this day that's what I call her, even though she's married and its been at least 10 years. I have another friend whose name is Timothy James Pond, so we say his whole name a lot, but not always. My name is Pond....Timmy James Pond. I had a friend named Eddie Murphy. My grandfather is Tom Sawyer (I know I mentioned that not long ago.) I dated a guy in HS that was the nephew of Val Kilmer. (Madmartigan...)
