Although this is not my biggest disaster (I don't have a photo of that one!) It is a close second. This was one of the first novelty cakes I made

Hi Mamabakes3,

in the reply box there are some images at the top, you want to click on the 5th image from the right and it will give you the option to upload a photo, hope this helps

This was my first cake. As you can see, the edges are WAVY! LOL. The pan was a normal 13x9 rectangle. I didn't know at the time to only let the cake rest in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack. It had big chunks falling out and was pieced back together. Good thing my son's birthday is Dec 31st and it was very cold!

AOk here goes....this was for my anniversary last year. Like my second cake ever. A rainbow cake inside which was perfect but I used marshmallow whipped frosting under the fondant....enough said! At least my husband loved it. :)

Here's another bad one. It was NOT fun to dedorate and it took forever! I should have iced it all one color to start with and pipe the stripes. It was, however, red velvet and a big hit with my little guy!

I'd like to join! I don't have a photo of my worst cake which was a cake I made for my husband 7 years ago. The cake didn't bake right- it wasn't edible and the ganache I made was terrible! Not sure what I put into it now come to think of it. It put me off ganache (but not baking cakes!) until recently when I made a lovely batch of ganache, so lovely i can't stop eating it. Anyhow, here is a pic of my worst cakes. I'm posting two because between them, I can't decide which is worse:

The fire engine cake is my first fondant covered cake, can you tell? The top wasn't level which is why the turning table the fire engine is sitting on is wonky. It was also my first RKT model (the truck) and I struggled covering it in fondant.

The batman and robin cake is equally appalling- The buttercream looked smudged in places and for the life of me I could not figure out how to keep his right forearm glued on. Some of the kids at the party also decided to touch the cake in parts, so there were plenty of smudged buttercream and royal icing!

nancylee, your cake is lovely! Mine is the disastrous one, made with overbeaten (that's my excuse anyway) whipped cream:

I have loved reading this thread, so so funny.  I loved the Giant Booties and the melting ladybird.

Here's my contribution.  It was my first cake and is supposed to be the 17th hole at Sawgrass Golf Course. I look at it now and am so embarrassed with it.  I am especially proud of the bunker sliding into the water!  I'm still not great but luckily I've not made one this bad since.

Honest opinion................your friend is just jealous.  That cake design is all the rage now.  What's wrong with her.  It's perfect.

My system keeps acting up.  The white roses cake is marked with an X 700 instead of the photo and the blue one ...........well, let's say that if you changed the color it would look like a Cheetos cake and that too is popular now with teens and men.  So you win either way.  :-)

Just needs a border around the base of the cake and it would be just fine.  Seriously.  :-)
