My First Whimsical Cake...
My first one of these, made for someone who is driving it home themselves...3 hours away! omg! All fondant, 4, 6, and 8" cakes. I used the tutorial on here that helped a lot, and I had some mishaps with stacking, but you can't really tell... had fun doing it though--hope it survives the trip! Vanilla caramel cake, chocolate with PB filling, and white cake with raspberry. Design is from a picture they emailed me.

Lilacs And Freezing Rain...
OMG you guys! This bride had no Plan B, which was OUTside today in pouring rain, 42 degrees, and wind! I donated this cake and set it up in a tangle of people trying to set up food in a 15" square shelter, and the rain was blowing INto the shelter and hitting the cake...had to airbrush the mess and the people out. SO cold! My hands were numb! 4, 8, 12" , white cake w/rasp, chai cake w/chai spice BC, and carrot. Usually hate these toppers, but her idea was cute.

Alladin-Style Donation Cake
This was so, SO fun to make! It's my interpretation of a Margeret Braun design, with a little of Colette in the topper idea. All fondant and royal, painted with luster dust. Topper is sugar molds covered with fondant. 8" red velvet cake for a benefit auction for a friend who has brain cancer. I think I have a new favorite style of cake to make, though I think I spent about 15 hours on it. :)

The "after" Picture, With Flowers
The same cake I delivered to a bride's mom, for them to drive it to the venue and place flowers. I was nervous, but it traveled well for them, and they did a pretty job setting it up. The bride said it was also the best cake she ever tasted, so I'm thrilled too! I was so glad to see how they dressed it up. :)

Outdoors-Y Groom!
The bride found this cute topper but didn't want it on the cake, so we did a groom's cake, yellow cake with chocolate filling and IMBC icing. Chocolate rocks, piping gel for water, fondant camp items, royal piped trees on ice cream cones, plastic deer and lantern. TOO fun!! thanks for looking

Asian Theme From A Colette's Cake
This is my display cake for the bridal festival here this weekend. I only had to do one cake, and the booth theme is black and red/Asian, so I thought I'd attempt this Colette's cake. I'm thrilled with how it turned out, though I wish it was darker red. Wilton fondant, sponged with a mix of super red, ruby, and coral luster dust. Run-sugar fans, GP flowers (ordered online). Thanks for looking!

Green Orchid Wedding
Ok, first I have to say, I LOVED this cake. I got creative license to do whatever I wanted, as long as it was a more chunky design, with lime green orchids. 6, 8, 10 vanilla caramel cake with caramel IMBC filling and IMBC icing. Royal electric green orchids piped directly onto the cake with tip 104 and tip left 97, dotted with burgundy food paste on a toothpick. I totally guessed on the orchid "type" (she just said "green orchids"), and to my delight, her flowers were an EXACT match! :)

Celtic Theme
All IMBC, Celtic knot design (NOT easy to translate to piping, let me telly ou!) Bride's cake was almond genoise filled with raspberry and whipped white chocolate ganache. Sheets were chocolate w/rasp, white w/rasp, and creme brulee cake with caramel sauce and Bavarian creme filling. @ weddings this big both today--I'm exhausted--one more tomorrow!

White On White
IMBC red velvet bride cake, carrot and german chocolate sheets, served about 296--but found out on setup that there are 350 confirmed guests. The caterer looked stunned when I told him the quantity ordered...Not my problem...I did two weddings this big for the same day--I must be insane.

Quilted Buttercream
One of those days! Another outside cake (not what I expected) but it was OK, until I backed into a pole as I was leaving, THEN got all the way home an hour after the wedding started and realized they'd paid for my 22" silver cake plateau too! So I zoomed back and set it up DURING THE RECEPTION. The photog and MOB were really nice and we had a bit of a laugh about it, but OMG how embarrassing. BC with pearl dragees. 6, 10, 16", lemon poppyseed cake, carrot, and choc. First time quilting with press on.
