Wedding Cake
This was the wedding cake I did for my brother's wedding the beginning of this year. The easiest cake I've ever made actually. It was more work setting it up then decorating it. Of course, I made the flowers in three sizes a week in advance. She wanted the yellow centers so it wouldn't be all white. It was kind of funny because my family had never really seen a lot of the cakes I've made in person (I would email a photo) so my youngest brother made quite the exclamation (not repeatable) when he saw it.

Wilton Course 3 Final Exam Cake
This was the cake I made for the final exam in Course Three. The guys at my husbands office let it sit for about 4 hours before they finially decided to cut into it. They apparently didn't want to deface it. It was a lot of fun, but I don't think I'll ever do string work on a cake again. Between the breakage with moving it and the pain on my carpo-tunnel, it's just not in me to do that kind of design. It did turn out really nicely though.

Power Puff Girls
This particular character pan has gotten a lot of use (it's one that every little girl seems to love). I've done this cake top 3 times in the last 6 months. This was the one I did for my middle daughter's bday. I like to use the character pan cake on top of a regular cake so I can have the design, but it is also a big enough cake to serve as many guests as we tend to get at our parties. And I get to be more creative decorating the side of the cake too.

Sponge Bob Square Pants
This is a "character" cake I did for my friends son's birthday. I'm not a big fan of the star tip, so I filled it in with a larger round tip (size depended on the area I was filling) after outlining with a #2 or #3 (depending on what I was outlining). It was a lot of fun to make.

Pokemon Birthday Cake
My 4 year old is totally into Pokemon and insisted on a pokemon cake for his birthday this weekend. This cake took 12+ hours to create. Less than 5 min to demolish! It was totally worth all the effort for the smiles on his face. Each character on the side is a separate frozen transfer. Black runs really bad, so I was able to limit this problem by gently placing a paper towel every 10 min to absorb the beads of condensation to make a crisper image.

Tweety For Bird Camp
My oldest dtr attended two weeks of advanced bird camp through the Audubon Society. This cake was put together for their "graduation" sleep over party. My daughter wrote out the text on paper for me to put on the cake. I used the frozen buttercream transfer technique for both Tweety and the text (the text was very interesting to do backwards).
