Southland Season Wrap Cake
Done for the cast and crew of Southland Season 4 (on TNT). I did some extra work on the show and this cake for them. They loved it. It was HUGE! 33" L x 15"W. It nearly killed me w/ no sleep over three days but, as always, was worth it for the end result. Regina King twitted a pic of it! Chocolate badges. All edible.

Spongebob Squarepants
I made and donated this cake to three birthday boys who are part of an adopted family made up of 50 adopted boys ALL with severe medical problems. I volunteer with Icing Smiles (we all can and should! It's awesome) a non profit w/ volunteers like US CCers who make cakes for terminally ill or sick kids and their siblings. More info at w.w.w. dot Icingsmiles dot org They LOVED it! All edible (except the balloon, of course)

Masquerade Theme
Quincinera cake. My design was inspired by the birthday girl's dress. Sugar mask inspired by her mask. The purple looks different shades in every pic but in real life the fondant and satin ribbons were the same shade because, well, I'm anal like that. All edible except the "bling" and feathers. Flashing lights up-lit the feathers and one was underneath the dress "ruffle" on the bottom tier. Cakes sizes: 12", 10", 9", 7"-6"-7" (hourglass tier), 5". Super happy with how this turned out!! TFL!

All Buttercream Treasure Chest
Mom says to me, "Jaxon HATES fondant...oh, but you ONLY do fondant cakes, right?" hahahaha!! If it can be done in fondant in can be done in buttercream, my lovely! Treasure chest, skull and lock are all buttercream (stiffen b/c with PS and you can do a lot with it). The only fondant on this is the Happy Birthday on the cake board. Gems are candy melts and candies dusted with gold and petal dusts. Lettering on cake is candy melts. TFL! Chest is 9x12 quarter sheet cut in thirds and stacked. Airbrushed finish.

Pirate Ship
All edible except for wooden "masts". Design from Debbie Brown's enchanted cake. Books says to apply fondant in strips but they separated at the seams while be transported over an hour so next time I'll cover in one piece of fondant and etch in wood slats and texture. Treasure chest is smash cake. Sugar figure modeled after bday boy who was wearing the same outfit. Ship carved from a 9"x13" quarter sheet pan. Thanks for looking!

Jack Skellington Bday Cake
For my dear friend's 40th. She loves Jack Skellington. Cupcakes and stand came after I realized I didn't have any foam core for the base cake board and I didn't feel like running to Michael's. Necessity really IS the mother of all invention!! hahaa!! Happy accident though since I love the way it turned out! Jack is 1/2 of Wilton ball pan over two layer, 8" cake. Cupcakes are lemon flavored cake colored orange. TFL!!

Topsy Turvy Wedding Cake
3 hours of sleep in 48 hours for this and a groom's cake... who do I think I am??? ugh... turned out this beautiful cake though. Bottom two tiers (14", 12") are styro followed by three topsy turvy, hour glass carved tiers. learned a lot. should've used larger tiers than regular topsy turvy scale because the bottom of the hour glass shape is wider than I planned so when I cut the holes I cut away so much cake only fondant was left to hold the angle and it didn't hold very well. (hope this makes sense) all tiers were as sharp as the top tier but lost the angles when I cut away cake. Still turned out beautiful. Thanks for looking! Any color discrepancy if from the flash bouncing off the mirrored table. Fondant was all one color thanks to kneading 20lbs of ivory...whew!!

Video Poker Cake
All edible except for the plastic half dome on top of poker machine and the light underneath it. Flashing lights were also in the coin tray flashing on the coins. Brandy bottle is cake, drink in the glass is fondant with piping gel "brandy". Coin pieces are chocolate painted with Nu Silver luster dust. Edible image for the screen. They loved it! Thanks for looking. Viva Las Vegas!!!

Military Deployment Cake
Made for our cousin who was deployed. Three stacked 13 inch x 9 inch oval layers. I was trying to get the desert camo look and used crumpled saran wrap to apply color (light and dark green with some flecks of white) over tan fondant (the tan was a bit too dark but I wasn't about to knead more fondant so it had to do). Tissue was removed after everything set and before delivery. All edible. Thanks for looking. God Bless our troops!

Navy Blue And White Wedding Cake
I love how this cake turned out! The bride brought me a picture of this design done in black and white but wanted it done in her colors of Navy blue. My apologies to that cake artist that I can't give him/her credit because there was no name. Bling is all acrylic. Bows are fondant. Airbrushed Super Pearl over the top.
