Bree, my nephew #1 did not talk until he was three!!! His needs were met so he had no need to talk he pointed, we got it for him. While on vacation in Vegas DFIL and DN went into a toy store when my FIL emerged with DN in arms laughing, my MIL asked whats so funny? FIL said, This boy can talk!!!! He looked right at me and said, Grandpa, could you get me that toy off the top shelf please?!!! No first word, just a complete sentence!
My DS turned two in Feb and is just now starting to make out some words besides momma and daddy. In laws are kinda stressed about it because they dont know what he wants and want him in therapy. I usually know what he wants and I think he is just a laid back kind of guy like his daddy. I said I would take him at 3 if he still wasnt talking much. This past 3 weeks he has added about 10 words so Im not worried. Every child is unique and I think we often rush them too much at an early age. He is my first and I remember freaking out and making him spend time on his tummy even though he hated it so he would crawl on time. Then I just made an effort to enjoy each day as it comes and let him mature at his own rate. He is such a sweetie even though he is pushing the two year old boy attitude on me this week!

There was a business woman on each of the corners. If another business woman would try to steal their corner there would be a cat fight and all us kids would come out to watch.
There was this one saleswoman that was really thin and wore big black glasses. Not very attractive at all.
We called her Speedy because as soon as she got on her corner she made a sale.
Us kids you to call out to her and make fun of her. Then she had to go and tell my Grandfather and get me in trouble.
I still watched the other kids make fun of her and laugh.

I'm not legal, but I've never sold a cake. I'm just at the practicing stage for now. I like it, but I don't have the practice or experience or original recipes to have my own shop. I would love to work in a bakery, but with my DD there is no way I could do the hours right now. Any money I've made from a cake (not much) was to cover costs. The first cake that I may have paid is for my niece (cinderellas) and I don't require her to pay, she insists. (SisIL) My neighbor was to be another "paid" cake, Spiderman, but today is Friday and she has no solid information, so I'm not doing it for "sometime this weekend." Seriously, I know that and that might like a Spiderman cake, nothing else. If she shows up at the door, I'm not doing it. Plus I told her she's going to pay me.

Right now I am just doing for family and friends. I always take a cake to a party or get together for free. I hope to open a shop next year. Still in the planning stages but it will be a hell of a lot of work. I will keep you posted as I find things out.

Those are amzing!! My favorite things to make or try are the faux foods! In fact my first cake ever. when I was 11, was faux food! A can of grape soda and a slice of pizza! I wish I had a picture! My friend and I made them for a contest at her church! I think I won something... I can't remember- how funny--I haven't thought about that for YEARS!! Im gonna have to check with her mom.....
