Turquoise And Purple Whimsy
this was done in a 4, 6, 9" round, all gp decor and fondant accent on IMBC. As it turns out, I believe the photo the customer brought me was from CC, wish I knew WHO did the original. Anyway, so it's a copy of someone here--thank you, whoever you are, for the inspiration! It was a ball to make. And I traveled with it STACKED. Yipes

Rainbow Birthday
A 16th birthday cake I squeezed in on Bridal Festival weekend. Bottom two are dummies, top 4, and 6" are cakes. Fondant with gp bow loops. I didn't make time to figure out how to run colors together and make ribbon with a pasta machine, so I hand PAINTED the ribbons. Gumball borders. Total decorating time from icing to done: 11 HOURS. Also made the puffy base and a sparkly GP #16 topper that isn't shown. Fortunately they paid a fortune for the 12 servings it contained, but wow what a lot of time!

Smallest Firetruck Ever
This cake was about as big as the image you see of it! I think it was 4 x 3.5 x 6". All fondant and royal, GP mirrors and bumpers. It was supposed to be more realistic and less cartoonish, but at this scale, it wasn't happening. Another one that proves that the smallest cakes can kick your butt--this one had me in tears at 11 pm trying to get it to look 'right', but they loved it. Surprise grad gift for a son going to college

Lots Of Dots
Note to self: Never, ever promise I can do smooth-iced cupcakes. EVER. I was at the shop til like 1 am icing these things, each one individually, and it was messy and hateful, then I went back in the morning and piped all the dots, and I wanted to cry, I was so tired. Three weddings that day, this being one of them...made me despise cupcakes, though I did one more this year after this. Made the topper from GP to match their logo/theme.

Celtic/italian Wedding
The heaviest cake I've ever done, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16"! All IMBC, quilted with gold dragees, with a layer each with Celtic knot and Italian scrollwork, as a nod to their separate heritages. The ribbon is actually vibrant deep purple, but comes off as black in the pic. Deep purple callas and peacock feathers...I had to assemble on site, which I hate, so some of the angles weren't as perfect as I'd have liked on the setup or the ribbon, but they were thrilled with it. Original design was for cascades of callas on all 4 sides, until we realized it was over $2000.00 worth of flowers! so we modified that idea quite a bit

Black And Red
Their last name was Hart, so they loved the heart cakes. lced in Bettercream with black royal piping and a wire topper I made which exactly copied the shape of the hearts on their invitations, which I then piped with black royal icing as well. GP roses, black satin ribbon. They loved it!

Lots Of Dragees
A robot theme cake with lots of silver dragees attached to the fondant, one by one...Topper was an inside joke. I'd thought the whole wedding was silver and metal but arrived to find a tent festooned in deep purple and golden yellow and orange...??" Coldest wedding tent ever--49 degrees in that outdoor tent when I delivered.

My First Cupcake Tower
Sweet 16 b-day with jazz, roaring 20s theme, all black, white and silver. White and chocolate cakes, royal icing B's and music notes on cupcakes, GP 16 painted silver, and fondant zebra stripes painted black. Stand from logicpic, I haven't wanted to get into cc's, but I have four orders for them this year, so ...they're growing on me. I suppose.

Classic Pillared Cake
Another wedding for a friend's son, also piped this one at the last minute, painted like crazy and rolled ribbon flowers about 2 hours before they picked it up. They drove it an hour and a half away and set up themselves, and they said everyone said it was the 'best cake they'd ever had in their lives', so that was good!

My Basic Bake Me A Cake
All white cake, plain IMBC icing and filling, their choice of accent color, 6, 8, 10" for $149.00. This particular was a bit stressful, because she changed the piping color on this from pale pink to pale yellow about AN HOUR before it needed to go in the car to deliver, and I was out of royal icing, so had to run to the store for powdered sugar, etc. Piped like a mad woman and got it done, then went straight home and packed to go back east for a week in DC. Stressful day...but it went fine. Wasn't wild about the white-white topper...
