The 8"x4" cake is iced in buttercream. A mini doll skirt is used for the hat which is covered in fondant (brim is fondant dried in a bowl to shape). Chile peppers are fondant.
This 1/2 egg is cake is small - about 5"x7" covered in fondant.; decorated simply with dots, ribbon and bow (fondant). Created a couple of yrs ago after seeing them in a Wm. Sanoma catalog .... selling for something like $50!
Make for a monthly office b'day celebration.....Cinco DeMayo. The serape & banners are fondant airbrushed. The hat is 3 layer 8" round with slight sculpting - all buttercream and airbrushed silver.

This 9x13x2 sheet is baked in a glass casserole dish so the top & corners are rounded. It is then iced in buttercream. All decoration are fondant.
The largest oval pan is used for this Easter basket. A cookie bunny peeks out of the jelly bean eggs. Wafer paper butterfly; flowers are royal icing lilies and a gumpaste one.

These buttercream hearts are 12, 10, 8. Drape & borders are fondant, as are most of the hand made flowers. Made for a 50th anniversary it could also be used as a lady's birthday, shower, or wedding cake.
The 14, 10, 6" tiers are iced in ivory buttercream and decorated w/seaweed and chocolate molded shells. The seaweed is created by dipping piping gel covered florist wire in non-perials - very delicate:( The seeds drop off at the least bit of handling. This was a display at a Bridal Fair, then in my shop.
The tiers are 14, & 12" rounds w/10 and 6" hearts all iced with buttercream. Fondant lace trims along with roses and calla lilies decorate it. I haven't posted this for a long time because I wasn't very happy with it :)
The man this 12x18x2 sheet was for planned to do a lot of fishing following his retirement. Both pictures are frosting sheets on buttercream icing
This was a popular design back about 5 years ago. All the tiers are iced in buttercream - a 16" sq; 14" round; 10" sq and 6" round. The dots, ribbon band and bow are fondant. This was delivered about 35 miles over rough roads already put together :)
This arrangement is elevated 4" by a styrofoam round; two 8" round are pushed slightly under the 'main' cake consisting of 16, 12, 8, and 6" tiers. All are buttercream. Roses are air-dried buttercream. This was set up around 9 a.m. for a 6 pm wedding - the only way I could fit in the delivery of all 4 cakes that day. I never got any of my equipment back :(
Gumpaste Gerber daisies and wafer paper butterflies decorate these 3 buttercreamed tiers. The stripes on the bottom tier were meant represent a fence. It is sooooooooo hard to put these stacked cakes on top of that over-the-fountain set-up! :(
This 2 tier creation could be used for a small wedding or anniversary. The tiers are 10" & 6"; iced in buttercream. Flowers are gumpaste roses, stephenotis(sp?) and carnations. Cupids are fondant from a mold; hearts cut w/a cookie cutter.
This was actually made for a man's changing jobs. The 11x15x2 sheet is iced in buttercream. The Leprechaun is a frosting sheet picture. Coins are foil wrapped chocolates. This idea could also be used for a birthday, retirement or of course St. Patrick's Day.
Two SUS (BakeryCraft's single use stand) were used for this display consisting of the largest oval, two 12" and 2 10" rounds and a shell. All buttercreamed. Royal Icing 'seaweed'; chocolate molded sea shells. This was made for a charity event. The plaque on the lgst tier (center) is their logo.
The 12, 9, 6" round tiers are displayed on a BakeryCrafts Single Use stand. They are iced in b'cream. All decorations are molded fondant from molds - Cupids, hearts, roses. Handmade gumpaste orchids and lilies.
This was a display cake in my shop. The 3 heart tiers are iced in b'cream; Royal Icing lace points; fondant ruffles & flowers. Real burgundy ribbon.
This is just a cake board that has been decorated as the top of a sheet cake. I used it as a display @ my shop. All buttercream icing. Pansies make a great flower for mother's day cakes. Of course such a design could easily be used for a women's birthday or even a shower cake.
Made for a celebration of their engagement & the BTB's b'day this grouping consists of fire 6x3" hearts surrounding a 12x4" heart. All iced & decorated with b'cream. Roses are air-dried b'cream. Could be used for a birthday, anniversary or shower party.
This consists of one 10", two 8" and a 6" round. All icing is buttercream. The trees are coverd w/tip 18 pulled stars in b'cream over ice cream cones. The styrofoam stand (SUS from BakeryCrafts) is covered in cotton batting.
This 12x18x2 sheet is iced in buttercream with frosting sheet pictures. The calculator tape is fondant as are the roses. Borders are zigzags from a large leaf tip.
I was given a small magazines picture to copy. The buttercreamed stacked square tiers have fondant stripes & leaves. Not my favorite, but it's what the customer wanted. It could be used for a birthday, shower, graduation or anniversary or as it was a wedding.
